Penis Bumps From Lipoma

The popular image of the penis imagines a very smooth organ, perhaps with some raised veins, but generally smooth. In fact, many if not most penises have some kind of penis bumps, even if they are tiny and pale like Fordyce spots. There are other common forms of penis bumps, like PPP (pearly penile papules) or even just plain old acne, which don’t have a significant penis health issue. But there are also some other penis bumps that are less common, such as when a bump is a lipoma.

What is a lipoma?

A lipoma is rare but by no means unheard of, occurring in about 1 in 1000 people. However, lipomas appearing as penis bumps (rather than bumps on, say, the torso or the arms) is fairly rare - although again, by no means unheard of.

But what is a lipoma? It’s really nothing more than a tumor made up of an accumulation of fatty tissue. The term "tumor" tends to scare people, but these tumors are not cancerous and don’t typically cause any harm (which is certainly good news).

Although lipomas may cause penis bumps, a more accurate term might be penis lumps. Although they are small for lumps, they are rather big for bumps, sometimes reaching a size of about 2 inches across. A lipoma may appear singularly, but usually there are more than one.

Because the lipoma is made of fat, it isn’t hard and solid, but a bit pliable. Usually if it is pressed on, it moves slightly or indents a bit. In most cases, a lipoma isn’t painful, although if it is situated right on or near a nerve, it could cause some discomfort, especially if it is touched or if pressure is placed upon it. In some instances, a lipoma may form on a muscle, and that can also cause some pain.

What causes it?

Although lipomas have been around for quite a while, doctors don’t have a definite answer on what causes them. However, because they often run in families, it would appear that there may be a genetic component to them. A lipoma is also something that doesn’t appear in younger people. Typically, a lipoma doesn’t occur until a person is in their 40s or 50s, and often much older.

Some physicians have noted that a lipoma is more likely to be created after an injury of some sort, but there also are some that do not seem to have been predated by an injury. Sometimes they come about in men with certain medical conditions, such as one known as Madelung’s disease.

Since a lipoma is usually harmless, doctors often don’t recommend treatment, unless a person feels that it is cosmetically necessary. However, if lipomas appear as penis bumps, they could impede sexual performance. Treatment generally consists of surgical removal or of liposuction. In the former, the lump would be cut out and removed; in the latter, a needle and syringe would be used to draw the fat out of the lump. In some cases, a doctor may try to use steroids instead, which may be able to shrink the lipoma.

Penis bumps from a lipoma can be an annoyance and may make a man aware of the importance of maintaining superior penis health via daily use of a first-class penis health oil (health professionals recommend Man 1 Man Oil, which is clinically proven mild and safe for skin). Take care in selecting an oil and choose one that contains a wide range of vitamins, such as A, B5, C, D, and E. In addition, the better oils will also contain L-arginine, an amino acid that helps the body produce nitric oxide, which in turns helps maintain the health of penile blood vessels.

Talk Dirty to Me: Masturbation and Audio Porn

A sneak peek into the browser history of most men will confirm a well-known supposition: that sexually most men are very visually inclined, hence the frequent and lengthy visits to various adult video sites. Many men supplement (or sometimes supersede) their imaginations with pornographic videos during their masturbation routines, just as in years past, pornographic magazines were a visual aid for the masturbation habits of men from those generations. (One could go back to ancient Greek and Egyptian pornographic art or perhaps even caveman drawings to continue this visual fixation men have with sex.) And since masturbation, in proper degree, is a benefit to penis health, why not use a little visual stimulus? However, for the guy who may be ready to try something different, he may want to work on stimulating another sense via the use of audio porn.

Tantalize the ears

Many sex experts recommend that men (and women) should explore using underutilized senses in their sexual activities, and that includes hearing. One of the benefits of audio porn is that it not only involves the ears and stimulates the penis but also involves and stimulates the mind and the imagination. As a man listens to a recording of audio porn, his mind creates an image to go along with what he is hearing, whether it is an intricate tale involving, say, a man, a woman, a desert island, and a bunch of coconuts, or just a series of short gasps and long moans.

A guy can find audio porn at numerous online sites, including many that specialize in allowing people to upload audio recordings of all kinds. Often all it takes is performing a search for keywords like "audio" and then whatever interests a man has - "sex," "gay," "masturbation," "oral sex," et cetera.

Variety

There are any number of audio porn options available for a man’s personal masturbation needs. A quick sampling indicates these options, for example:

- Oral description. A woman with a slightly breathy, sensual voice goes step by step through an oral sex encounter, from the time she makes contact with a man in the bar through her interests in the large bulge in his pants to her kneeling in front of him in the parking lot and her enjoyment of the taste of his semen.

- A happy nurse. A somewhat throaty but enticing female voice narrates her willingness to risk being fired from her job as a nurse as she provides a "You are there" description of how the male listener took her to flights of ecstasy in the emergency room.

- Steady ejaculation. One of many sex-related hypnosis tracks, a male hypnotist puts the listener "under," then implants in him a suggestion that any time he is home alone, his penis will slowly but steadily drip pre-ejaculation fluid until such time as he masturbates.

- Vocalese. A high-pitched, yet never shrill, woman’s voice breathes heavily, gasps, and moans in imitation of a prolonged orgasmic reaction.

Unless a man lives completely alone, or has partners or roommates with whom he is quite open about his enjoyment of masturbation (an ideal, if not always common, situation), he should be careful about playing the tracks too loudly. He may opt instead to use headphones or earbuds, but then needs to be aware that he may not hear other people approaching him.

Audio porn can be a boon to masturbation, as can regularly using a superior penis health oil (health professionals recommend Man 1 Man Oil, which is clinically proven mild and safe for skin). For guys who masturbate their penis raw, an oil with moisturizing agents like shea butter and vitamin E can be especially soothing. Ideally, the oil should also include alpha lipoic acid, a potent antioxidant that helps maintain penis health by fighting oxidative stress.

Kidney Disease Can Cause an Itchy Penis

Kidney disease is a serious issue with many potential consequences. It is not typically considered in the context of penis health issues, but in fact kidney disease can in many instances impact penis health. For example, any men with kidney disease may also find that it can dampen their sex drive and/or cause or contribute to erectile dysfunction. In comparison, the fact that kidney disease can be responsible for an itchy penis may seem of lesser consequence - but an itchy penis can be an annoyance, indeed.

More about kidney disease

The NIDDK (National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases) estimates that more than 30 million American adults have chronic kidney disease (although not all have been diagnosed with it yet). Normally, healthy working kidneys take the blood in the body and filter out wastes and excess fluid, which they then send out of the body as urine. But when a person has kidney disease, the kidneys can’t function appropriately, and so wastes, fluids, and electrolytes build up in the blood, to dangerous levels.

What brings about kidney disease? There can be many causes. Diabetes and/or high blood pressure are two of the most common. (Twenty-three million Americans have been diagnosed with diabetes; more than 65 million American adults have high blood pressure.) There are various other kidney and/or urinary conditions that can also contribute to the development of kidney disease. And heart disease is also a major factor in many people who then develop kidney disease.

In addition, people with a family history of kidney disease stand a greater chance of developing it themselves.

Often, kidney disease progresses slowly, and a person may not experience symptoms until the condition is fairly well progressed. Having kidneys checked regularly can help to discover a case earlier in its progress.

When symptoms do appear, there can be many of them - and, of course, a person may have only a few of these symptoms. The symptoms include chest pain, fatigue, nausea/vomiting, sleep issues, shortness of breath, weight loss, headaches, increased (or sometimes decreased) urination - and dry skin and itchiness.

Itchy penis

That last symptom explains why an itchy penis may come about due to kidney disease. As the kidneys lose their effectiveness, the skin around the penis (or anywhere else on the body) can become dry and itchy. More than 25 percent of people with kidney disease complain of itchy skin, often to the point that it can inhibit and interfere with their ability to sleep. Exactly how many men experience an itchy penis specifically is not noted, but it is assumed to be significant.

Because kidney disease is also associated with increased urination, a man may feel especially self-conscious about getting caught scratching an itchy penis, as it may be assumed by some that he is experiencing a need to urinate. A well-meaning nurse or friend may suggest that he visit the bathroom, when in fact he is responding to a need to scratch, not a need to urinate.

An itchy penis can be embarrassing all on its own, as men feel understandably self-conscious about scratching their penis in public (despite the fact that every many has an itchy penis at some time or another).

Kidney disease presents many challenges, of which an itchy penis is a minor one. Regular use of a first-rate penis health oil (health professionals recommend Man 1 Man Oil, which is clinically proven mild and safe for skin) can help to alleviate some of the itchiness in some cases. This is especially true if the selected oil contains a combination of a high-end emollient (such as shea butter) and a natural hydrator (such as vitamin E) to deliver significant moisturizing capability. In addition, the oil should contain a potent antioxidant, such as alpha lipoic acid, in order to prevent skin damage caused by free radicals.

Lack of Vitamin A Can Mean Dry Penis Skin

One aspect of maintaining good penis health is taking care of the delicate skin that covers the penis. When that skin is healthy, the penis has an appealing, attractive look that potential partners greatly appreciate. But when, say, there is dry penis skin, it can be a major turn-off to a bed mate, who wants a penis to look its best before getting more intimately acquainted with it. Dry penis skin can come about for many reasons. For example, sometimes a vitamin A deficiency may be the cause or a contributing factor to dry penis skin.

Yes, vitamin A

Everyone knows that vitamins are important for their health, but not everyone knows a great deal about most individual vitamins (other than that, say, vitamin C may be good for fighting colds, for example). And vitamin A may be one of the vitamins about which the average person knows very little. So let’s take a look at this important vitamin.

Vitamin A comes in 2 forms, preformed and provitamin. The former is found mostly in animal-derived food, like liver, dairy products, and fish. As might be surmised, therefore, the latter is primarily derived from plant-based sources (fruits and vegetables). Whichever kind a person gets, when it enters the body it makes its way to the liver, where it is stored until the body is ready to use it.

And what does the body use vitamin A for? Actually, quite a few things, including helping cells to grow, strengthening the immune system, aiding fetal development, improving vision health - and maintaining the health of the skin, as well.

Dry penis skin

Although vitamin A does not target dry penis skin specifically, its use in overall skin health makes it ideal for keeping the penis skin looking good and maintaining a fine degree of health. Both the dermis and the epidermis (two of the layers of skin) seek out vitamin A and drag it in. When the skin is not able to find enough vitamin A, it can cause a protein called keratin to run a little wild. With too much keratin, the skin dries and thickens, causing not only dry penis skin but also rough skin and sometimes the appearance of penis bumps. In some cases, it may take on a scaly appearance similar to that associated with eczema, none of which makes for a good-looking penis.

Source of vitamin A

So if lack of vitamin A is leading to a dry penis skin condition, it behooves a man to increase his vitamin A intake. One way to do this is by eating more foods that are rich in vitamin A. These include:

- Dairy products, such as milk, cream, eggs, and cheese

- Fish products, such as cod, tuna, halibut, and fish oil

- Organ meats, such as liver and kidneys

- Green leafy vegetables, such as kale, spinach, and collard greens

- Foods with beta-carotene, such as carrots, apricots, sweet potatoes, squashes, pumpkins, mangoes, and peaches

Men can also help to add vitamin A to their bodies by taking vitamin supplements. Of course, whenever contemplating changing a diet or adding supplements, it pays to consult with a doctor in advance.

Preventing dry penis skin by maintaining healthy levels of vitamin A may be easier if a man daily applies a top-drawer penis health oil (health professionals recommend Man 1 Man Oil, which is clinically proven mild and safe for skin). In order to be effective, the oil must of course contain vitamin A. As a bonus, vitamin A has the added benefit of helping to fight unwanted and persistent penis odor. Be sure that the chosen oil also contains adequate and appropriate moisturizing agents, such as shea butter and vitamin E.

Fighting Erectile Dysfunction: Healthy Teeth Equal a Healthy Penis

Bad breath in the bedroom may not be your only problem if you have gum disease; your dick may fail you too. Studies show that men in their 30s are 3 times more likely to have difficulty getting erections if they have gum disease. How could they possibly be related? When a man gets that sexual feeling, his healthy blood vessels naturally expand to increase blood flow throughout the body, a process known as vasodilation. However, when blood vessels are degraded by dirty mouths, it reduces dilation, blood flow decreases, and erections get weaker. Grab your floss and let’s talk about gum disease, how it affects boners, and how to make sure you have a healthy mouth and a healthy penis.

What Is Gum Disease?

Gum disease, also known as periodontitis, is a common, preventable disease since it is usually caused by lax oral hygiene. It can lead to tooth loss, heart disease, and lung disease. Periodontitis presents as red, swollen, tender gums that can sometimes bleed. Gum disease is treated by professionally cleaning the pockets around the teeth to prevent damage to the surrounding bone. Sometimes surgery is necessary in extreme cases.

How Do Gum Disease and a Healthy Penis Correlate?

Okay, so you are probably thinking, "How could my gums affect my boner?" It seems like a stretch or an extra-scary ploy to get men to floss more; however, it’s a significant risk factor for erectile dysfunction. It all comes down to blood vessels.

Gum disease causes inflammation, but not just in the mouth, in the whole body. That inflammation has been shown to lead to the death of blood vessel cells in the penis in the same way that it does in the mouth. To have a strong, reliable erection, blood vessels don't have to just live, they have to be healthy and open to accept the burst of blood flow that causes an erection. Gum disease is also closely linked to heart disease, which, of course, also can cause a man to have a less than healthy penis.

How to Prevent Gum Disease for a Healthy Penis

How can a man prevent gum disease? It’s pretty simple, really. Keep your biannual appointments at the dentist for regular professional cleanings. As for daily maintenance, experts say to brush for 2 minutes at least twice each day. Be sure to use a toothpaste with fluoride and rinse the mouth well. Finally, floss at least once per day. A lot of people do not floss correctly, so ask your dentist or hygienist how to do it effectively if you’re not sure how. Using a water pik, electronic toothbrushes, and medicated rinses, like chlorhexidine, can also up the ante when it comes to gum health.

Other Tips for Getting a Healthy Penis

Taking care of your teeth is just one way to get a healthy penis. A healthy body in general helps prevent erectile dysfunction and promotes penis health. Here are 5 musts for a healthy penis:

- Engage in physical exercise daily to get the blood flowing.

- Eat a healthy diet of fruits, vegetables, and protein sources—be they meat or vegetarian/vegan options—healthy carbs, fiber, and plenty of fresh water.

- Get 7 to 8 hours of sleep every night. Men have between 3 and 4 erections each night while sleeping, and they are crucial for a healthy penis.

- Stay on point with your penis hygiene. Wash thoroughly with a mild cleanser, rinse well, and pat or air dry daily, or more often if working out or enjoying some intimacy.

- In addition to getting your penis-promoting nutrients via a healthy diet, infuse some more of that wholesome natural supplementation with a specially formulated penis health oil (health professionals recommend Man 1 Man Oil, which has been clinically proven mild and safe for skin) daily. It incorporates vitamin C and L-arginine, which are blood flow boosters that help produce strong, vigorous erections. It’s a key step every man should integrate into his daily self-care regimen.

Penis Pain: Does It Mean Testicular Cancer?

When a man suffers from penis pain, his worst fears start to dance around in the back of his mind. Even if he knows, deep down, that nothing is seriously wrong, he will begin to worry about what might eventually happen. And for most guys, that includes worries about testicular cancer.

It is very important to check for testicular cancer on a regular basis. It can be a virtually silent problem, one that causes no penis pain at all until it is in advanced stages. That’s why men should always take the time, at least once a month, to examine themselves properly to ensure that there are no problems or changes in their little fellows. In addition, a guy should have an exam done with a board-certified urologist at least once a year to help ensure that he’s not missing anything.

Doing a self-check is pretty easy. A man simply has to manipulate his testicles, feeling them thoroughly, and learn about the certain "landmarks" that are supposed to be there versus something that feels different. The more familiar he is with his testicles, the more likely he will be to spot a problem as soon as it starts.

What to Know About Testicular Cancer

When a guy is feeling his boys, he needs to know what to look for. Here are some points to keep in mind when it’s time to check.

- A healthy testicle will have some bumps. That’s because of the tiny tube between the testicles and the penis that carries sperm out during ejaculation. It might feel like a marble or a pea, or even a lump of about an inch or so. The key is making sure the same bump (or similar bump) is on both sides.

- There might be some slight pain. It’s important to remember that the testicles are very sensitive, especially when they are being manipulated. Keep in mind that this might be uncomfortable, especially if a guy is really feeling around with intent, but it should not cause penis pain.

- The testicles should feel soft. Though it should be easy to grasp and manipulate each testicle, they should feel soft to the touch. A guy should be able to squeeze them and feel some "give" to the tissue. If they feel hard and solid, that’s cause for concern. It’s also cause for concern if they feel a bit heavier than usual, such as if they were filled with fluid.

- Testicle size should stay roughly the same. There’s a myth about testicles that say they can change size from month to month. Though there might occasionally be some small changes if a man has had vigorous sexual activity or has sustained some sort of injury, the testicles should usually be about the same size each time a man does the exam.

- Testicles should hang unevenly. The testicles move around in the scrotum. This allows them to move into certain positions to maintain a proper temperature. So it’s not unusual that one of them hangs lower than the other at any given moment. However, if one is hanging much lower than usual and causing penis pain, it’s time to see the doctor.

- Check out the penis, too. When manipulating the balls, make sure the penis is also included. It’s important to look for issues that might occur with the penis while testing the testicles, such as discharge from the tip of the penis, any sort of penis pain, or redness or swelling. These might indicate a problem that a guy couldn’t feel during the testicular exam.

- Stop worrying. It’s important to remember that testicular cancer happens to a very small number of men, and that most conditions that might seem to be cancer are actually not. The more a man worries about it, the more fixated on bad outcomes he can get.

Take Care of the Penis

As part of good self-care, a man should reach for a high-quality penis health oil (health professionals recommend Man 1 Man Oil, which has been clinically proven mild and safe for skin). Find an oil that includes vitamins A, B5, C, D, and E, as well as good amino acids that will help smooth, ease, and heal the skin.

Creating the Handsome Penis Every Man Deserves

Every man wants to enjoy a handsome penis. But in order to achieve that, a man must first strive to simply have a healthy penis. Creating a handsome penis is a combination of dealing with the outside of the body as well as the inside, and doing all the right things to stay as healthy as possible. Here’s what a man needs to know about inside-out penis care.

1) Eat a healthy diet. It’s been said over and over, but it’s said so often for a reason: You are what you eat. What you put into your body directly affects every system of it, including the reproductive system and the skin - both of which matter when it comes to penis health. Good penis care should always include keeping a close eye on what’s on the plate, as this affects a man’s energy, his mental and emotional state, his physical health, and of course, his ability to perform for an eager partner. But what should a man be looking for in a healthy diet? It’s good to cut out fast foods, unhealthy fats, and salt, while replacing those things with a balanced diet that includes plenty of vegetables, lean meats, and whole fruits.

2) Exercise on a regular basis. Exercise gets the blood pumping, and that matters when it comes to cardiovascular health - as well as penis health. Good penis care includes making sure the blood flow to the penis is strong, to allow for the best possible function. Hitting the gym a few times a week, taking a long walk after dinner, or even choosing the stairs rather than an elevator can help ensure that a man is getting in all the steps he needs to keep his heart pumping away as it should.

3) Stop smoking. Tobacco products can be very detrimental to the body, as the smoke creates damage to the heart, lungs, nerves, and everything in between. It can even have a serious effect on the skin, leading to wrinkles, premature aging, thinning, and more. These issues do not lead to a handsome penis! Besides that, smoking reduces a man’s stamina, and everyone knows that’s not a good thing when he’s got a willing partner waiting for him to jump in and play.

4) Watch out for UV rays. Interesting fact: Clothing doesn’t necessarily block all UV rays. Some still get through. That’s why it’s important to apply sunscreen when on the beach, even if that handsome penis is completely covered up. And of course if a man chooses to be more natural and let it all hang out, he will definitely need a high SPF sunscreen to use down there, as the last thing a handsome penis needs is a wicked sunburn!

5) Drink like crazy. No, not alcohol - water! A man should stay hydrated throughout the day for a multitude of reasons, including his overall physical health. Remember, our bodies are made up of mostly water. When there isn’t enough water going in, cells have trouble performing their essential functions. The result can be a sluggish, slow feeling as the body struggles to keep up. When it comes to penis care, remember that a handsome penis relies on the skin to be supple, soft, and hydrated. A man only gets that with some serious water intake.

6) Use a good penis health oil. A man can apply some of that hydration and good vitamins directly to the penis skin through the use of a top-quality penis health oil ( health professionals recommend Man 1 Man Oil, which has been clinically proven mild and safe for skin ). He should look for an oil that promotes blood flow through ingredients like vitamin C and alpha lipoic acid, as well as one that promotes a handsome penis through proper skin hydration, with ingredients like shea butter and vitamin E.

Penis Skin 101: Understanding Eczema

Eczema is a very common skin condition, affecting everyone from infants to the elderly. It results in dry, itchy skin and is often accompanied by a thick rash that makes the skin look and feel bumpy and rough. A man might be perfectly healthy otherwise, but a bit of eczema can leave him with an itchy, red penis that causes some serious discomfort.

It’s important to understand what eczema is in order to understand how to fight it. Let’s dive into a lesson on dry, itchy penis skin.

More About Eczema

Eczema is a bit of a mystery, even to those who develop it. It is a superficial skin condition that causes redness, inflammation, itching, and a telltale rash. It often begins in childhood but doesn’t resolve when someone becomes an adult. Eczema might be inherited, or it might be the result of an allergen of some kind; it depends on the person. Usually eczema occurs on one part of the body, such as the hands or face, but it might also occur on the penis.

No matter where the eczema strikes, the effect is the same. On the penis, symptoms might include a red penis, itchy penis skin, a rash that feels rough to the touch, and even small pustules or pimples that might open up and scab over. Leathery skin is a problem with eczema, and the itching can be bad enough that a man has to reach for prescription treatments to alleviate it. For some, extended issues with eczema can also affect the pigment in the skin, leading to penis discoloration.
As mentioned, every man is different and what causes his eczema varies. However, there are some triggers that might push a guy’s skin to be more prone to an eczema flare. Here are the things that commonly cause the problem:

1) Dust mites or pollen
2) Viruses or bacteria
3) Certain foods, especially eggs, dairy, soy, and wheat products
4) Soaps, detergents, fragrances
5) The use of certain cleaners and disinfectants
6) Hot weather - or very cold weather
7) Sweating during and after exercise
To determine what is causing the red penis as a result of eczema, a doctor can do a skin patch test. This might help figure out a few of the triggers.

How to Treat the Red Penis Skin

The itching associated with eczema can often be handled with a cortisone cream. However, cortisone cream can cause problems for penis skin, leading to irritation and dry skin, thinning of the skin, and even stretch marks. But many doctors will prescribe this prescription cream for short periods of time to help knock out the worst of the eczema outbreak. Other things men can do at home to help alleviate the red penis include:

1) Never scratching the area
2) Never using cleansers with fragrance or similar ingredients
3) Using oatmeal baths to alleviate the itching
4) Wearing only cotton clothing that can "breathe" as necessary
5) Gentle cleansing to keep the area clean and patting the skin dry
6) Abstaining from sexual contact during the eczema flareup

A man can also turn to the regular use of a high-quality penis health oil (health professionals recommend Man 1 Man Oil, which has been clinically proven mild and safe for skin). Though all the top-quality ingredients matter, such as vitamin A, B5, C, and D, the real powerhouses in this situation are the 2 synergistic ingredients for softness: shea butter and vitamin E. Both ingredients are well-known for their healing properties, and that’s exactly what red penis skin needs when eczema comes calling. Apply at least once a day, especially after the use of cortisone cream, to help ensure proper coverage.

Penis Function and Alcohol: Not a Good Combination

Who doesn’t enjoy knocking back a cold one? For many guys this is a ritual for weekends with the buddies, and it can certainly get a bit out of hand on holidays and celebrations. And many a man has faced the consequences of having too much to drink, then trying to get things going with a lovely partner, only to discover that penis function is decidedly affected by his alcohol intake. But just how bad can that penis function issue be?

Alcohol and Penis Function

Everyone knows the feeling of having one too many and just wanting to romp with a partner. The alcohol lowers inhibitions and makes a man want to do things he normally wouldn’t - which is why so many men might wake up the next morning with some regrets! But no matter how hot a man is feeling after having a few, he might be disappointed to see that his penis won’t respond at all to any sexual fun. This lack of penis function can be quite embarrassing, especially if he was hoping to impress a new partner.

But why does this happen? It’s because of how alcohol acts in the body. It can dull or shut down several systems in the body - for instance, before medical advancements, a hefty dose of alcohol was used for pain relief when a man had an injury. It dulled the nerves and helped ease the pain by affecting the central nervous system.

But the nervous system isn’t the only area affected. When a man is trying to get it up but he’s under the influence of copious amounts of alcohol, the physiological responses of his body can make it impossible for him to respond as he should.

Alcohol and Libido

Often, a man will have a few drinks and be raring to go. But at other times, men might be ready to simply take a nap. This can also be a matter of the mind is willing, but the body is lacking. He might think he wants to get it on, but his body says otherwise, and that can lead to a decreased drive over time.

On the other hand, as inhibitions drop and libido goes up, some men might make very poor decisions. A guy who has awakened after a night of debauchery not remembering what he did the night before can testify to this! That’s especially true if the person in bed with him, one that he was obviously intimate with, is a complete stranger. To avoid issues like this, it’s always best for a guy to reconsider that last shot or beer.

Alcohol and Penis Health

Penis health can suffer when the body is subjected to anything that causes a problem for it, such as smoking, eating too many fatty foods, or drinking to excess. Drinking too much alcohol can damage the circulatory system, which can lead to problems with penis function. It can also lead to problems with the tissue in the penis, especially over a long period of time, and can actually wind up shortening a man’s favorite tool. This is something a man definitely wants to avoid!

Avoiding Penis Function Problems

So how can a guy have a good time but still preserve his penis function so he can enjoy it when the time is right? There are some ways to do this:

- Set the ground rules. A guy will quickly learn how much alcohol he can handle. If he starts to feel problems with penis function after a fourth drink, then he should set a rule to have only three drinks that night.

- Figure out the alcohol situation. For some guys, having beer all night won’t affect their penis function. For others, beer is a killer for the libido. And still others can’t handle hard liquor, while some guys find it enhances their sexual fun. A guy can figure out which types of alcohol he can handle and stick with those.

- Stay hydrated. Drink plenty of water in between each alcoholic beverage, which will both help with penis function and with filling a guy up a bit, so he won’t drink as much.

Maintaining Good Penis Function

Even in the face of alcohol, a man should still pay close attention to the health of his penis. That includes the use of a good penis health creme (health professionals recommend Man 1 Man Oil, which has been clinically proven safe and mild for skin) . He should look for a creme that contains Shea butter and vitamin E for soft and supple skin, as well as alpha lipoic acid and vitamin C to help with blood flow.

What is Wearable Viagra and Can it Help Erectile Dysfunction?

Wearable Viagra? Well, kind of. No, you don’t make a bracelet of little blue pills and string it around your junk. Wearable Viagra refers to a super-enhanced cock ring that makes even the most visibly limp penis live large. However, does it really work? Let's investigate the claims about this new product for men suffering from erectile dysfunction.

What is Erectile Dysfunction?

There are 3 million cases of erectile dysfunction every year, making it a quite common penis issue for men. Erectile Dysfunction, or ED, happens when a man can’t produce or maintain an erection for the duration of sexual intercourse. Interestingly, ED has roots in both the physical and psychological realms. Occasional inability to produce an erection is not ED. A man needs to experience a lack of ability to rise about 25 percent of the time to be classified as having ED.

What's the Diggity on Eddie by Giddy?

The Eddie is an omega-shaped, FDA Registered Class II Medical Devise which is worn around the base of the penis to stop blood from leaving the penis and is most commonly referred to as a cock ring. The Eddie is unique in that it applies pressure to the deep dorsal vein without putting unnecessary pressure on the arteries or urethra. Why is this important? Too much constriction on the urethra can cause pain when ejaculating, and the Eddie conversely allows a more relaxed, uninhibited climax.

Its unique horseshoe shape gives a more comfortable feel and corresponds to the more oval shape of the penis that other rings do not. It also has various, removable tension bands that give it a more bespoke fit that amends the ring to the man, not vice versa.

Eddie also comes with an online education program called the "ED Guide," which helps men navigate the mental and emotional aspects of ED as well, making it a more "whole life" approach rather than just a sexual aide. Information given in the guide comes from a panel of respected professionals.

Does the Eddie by Giddy Work?

It could, it just depends on the man and what is causing his ED. The material the Eddie is made of is pretty rigid, unlink the stretchiness of other rings, potentially making it uncomfortable. It also presumes that all men have oval-shaped penises (they don't, there are actually seven different penis shapes). However, the physical ring itself can be handy for many men who experience ED.
The real winner in all this is the ED Guide. It provides a 30-day erectile dysfunction management routine. It provides wise counsel on how to discuss erectile issues with a partner and how to get through it together.

Other Tips for Improving Erectile Dysfunction

Men have many options when it comes to dealing with ED. First and foremost, men should always address related underlying medical issues, such as diabetes or heart disease, before treating ED. Keeping a healthy weight, eating well, and a regular exercise and sleep routine can all go a long way in treating ED.

Of course, some opt to treat ED with prescription medications. Penis pumps and rings are also used with varying levels of success. The more extreme measure, a penile implant, too has had mixed reviews.

Many men choose to use a more natural tool to improve penis health. By applying a specially formulated penis health creme (health professionals recommend Man 1 Man Oil, which has been clinically proven safe and mild for skin) daily, some men find they have harder, more robust and long-lasting erections. That's due to vitamin C and L-Arginine in the cream that boosts blood flow to the penis.

Penis Function Challenge: Treating Anejaculation

Penis function is a valuable and important subset of penis health and one which, when in the midst of sexual situations, is of primary importance to a man. After all, when with a partner in bed, the last thing a man wants to be concerned about is whether his penis will operate in the manner that is expected. Often, penis function matters revolve around erectile issues or around premature ejaculation, but there can be other penis function concerns - such as anejaculation.

About anejaculation

Because it is not something that occurs commonly, few men are even aware that anejaculation exists. Simply put, anejaculation refers to a situation in which a man is unable to ejaculate semen. This is not the same thing as impotence, as most men with anejaculation have a penis that still responds to stimulation and can become aroused and erect; many men with anejaculation are even able to experience an orgasm. It is simply not accompanied by the traditional expulsion of semen from the penis.

There are several forms of anejaculation.

- When a man has total anejaculation, it means that a man does not ejaculate at all - no matter what he may do, or a partner may do. Total anejaculation is something that may have been an issue for a man his entire life, or it could be something that develops later in life, even though he at one time was able to ejaculate.

- With situational anejaculation, a man finds that there are times when he ejaculates and times when he doesn’t. In some cases, there seem to be clear-cut boundaries that can define when he does or does not. For example, it may be that a man finds it easy (or relatively so) to ejaculate when he masturbates. But when he is engaged in partner sex, he may find that he is incapable of ejaculation. There also are times when defining exactly when a man will experience ejaculation, and when he will not, can be unclear and imprecise.

- If a man has orgasmic anejaculation, it means (as might be supposed) that he does achieve an orgasm having sex, even without the release of any semen.

- And if he is stricken with anorgasmic anejaculation, it likewise means that an orgasm eludes him along with a release of semen.

A man may have a combination of these forms (such as being both situational and anorgasmic, for example).

Treatment

Treating anejaculation is challenging, not least because the causes are poorly understood. Sometimes there is a psychological component, but there also are several other factors that can come into play. These include spinal cord injuries, pelvic injury, reactions to medications, and nervous system disorders. If a doctor is able to pinpoint with fair certainty the cause, then treatment is easier to recommend.

When the cause is known, a doctor can take steps, such as altering medication or treating an underlying disorder. A doctor may also check to see if there is any physical blockage that can be responsible for the lack of semen release. In other cases, vibrational therapy may be employed as a means of encouraging ejaculation. Electro-stimulation may also be tried.

In many cases, it may take some "trial and error" to determine the best course of treatment for an individual patient.

Anejaculation is a difficult penis function issue; as with many such matters, it helps to have an otherwise healthy penis, so men should continue daily use of a superior penis health oil (health professionals recommend Man 1 Man Oil, which is clinically proven mild and safe for skin). It may help to find an oil with L-carnitine, an ingredient with neuroprotective properties that can help maintain proper penis sensitivity. Ideally the oil should also contain vitamin C, a key component of collagen, a tissue in the body that gives skin its tone and elasticity.

Ladies, Up Your Oral Sex Game

Ladies, it’s no secret that men can get especially excited at the prospect of a little oral sex. That’s not because they don’t greatly like, crave and desire regular vaginal intercourse by any means; it’s simply that oral sex is like the occasional special treat dessert. No guy would want to experience only oral sex with the ladies he loves, but when the occasion for some oral entertainment arises, he’s especially gung ho. Assuming he takes care of his penis health, oral sex should present no serious issues for those giving this gift to their men. But they may want to keep in mind ways to make their oral sex even better for their partner.

The basics

Clearly, oral sex is easy to define - it’s any time one partner’s mouth performs sexual maneuvers on another person’s genitals. Where male-oriented oral sex is concerned, this is most often presented in porn culture as involving men standing while ladies kneel in front of them to be of service.

Now there’s nothing wrong with that at all, and no man will complain if every one of his oral sex experiences is performed in that manner. But the fact remains that there are variations on positions for oral sex, and ladies (and their gentlemen) may want to explore these options as well.

- Seated. Kneeling is all very well and good - for a minute or two. But women may find it more comfortable to perform orally if they are seated rather than kneeling. The angle of engulfment may vary slightly from kneeling, but more importantly, if a woman is comfortable, she’ll be more likely to concentrate on the task at hand - and that will make the sex more enjoyable. Alternatively, the male can try sitting down instead. And again, the woman can either kneel as before or take a seat next to her partner. In the latter case, there may be some strain bending from the waist in this manner, so it may pay for the male to sit on some cushions or pillows to raise his waist (and penis) up to a more comfortable position for the woman.

- Lying down. The man lies on his back (preferably on a bed or other soft surface); the woman kneels or lies face down on the bed as well. Depending on the size and shape of the bed, she may lie with her head between his legs or on either side (forming a kind of "T" shape with their bodies.) This is often the most comfortable position for both parties - and comfort is often a big factor in how enjoyable oral sex can be for both participants.

In another variation, the woman lies on her back and the man kneels with his penis near her head. He raises her head so that the woman’s mouth can fellate the penis. Men in this position should resists the temptation to forcefully thrust, unless this has been discussed in advance with their partners.

- Mutual pleasuring. Of course, oral sex can be mutually pleasurable, especially if partners enjoy a "69" position - with one lying face up on the bed, the other on top face down, with the crotch of one by the mouth of the other and vice versa. For those for whom the on top/on bottom situation doesn’t work, they can lie on their sides instead.

As with all things sexual, communication and respect will enhance the oral sex experience no matter what position is employed.

Ladies, oral sex will be more comfortable if a man’s penis health is prime, so encourage partners to daily use a top drawer penis health oil (health professionals recommend Man 1 Man Oil, which is clinically proven mild and safe for skin). Smooth penis skin is desirable, so find an oil that contains both a high end emollient (such as shea butter) and a natural hydrator (like vitamin E). In addition, select an oil with vitamin A, the anti-bacterial properties of which can help diminish unwanted penis odor.

Coronavirus and Sexual Health

By now, there are few if any people in the civilized world who do not know about coronavirus (technically, COVID-19), the pandemic of which is causing major changes throughout the world. At this writing, the story is evolving and changing every day, and there is no way of knowing exactly what path the pandemic will take. What is clear is that coronavirus is a major concern health concern - and that raises the question of whether it presents any sexual health or specifically penis health concerns.

The answer is yes - kind of. At least as far as is known now. (It should be noted that the information presented below is for educational purposes and should not substitute for advice from qualified medical professionals, who should be consulted by anyone with questions about coronavirus.)

Coronavirus

The current coronavirus is known to most effectively be transmitted through infected droplets passing from one person’s mouth or nose to another’s. For example, if a contaminated person sneezes in a second person’s face, there is a fairly significant chance that the second person will become contaminated as well. (It should be pointed out that in both cases - that of the person who does the sneezing and that of the person whose face is sneezed in - it is possibly that neither person may know that they have coronavirus. It is asymptomatic in the majority of cases - but can still be passed on to someone else in whom it may not be asymptomatic.)

It is also thought that coronavirus can be passed on through contact with a surface that has been contaminated. So if a person with the virus spreads the germs to, say, a door handle, a person touching the door handle may pick up the germs; if they then touch their affected hand to their face, they may pass on the virus to themselves in that way. However, this method of transmission is less likely than direct transmission from the mouth or nose to another face.

Sexual health

How does this relate to sexual health? Clearly, if sneezing or coughing can transmit these infected droplets, so can kissing. So couple who engage in kissing in which one partner is infected run a significant risk of both couples becoming infected.

What about other sexual acts? Other versions of coronavirus have not been found to spread significantly sexually; however, it stands to reason that if, say, a woman infected with the coronavirus performed oral sex on a man who then touched his penis and touched his face, that he might very well increase the risk of becoming infected.

Other seemingly more innocent acts that relate to sexual health might also pose some problems. For example, going on a date and sharing food ("You have to try this!") or sipping wine from a date’s glass might also be a possible route of transmission.

Even something like online dating apps should be looked at. How many people thoroughly wipe their phone screens on a consistent basis? Swiping right with an infected finger could potentially create an issue.

The bottom line: if a person thinks they might be infected, it’s best to (1) get tested right away and (2) avoid sexual contact (and other physical contact) until their health status is known. And it’s important that people be wary of possible infected surfaces - so they wash or disinfect their hands frequently and also screens or other objects that they touch frequently.

Coronavirus will hopefully soon be brought under control and not continue to be a sexual health concern. In the meantime, men should continue to apply regularly a superior penis health oil (health professionals recommend Man 1 Man Oil, which is clinically proven mild and safe for skin ). Look for an oil that contains a range of vitamins (A, B5, C, D and E) to maintain good penis health. And also be sure the oil contains alpha lipoic acid, a potent antioxidant that helps prevent damage to delicate skin from free radicals.

Mononucleosis May Cause Penis Rash

It’s known as the kissing disease and thought of as something that mostly happens to teen-agers. But mononucleosis can in fact affect people of any age, creating a fatigue that can be debilitating at times. Indirectly mononucleosis can be a penis health issue because the fatigue which is its hallmark can seriously dampen a man’s enthusiasm for sex. But in some cases, a man with mononucleosis may also develop another penis health concerning, namely a penis rash.

Another name

Sometimes called Epstein-Barr virus (or sometimes Epstein-Barr syndrome), mononucleosis (called mono for short) is caused by a virus. Mononucleosis is popularly known as being transmitted through kissing (because it travels well in saliva), but in fact it can also be transmitted in other ways - from sneezing, coughing, drinking from the same glass as an infected person, or sharing food (or utensils) with a person who has the condition.

So mononucleosis is a virus, but what else should a person know about it? First, most people are exposed to the virus at some time, and the majority don’t know it. This asymptomatic exposure tends to give them an immunity to it. However, about 25% of people exposed to the virus do develop mononucleosis. And again, while the majority of these people are young children, teen-agers or young adults, it is possible for a person of any age to develop infectious mononucleosis.

Symptoms

As noted before, when a person gets mononucleosis, the symptom most commonly associated with it is fatigue - often extreme fatigue. The amount of fatigue can vary greatly from one person to the next (and vary greatly from one time to another in any one person), but often it is extreme and even debilitating, requiring a lot of time spent in bed resting and sleeping.

Beyond fatigue, symptoms typically include aches, sore throat, fever, swollen nodes, swelling in the spleen or liver - and a body rash, which can and often does include a penis rash.

It is rare that the mononucleosis rash would be isolated strictly as a penis rash, and more often it covers large swaths of the body - sometimes the whole upper torso, for example.

Ironically, the rash is not necessarily directly related to mononucleosis - rather, it tends to occur when a person taking penicillin contracts mono. The combination of the two creates the rash, which is generally flat patches small red dots. They sometimes appear as bumps, other times strictly flat; in some cases, they may develop like sores. Often they may itch, which can be quite uncomfortable when it is a penis rash.

Treatment

Mononucleosis often goes away on its own, although it can take several weeks for it to do so. Bed rest is recommended, as is eating a healthy diet and being sure to drink plenty of fluids.

When a rash appears, as stated, it is often in response to use of penicillin - so discontinuing that medication is encouraged. The penis rash (or rash elsewhere on the body) will usually clear up within a few days of cessation of medication. However, the rash may continue to be bothersome during those days, so the skin should be kept properly moist. Sometimes calamine lotion helps decrease the need to scratch. Wearing comfortable clothing that doesn’t irritate the skin is also suggested.

Penis rash from mononucleosis can be an annoyance, so help keep its effects minimized by daily application of a first class penis health oil (health professionals recommend Man 1 Man Oil, which is clinically proven mild and safe for skin). The oil will help keep the skin moisturized if it contains both a high end emollient (such as shea butter) and a natural hydrator (such as vitamin E). The delicate penis skin will also be strengthened if the oil contains a potent antioxidant, such as alpha lipoic acid.

Rubbed Another Way: Alternative Masturbation Techniques

Even the most enjoyable activity can become a little mundane or routine after too long a time with no variation or surprise. No matter how much one enjoys one’s home, it’s nice to take a little vacation to another place just for a change of scene. And likewise, changing the scene where masturbation is concerned can have its benefits. While there are many different techniques a guy can employ, most tend to stick with one tried-and-true one when masturbating. Simply changing up techniques shouldn’t damage one’s penis health (unless, say, boiling oil is involved in the switch-up), so why not consider a little masturbation makeover?

Tried and true

For most men, the favored way to masturbate is to grip the penis in the dominant hand (usually the right), make a fairly tight but not too tight grip and pump up and down - hopefully while using some lubrication to keep from rubbing the penis raw. But there are plenty of different techniques to try to add a little variety.

Some of these techniques are simplicity itself and require only slight adjustments. For example, rather than using the dominant hand, why not wrap the palm of the other hand around the penis and stroke? Or why not alternate, and use one hand for a few strokes and then the other? Or what happens if one puts both hands together, forming one "fist" and masturbates that way?

But, wait - there are more simple variations as well. If a guy tends to pump up and down the whole length of his shaft, perhaps he wants to focus more on one section - such as the head perhaps? Or if he already focuses pretty much on one portion of the penis, go in for a full-shaft pump, or focus on another section?

And if he tends to exert a pretty tight grip on the penis, how about lightly stroking the penis, using just the merest touch of the hand? Or if one really pounds away at great speed, try slowing things down (or vice versa).

More different

Want something a little more different than that? How about not using the bare hands at all? Many guys like experimenting with masturbating while wearing gloves. The difference between the texture of a bare hand and a glove can be quite profound - and gloves come in many different textures (latex, cotton, wool, knit, leather, etc.) Or if gloves are not appealing, how about a silk scarf, a linen napkin or a polyester cloth? A guy can either wrap one of those around his penis or rub it back and forth along the penis.

Also an option: move beyond the penis. Guys tend to really, really focus on the penis (with good reason), but often at the expense of pleasure brought from other erogenous zones. Start with the balls, since they’re hanging around right next to the penis, and explore, squeezing, rubbing, or even gently slapping them while masturbating. The nipples are another common erogenous zone that men tend to shy away from, in spite of the fact that many guys get great pleasure from their stimulation. Similarly, though more and more men are open to the pleasures of a prostate massage, many still feel awkward where anal play is considered - but it can be quite rewarding for those that try it while fondling their penis.

Exploring masturbation techniques work works even better when the continued use of a top notch penis health oil (health professionals recommend Man 1 Man Oil, which is clinically proven mild and safe for skin) mans the penis is in prime health. Because penis sensation can be impeded through rough handling, it pays to select an oil with L-carnitine, which has neuroprotective properties to help maintain proper sensitivity. The oil should also contain arginine, an amino acid which helps production of nitric oxide and therefore helps keep penis blood vessels healthy.

STI Testing Helps Maintain Sexual Health

Uh-oh! What’s that suspicious looking sore on the penis there? Many guys have had a scare or two when inspecting their penis health, wondering if they might have contracted an STI (sexually-transmitted infection) somewhere along the way, especially if they don’t practice safe sex. Maintaining good sexual health is crucial both for a man and for his partner or partners, and those not in strictly monogamous relationships should be getting STI tests on a regular basis.

Who needs an STI test?

This is a subject of some debate, with some people arguing that everyone should have an STI test at least once in their lives (upon reaching the stage of sexual activity). Others maintain that not everyone needs one. In general, however, it is agreed that every person who is sexually active and does not always follow safe sex practices (including sex with a condom) should be tested. The need for testing tends to increase if a person has more than one sex partner, if that person’s partner has sex with other people (and especially if they don’t practice safe sex with those people). Even people who always use a condom may want to be tested at least occasionally, as condoms cannot offer 100% protection.

Men who are in situations in which they are likely to come into contact with partners with HIV should be especially careful. This includes men who have sex with men (whether exclusively or not), as well as men having sex with drug users who may share needles. In addition to using condoms, men in such situations may wish to consider using pre-exposure prophylaxis.

How often should one get an STI test?

This is also a subject of some debate. Men who are at greater risk of contracting an STI are encouraged to be tested every 3 months. Men who are not sexually active on a regular basis may prefer to get tested less often, and some men find better peace of mind if they are tested more frequently. Certainly if a person has symptoms that are consistent with an STI, then they should be tested promptly. As with so many conditions, the more quickly an STI is diagnosed, the more quickly treatment can begin and the more likely the outcome will be positive.

What are the tests like?

For many STIs, a urine and/or blood sample will be collected and tested. If a person displays symptoms of herpes, a swab of the symptomatic area may also be taken. Similarly, if a person displays a sore consistent with those caused by syphilis, a swab of the fluid from the sore will be obtained. Men who engage in receptive anal sex may be asked to submit an anal swab.

Knowing whether one has an STI is terribly important for one’s sexual health. Although it can be difficult, if a man discovers he has an STI, he needs to let his sexual partner(s) know - even if doing so reveals that he has been with partners outside of a supposedly monogamous relationship. (Remember, some STIs, such as gonorrhea, chlamydia, and herpes can be obtained even if one just engaged in oral sex rather than penetrative sex.) If a man suspects he has contracted an STI, he should refrain from engaging in partner sex until he knows for sure; if he does not refrain, he should be sure to use condoms.

An STI test to maintain sexual health should remind a man to keep on improving his overall penis health via daily use of a first-class penis health oil ( health professionals recommend Man 1 Man Oil, which is clinically proven mild and safe for skin ). The best oil is going to contain a wide range of necessary vitamins, such as A, B5, C, D, and E. In addition, that oil needs to have L-arginine, an amino acid that plays a key role in helping to maintain the health of penile blood vessels.

Does Ejaculation Distance Prove a Healthy Penis?

Every man wants a healthy penis. But some men base their idea of a healthy penis on ejaculation - specifically, on how far the liquid can reach as soon as they release. For some men, shooting a few feet is typical. For others, only a few inches is the usual. And for some, there is no "shooting" of an ejaculation. There is only a steady, rhythmic pour from their penis at the moment of pleasure. And even then, there can be variations; for instance, a man who can hit a few feet away might not be able to do that after a night of vigorous lovemaking.

However, some men want to be able to do the "money shot" that they see adult films. There are some ways to improve ejaculation distance - though how much the distance will improve is anyone’s guess. The good news is that none of these techniques will hurt a guy, even if they don’t result in the kind of shot that would make a porn star envious!

- Fire up the Kegels. When a man ejaculates, the bulbospongiosus muscle helps push out the semen. Kegel exercises help keep that muscle strong. To do them, a man should try to stop the flow of urine the next time he goes to the bathroom. That muscle that he moves to stop the flow is the muscle he tightens when performing Kegels. It might take a few tries to figure it out, but once he does, he will understand how it feels to tighten it when he’s not urinating. At that point, he should practice tightening those muscles in repetitions of ten, several times a day. The more the muscles tighten, the more control he will feel he has of his penis, too.

- Stay hydrated. Though it might seem like it isn’t related, the truth is that ejaculation is heavily tied to all-over body hydration. That’s because semen is made of mostly water, and when the body is dehydrated, it stands to reason that it won’t produce nearly as much semen. If a man wants a good money shot, he’s going to want to have as much built up as possible, so drink down glass after glass and stay hydrated!

- Edge like crazy. When a man wants to improve his ejaculation distance, he can try edging. This is the practice of masturbation or sexual activity to a point of getting close to release, but not going over the edge. When he feels as though he’s close, he should back off and let the feeling go away a bit. Doing this for a half hour or more can give him more bang for his buck when the ejaculation happens.

- Change things up. While a guy might think he’s hit the longest shot he can, he might be wrong - he might be using the same techniques and getting the same results. So shake things up by varying the grip, the position, the angle, even whether he’s standing or sitting, and see what happens. One position might go much further than another, so to speak.

- Wait before ejaculation. Though a guy might want to do it every day, he should wait two or three days to allow the semen to build up a bit. This might mean a more intense release, which can mean a more intense volume, which can lead to better distance.

Maintaining a Healthy Penis

When a man is looking to further his ejaculation distance, he should also be looking at what keeps his penis healthy and strong. Using a top-notch penis health creme (health professionals recommend Man 1 Man Oil, which has been clinically proven safe and mild for skin) can help ensure that. He should look for a crème that contains Shea butter for healing sore skin, L-arginine for boosting nitric oxide and blood flow, and vitamin E for keeping skin supple, as well as vitamin C for the health of the vessels.

Penis Ponderings: How Many Times Can a Man Ejaculate in 24 Hours?

Every man has been there at some point. The guys are sitting around, enjoying some brews when their inner 13-year-old comes out and asks, "How many times has everyone ejaculated in 24 hours?" Of course, a few will be humbly honest and say maybe two or three times, and then there are the others who will act like it is an Olympic competition and casually say, "Oh, seven or eight times, but I slept for like 10 hours that day and was at work too," implying that had they had a free day, they’d be in the double digits. Of course, teenage numbers are definitely different because as a man ages, things below belt slow down. Looking at the mechanics of ejaculation, how many times an average, adult male can ejaculate in one day.

The Mechanics of Erection and Ejaculation

It all begins with a stimulating thought, a beautiful vision of someone walking down the street, a bit of friction, a lover’s touch, or for some men, a stiff breeze will do. The brain then sends a signal to the hormones which tells the arteries of the penis to open so blood can flood the penis. The blood moves into the penis faster than it leaves it, so it gets "caught" in the arteries, resulting in an erection. The penis is then excited to the point of no-going-back (pretty sure men know how that part works) and the walls of the epididymis contract to create peristaltic waves that push sperm to a place in the penis called vas deferens. The nerves then stimulate the seminal vessels and the prostate with forces semen into the urethra. Muscles of the penis then ejaculate the seed, the muscles in the bladder tighten up to make sure the semen doesn’t go back into the penis. A man then goes into the refractory period, where his penis becomes flaccid as the signals from the brain go neutral and the endocrine system releases prolactin, which decreases testosterone, thus bringing the erection to a close.
So many steps, right?

So, How Many Times Can a Man Physically Climax in a Day?

How many times a day a man can get his "O Face" on solely depends on this refractory period. For some men, they are ready to go for round two in a few minutes. For other men, it can be hours. Research shows that men in the younger age group, think 18 - 25, have a refractory period of about 15 minutes, hence why it is called a man’s "prime." Now the 70’s scene is more like 20 hours on average. All in, every age group considered, the average is in the neighborhood of 30 minutes.
Let’s do the math: if a man can ejaculate twice an hour, and there are 24 hours in a day, scientifically speaking, he could climax 48 times.

However, there is no way a man would want to. He would be sore, chaffed, inflamed, and miserable. There’s a point it won’t be pleasurable at all. Also, orgasming can happen without ejaculation and if no semen comes out (it will lessen with each go), it’s not technically ejaculation.

Penis Care Post-Ejaculation

With all this talk about ejaculation, it’s prudent to mention penis health and care. Face it, ejaculation is a nearly everyday occurrence for most men, so let’s talk about what to do after. Of course, clean up by washing the penis with warm water and a mild cleanser. Be thorough, but gentle. Rinse well, being sure to get in all the creases and folds. Air dry, or if in a hurry, pat dry with a soft, fluffy towel.
Finish off this good grooming regimen with a specially formulated penis health creme (health professionals recommend Man 1 Man Oil, which has been clinically proven safe and mild for skin) daily. It includes vitamin C and L-Arginine to boost erections, as well as vitamins A, B, D, E and antioxidants in a nurturing Shea butter base. It’s a fundamental step every man should incorporate into his daily self-care regimen.

Penis Skin and Cortisone: A Tricky Combination

When someone has itchy skin, they often reach for cortisone cream. This topical cream can work wonders for temporary itching, and so many men who have an itchy penis will reach for it before they try other things. That can be a problem, as cortisone creams can be bad for penis skin.
When a man has a rash, redness, or itchy penis symptoms, he needs to remember that the penis skin is very sensitive and thin. This means that what he can handle on, say, his arm or his leg, will have a different effect when it’s on his penis. Using this cream often can result in shiny penis skin that looks waxy and thin. However, there are ways to use cortisone cream without truly damaging the skin, especially if it is used only occasionally.

Understanding Cortisone

Cortisone is a topical cream, meant to be used on the skin. It’s actually a very low dose of steroids, meant to calm the skin and heal small issues, such as a minor rash. But the biggest use of cortisone cream is to relieve itching, especially from allergic conditions. Many people have put a dose of cortisone cream on poison ivy and similar rashes, as well as mosquito bites and other itchy bites from bugs. They use it for eczema, some forms of psoriasis, and contact dermatitis of all types. The cortisone stops the allergic reaction, thus bringing near-instant relief from the itching. It lasts for anywhere from a few minutes to a few hours, depending upon the severity of the itch.

Side Effects from Cortisone

In most cases, there are no side effects from the occasional use of cortisone cream. However, those who use excessive amounts of the cream might notice redness and irritation of the skin, or a lightening of the area in which they rubbed the cream. This lightening effect is especially true in those who have darker skin. The skin might also thin, thus making it easier to tear and abrade. As the skin begins to thin, a burning sensation might occur when adding more cream. Putting a dressing over the area can exacerbate the burning sensation.

How to Use Cortisone on the Penis Skin

It’s important to remember that penis skin is thin to begin with, and it’s very sensitive. So any use of cortisone cream should be very carefully considered. When a man does choose to use cortisone cream for an itchy penis, he should do these things:

- Check with the doc. There might be an underlying cause for the itching that can be cleared up easily with some other, more penis-friendly medication. Some reasons for a rash or itching might not respond to cortisone cream, so it’s also good to know this before a guy starts using something that could affect his penis skin.
- Check the dose. Always apply as little as possible to heal the itch. Start with half a dose as recommended on the tube, then go up from there.
- Never use on irritated skin. If there are any breaks, cuts, scrapes, or abrasions on the skin, don’t use cortisone cream on it. That allows the cream to get underneath the skin, which can then lead to a serious burning sensation, and might lead to other problems as well.
- Use it for a short period of time. If the itchy penis persists for more than a week, go see a doctor. The cortisone might be working when applied, but there is an underlying cause that must be treated - a guy can’t use cortisone forever!
- Use it when unclothed. A man will want to use the cream during a time when he can let the equipment hang free, as the area needs to breathe. Remember, covering the area can cause all sorts of unwanted side effects.
- Stop scratching. A man’s nails can cause breaks in the skin that lead to infection. If the cortisone is not working, don’t continue scratching at the problem. Get to the doctor as soon as possible and explain that cortisone hasn’t helped.
- Use a moisturizer. Whether using it in conjunction with the cortisone cream or after the use of it, a moisturizer can help ensure the penis skin stays pliable and soft, regardless of the use of the steroids.

Taking Care of Penis Skin

When a guy is using cortisone cream, he should also be using a top-quality penis health creme (health professionals recommend Man 1 Man Oil, which has been clinically proven safe and mild for skin) . This crème will help protect the penis skin through a combination of wonder ingredients designed to soothe and moisturize.

Watery Semen Could Indicate a Penis Health Issue

So often when a man is discussing penis health matters, he is focusing on the organ itself. What can be done about the odor? Should it have a curve like that? Is that rash anything to worry about? But penis health also extends to matters beyond the organ itself, so that (for example) an infection in the kidneys would be part of penis health. By the same token, matters that relate to semen are definitely penis health issues. And one question that often arises is why a man’s semen may be somewhat watery.

About semen

All guys know that semen is the milky liquid that erupts from the penis when it has been sufficiently stimulated. But frequently guys know little more than that. For example, men often use the words semen and sperm interchangeably, but they are not the same thing. Sperm are the male reproductive cells that fertilize a woman’s eggs. Sperm are a part of a man’s semen, but semen also includes a mixture of fluids and other ingredients. There are proteins found in semen, as well as a high percentage of fructose sugars, which tend to account for the jelly-like texture of semen. The main purpose of semen is to be the vehicle that transports sperm from the male to the female.

While semen typically is rather thick, sometimes it may be somewhat watery. When this happens, a man may wonder why this is happening and if this is a penis health issue he needs to do something about.

Why is it watery?

There can be several reasons why a man’s semen might become watery. These include:

- Not enough zinc. The Journal of Reproduction and Infertility identifies zinc as a major component in sperm production and semen quality. The body doesn’t produce zinc on its own, so most people need to get zinc from the food that they eat. (Zinc is also important for other bodily functions and issues.) Among the foods that are highest in zinc are oysters, dairy products, beans, shellfish, hemp seeds, pumpkin seeds, pine nuts, almonds, and whole grains.

- "Too much" masturbation. No, masturbation is not unhealthy - but when a guy ejaculates frequently, it may have an impact on the consistency of his semen. (And the same goes for having sex frequently - any activity or combination of activities that results in frequent ejaculations runs the risk of making the semen become watery.)

- Alcohol and/or tobacco. Often, watery semen indicates a low sperm count - and too much alcohol and/or smoking negatively impacts the amount of sperm a man produces.

- Retrograde ejaculation. This is a condition in which some or all of a man’s semen flows back into the bladder rather than out through the penis. When it is a partial retrograde situation, the semen that does escape through the penis may be thinner in consistency.

- Hormone issues. If a person suffers from problems with his thyroid or with the gonads, it may result in hormonal imbalances, which can dampen appropriate semen production.

There may be other causes of low sperm count that might impact semen production as well.

Basically, occasional watery semen is not typically a penis health issue. However, if it is consistently watery, a man may want to consult with his doctor, especially if he is considering fathering a child.

Watery semen joins the ranks of penis health issues, hopefully inspiring a man to daily apply a first-class penis health oil (health professionals recommend Man 1 Man Oil, which is clinically proven mild and safe for skin). When selecting an oil, find one that include both vitamin A and L-carnitine. Vitamin A has antibacterial properties that can help fight persistent penis odor, a frequent issue for men. And L-carnitine is a valuable amino acid that goes a long way to helping maintain appropriate penis sensation.

Can Masturbation Cause Acne?

You’ll go blind! You’ll get hairy palms! You’ll plague yourself with pimples! There are so many misconceptions about masturbation, it’s hard to believe any of it’s true. But what if there was a connection between masturbation and acne?

Well, there kind of is, but not really.

Both start in puberty and even sometimes start at the same time. However, usually, masturbation is met with more joy and happiness than is acne. Let’s learn a bit more about their connection and if one leads to the other (and then what to do about it, especially when it shows up below the belt).

What is acne?

Acne is a skin condition that causes whiteheads, blackheads, and pimples to form. Pores live under the skin and connect to the glands that make sebum, an oily substance. Of course, dead skin, sebum, and other debris can block the glands, attracting bacteria and thus resulting in inflammation. This is the acne a man sees on the surface of his skin, and yes, that includes his penis.

Does masturbation cause acne?

Let’s start by saying that acne is usually caused by hormonal changes. Hormonal changes kick off in puberty. These changes stimulate the body’s oil production, which can lead to acne. Masturbation also starts in puberty, but it doesn’t affect hormone levels so much that it could cause acne. In fact, the only effect it has on hormones is minimal and usually temporary based on short-term studies. Because both masturbation and acne start around the same time in a male’s life, it’s easy to see where the misconception came from. So no, one of the side effects of masturbation is not acne. That said, if a man is lax in his hygiene after masturbating and doesn’t clean up well, any leftover emissions or funk can lead to him getting penis pimples or acne on or near his member.

What causes acne?

Believe it or not, acne is like the common cold—researches are not 100 percent sure what causes it. However, there are many probable causes such as hormonal changes, medicine, diet, use of makeup and skincare products, genetics, and lazy hygiene.

If not acne, does masturbation have any side effects?

Sure! Everything has a side effect. Side effects of masturbation are mostly positive, although there are a few negatives. Here are just a few of the "good ones": improved performance, improved body confidence, improved mood, better sleep, decreased risk of prostate cancer, keeping erectile tissue healthy, and much more.

How can a man clear up acne…down there?

Most men know how to clean up acne on their body. Well, except for the region directly surrounding Mr. Happy. The reproductive area is a very delicate area for a lot of reasons. The skin is thinner and more delicate, making it much more sensitive to products. The area also is kept cooped up and in the dark a lot, which makes it an ideal, beach-front property for bacteria. It’s also an area that may see a shaver or clipper now and then, so ingrown hairs and penis pimples can be a real issue.
The best thing a man can do to clean up the area is to do just that, keep the area clean. Here are a few steps to take daily to keep your tally-wacker zit free:

- Wash daily with warm water and a mild cleanser. Be gentle but thorough, and rinse well.
- Wear cotton underwear that’s breathable and loose.
- Wash immediately after working out, sex, or on extra-sweaty days.
- Air out the penis daily. Try sleeping in the nude or just letting it all hang out a little while each day (at a private location, of course).
- Use a specially formulated penis health oil ( health professionals recommend Man 1 Man Oil, which has been clinically proven mild and safe for skin ) daily. Created with vitamin A, a natural antibacterial, vitamins B and C for healthy skin turnover, and collagen for elasticity, this oil will keep the skin clear and supple for masturbation or partner play.

Here Are 5 Things to Watch Out for When It Comes to Uncircumcised Penis Health

More men have foreskin than do not. However, how many men are really aware of all the issues they should be on the lookout for to keep their favorite appendage safe and secure? For men with uncircumcised dicks, the foreskin can cause a lot of problems if not cared for properly. With that in mind, here are 5 things to watch out for to keep your penis healthy as well as 8 uncircumcised penis health hacks to keep Mr. Willy healthy and happy for decades to come.

Be on the Lookout for: Injuries

Foreskin just sorta "hangs out," right? Well, it can famously hang precariously close to a zipper and get caught. This is a major injury for guys with uncircumcised penises.

What to do: See a doctor.

What to expect: Expect an exam, questions, and the recommendation to use over-the counter (OTC) pain relievers for discomfort. In more extreme cases, the doctor may provide prescription meds or a local anesthetic while the skin heals itself.

Be on the Lookout for: Bacterial or Fungal Infection

Like anything else, when the penis is not cleaned often enough or well enough, bacteria can take over the area and cause infections. Infections can also happen when there’s a small cut in the skin, opening the door for entry of a host of bacteria and microbes. The most common infection related to uncircumcised penises is balanitis, which is an inflammation of the head of the penis. The symptoms of balanitis can include:

- Tender and itchy penis

- Penile swelling

- Pain during urination

- Chunky white discharge under the foreskin that emits a nasty smell

What to do: Call your doctor.

What to expect: Usually you’ll remedy the issue with an antifungal medication, most often as a cream or ointment, and daily washing. It usually clears up in a few days.

Be on the Lookout for: Yeast Infection

Sorry guys, you get them too! Male yeast infections happen most often around the foreskin. Different types of fungi, including Candida albicans, cause yeast infections.

How do you know if you have a yeast infection? Here are some common symptoms:

- Itchiness

- Soreness

- Swelling around the penis

- Rash

- Papules in the area

What to do: Call your doctor to get a prescription called in. You can use OTC medications, but they generally don’t totally get rid of the infection.

What to expect: After getting your prescription, expect that it will clear up within a few days to a week. If it’s still not gone after that - call your doc.

Be on the Lookout for: Phimosis

Phimosis happens when the foreskin is too snug around the penis and stops it from retracting back over the head of the penis. Phimosis usually affects children, and as the foreskin loosens with age, phimosis disappears. In adults, phimosis can happen as the result of a sexually transmitted infection or another disease state, like diabetes. Some additional symptoms of phimosis include:

- Discomfort and sensitivity around the tip of the penis

- Swelling of the penis

- Bleeding

- Scarring near the penis tip

- Difficulty controlling the stream when urinating

- Infection

What to do: If it gets painful, see a doctor for an examination.

What to expect: Most times, a doctor will say to wash the area with lukewarm water each day. If there’s inflammation, they may prescribe a corticosteroid cream to apply as directed.

Be on the Lookout for: Paraphimosis

Paraphimosis happens when the foreskin gets stuck below the glans (or head of the penis) and cannot pull back over the penis. The skin can then become constricted around the penile shaft, resulting in inflammation and pain. It can also cause fluid buildup in the area, which only makes the swelling worse.

What to do: Seek medical attention immediately!

What to expect: A doctor will most likely use a local anesthetic to ease pain in the area. Usually, they will manually restore the foreskin to its proper spot. In more severe cases, they will have to loosen the skin by making a small incision.

Uncircumcised Penis Health Hacks

There are plenty of men out there with uncut wangs without issues. That’s because they establish a penis health regimen that works. Take a cue from them and incorporate these helpful hacks to keep your member in tip-top shape.

1) Clean under the foreskin every day with warm water and a mild cleanser. Be thorough!

2) Avoid using any harsh soaps or chemicals in the area, and definitely keep scrubs and exfoliators with acids away from your Johnson.

3) Change underwear daily (or more often if needed).

4) Shower immediately after sex or exercise.

5) Don’t powder your penis or cover it in cologne.

6) Practice safe sex.

7) Give it some air each day.

8) Use a specially formulated penis health oil (health professionals recommend Man 1 Man Oil, which has been clinically proven mild and safe for skin) to keep the penis soft, supple, and extra fresh. This is a great final step that not only keeps the area clean and sparkly but also helps preserve sensitivity and banish bacteria. Use daily for best results.

Penis Care 101: Facts about Condoms

When a man is trying to maintain excellent penis care and keep his tool looking and feeling great, he has a small arsenal of things that help him do so. In addition to a good penis health crème and a dedicated cleanser meant for his sensitive skin, a man should also have a healthy collection of condoms to help ensure he never goes without one during a sexual encounter.

Condoms not only protect against unwanted pregnancy, but also against sexually transmitted infections that could wreak havoc on a man’s penis and his life in general. But there are many facts about condoms that men don’t know, and that can drastically decrease their effectiveness. Here’s what a guy must know about the rubber he uses for his penis during those intimate encounters.

1) Use a condom every time. This means every single time, not just when it feels as though a partner might be "risky." The only exception to this rule is in a truly monogamous relationship where there is a deep trust, and both partners have been tested and found to have a clean bill of health.

2) Store them properly. Never carry a condom in the wallet, and don’t keep them in the car. The heat from the vehicle, as well as the pressure from the wallet and the body heat when wearing it close, can affect the quality of the material. Condoms should be carried only in the pocket for brief periods of time.

3) Watch the expiration date. Condoms really do expire! They lose their effectiveness after the expiration date on the package. The last thing a man wants is a malfunctioning condom, or one that has a smaller percentage of effectiveness.

4) Just use one of them. Though it might be tempting to "double up" on condom use by wrapping the penis in two of them at a time, that’s not a good idea. That leads to added friction on both condoms, which can cause them both to fail. However, it’s also important to consider that if a man is tempted to double up, should he be having sex with that person anyway?

5) Learn to use them properly. Condoms roll down one way; don’t try to roll them the other way. Squeeze the reservoir tip shut as the condom is rolled down, to help hold the sperm inside it. Use it only when the penis is fully hard and ready, and roll the condom all the way down, to help ensure that it covers the entire shaft and thus provides the best possible protection.

6) Never use them more than once. It’s not okay to use a condom for a second round. It’s designed to withstand a single use, not repeated ones. Besides that, removing the condom and then putting it back on allows bodily fluids to move to places they shouldn’t be, thus rendering the condom practically useless.

7) Don’t spread the wealth. If a man is moving between different entrances of the body - for instance, going from vaginal to anal sex - he should use a different condom each time. This is the for the partner’s benefit, to help decrease the risk of infection. If a man is lucky enough to be in bed with more than one partner, he should always use a different condom for each partner, to help avoid the spread of bodily fluids and potential infections.

8) Novelty condoms are for entertainment only. Condoms that have vivid colors, flavorings of sorts, or even those that glow in the dark should be seen as entertainment items, and used as such. Never rely on them as if they were a "real" condom.

9) Always use a water based lube. Oil-based lubes can break down the latex in the typical condom, so reach for lube that has water as a base. It’s always a good idea to use a bit of lube to help reduce friction and make sure the condom will last.

10) Remove the condom immediately. Once the fun is done, remove the condom. Do this while the penis is still hard; going soft can make the condom slip off inside a partner, and that can negate the safety the condom gave everyone involved.

Taking Penis Care to a New Level

In addition to using condoms to help ensure a healthy penis, a man can reach for a high-quality penis health creme (health professionals recommend Man 1 Man Oil, which has been clinically proven safe and mild for skin) to ensure his skin stays as smooth and healthy as possible. Look for a crème that contains a multitude of vitamins, such as A, B5, C and D, as well as alpha lipoic acid and other ingredients that ensure a healthy penis.

Red Penis Dots Culprit: Meet Purpura

Especially among fair skinned men, a red penis is nothing unusual. Often the penis skin has a reddish tinge to it naturally, and when a flow of blood rushes to the penis in order to engorge it and prepare it for sex, it often becomes a very red penis indeed. Sometimes, however, there may be red dots that appear on the penis, and a man may see these and wonder if this is a penis health issue. Several things could be responsible, among them the condition known as purpura (or at times as idiopathic or immune thrombocytopenic purpura).

What is purpura?

Sometimes known as blood spots or as blood spots or as skin hemorrhages, purpura are red or purple colored spots that appear on the surface of the skin. (They can also appear on organs, mucus membranes or in the mouth.)

In general, purpura are classified as thrombocytopenic or as non-thromboctyopenic. The difference between the two is fairly simple. If it is thrombocytopenic, that means that one’s platelets counts are lower than they should be. If it is non-thrombcytopenic, the n there’s nothing wrong with one’s platelet counts.

When a low platelet count is not the issue, common causes of purpura include weak or inflamed blood vessels; scurvy, which occurs when the body doesn’t get enough vitamin C; any medications that may have an impact upon platelet function; specific congenital disorders; or conditions that interfere with the blood’s ability to clot appropriately.

And when low platelet count IS a concern, there are several factors that could be responsible. Immune or idiopathic thrombocytopenic purpura describes a condition in which the body’s immune system starts attacking its platelets. Several other medical conditions, including Rocky Mountain spotted fever, HIV and hepatitis C can lower platelet counts as well, as can infections in the blood or certain medications.

Purpura can appear anywhere on the body, including as purple or red penis dots. Sometimes they appear widely space apart, sometimes clustered together.

Treatment

So a guy notices he has these red penis dots. What does he do?

The first order of business is to see a doctor and get it properly diagnosed. Assuming it is indeed purpura, the doctor will then try to determine the cause so that he will know the appropriate treatment. For example, if scurvy is the cause, increasing vitamin C consumption may be the first step.

When low platelet counts are involved, the doctor will want to get that count raised to a more typical number. Frequently the first line of treatment is the use of corticosteroids. This essentially tells your immune system to chill out a little, hopefully enough so that it stops killing platelets. This can take a little while, usually anywhere from a couple of weeks to six or seven weeks.

Sometimes purpura can be more severe and lead to bleeding rather than just red dots. In such cases, or in cases in which corticosteroids don’t appear to be effective, a doctor may recommend intravenous immunoglobulin (usually referred to as IVIG).

There also are several other medications which may be utilized to combat the diminished platelet situation.

Purpura can be a recurring problem, so men should keep an eye out for it and report it to their doctors if it does return.

When not caused by purpura, a red penis also is a sign of good penis health, which can be enhanced by the regular application of a top drawer penis health oil (health professionals recommend Man 1 Man Oil, which is clinically proven mild and safe for skin). The best oil will contain arginine, an amino acid which helps maintain penile blood vessel health, often a problem with purpura. In addition, find an oil that contains vitamin D3, the so-called "miracle vitamin," which has proven benefits in fighting diseases and supporting healthy cellular function.
