Penis Performance Nutrients - 1 Ingredient Sure to Boost a Man's Natural Drive

Even the most fit and active of men needs help to put a little pep in his step from time to time. Some guys turn to coffee for this effect, while others hit up the energy drinks. These measures may get the mind going, but too often cause the body to crash later in the day. This is fine for the man who has no evening plans, but for those who were hoping to heat something up in the bedroom, a caffeine crash may just ruin his night. While coffee is going to do nothing to pep up the penis, there are things a man can do to make sure the manhood is healthy and ready to go at the drop of a hat. Learn more about improving penis health the natural way with vitamin B5.

What is vitamin B5?
Vitamin B5 is a lesser-known, though very important vitamin that all men need on a daily basis. B5 is water-soluble - which means the body does not store it, but rather passes unused amounts of it out of the body. This fact makes it that much more important for men to take in the vitamin every day. Once in the body, B5 helps to metabolize food and turn it into the energy needed to do everything from going for a walk to getting frisky in the bedroom, and everything in between. The vitamin also helps boost the body’s immune system response, helping it to fight infection; to regulate blood sugar, preventing that end of afternoon energy crash; and to form red blood cells. Additionally, vitamin B5 helps lower bad cholesterol (LDL) while raising good cholesterol (HDL), as well as reducing stress, boosting the male libido and even elevating testosterone levels! Talk about an amazing vitamin.

Where does it come from?
Many men are already getting some B5 in their diet without even trying; however, because it is so important to one’s overall health, it is wise to seek out specific foods containing it to ensure the vitamin is taken in daily. Good food sources include: lean beef, pork, organ meat, salmon, tuna, legumes, eggs, mushrooms, nuts, sunflower seeds, pistachios, Brewer’s yeast, and fortified cereals. In addition to the many food sources available, the vitamin can also be found in vitamin supplements. A daily multivitamin is a good way to ensure the body is getting everything it needs to run efficiently, particularly during times when one is not eating as healthfully as one should.

Keeping the penis healthy with B5
In terms of keeping the penis healthy, B5 is a very important factor to keeping the little guy up and running. Due to the heart-healthy properties of the vitamin, it can help keep circulation flowing to the penis - which is vital to maintaining a good, strong erection. The libido-boosting properties are also a handy little benefit to B5, not to mention the boost in testosterone - both of which can not only increase a man’s interest, but give him the sexual boost he needs in the bedroom. Think of vitamin B5 as a cup of coffee for the penis! So what then, is the best way to get the vitamin directly to the source? The daily use of a penis vitamin formula (health professionals recommend Man 1 Man Oil) that contains vitamin B5, in addition to other penis specific nutrients, should be applied directly to the penis after the morning shower. Applying the vitamins topically, as with a penis cream, allows them to be instantly absorbed through the penis skin, ensuring the vitamins are going to work where they are needed most - right on the penis.

Stimulating Penis Performance through Watching Porn with a Partner

Penis stimulation, which is a key ingredient in maintaining proper penis health, comes about in a variety of ways. For many men, viewing some form of porn is one of their favorite methods of achieving penile enjoyment. Often, adult entertainment is a tool for masturbatory activities, but many men would enjoy adding a little adult entertainment into the mix with their female sexual partners. The problem is that many men fear, and perhaps with justification, that the woman (or women) in their lives would look down on them for watching erotic films, never mind asking them to be involved. But for those with a willing partner, adding adult entertainment can add a little extra spice to their sex lives.

Assess the situation.
While the popular view is that women are mortally offended by adult entertainment, this is certainly not true for all women. According to information from Brigham Young University, as many as 1 out of 3 visitors to adult web sites are women. So it's possible a lady may be more "into" the idea of exotic viewing than she lets on.

If a woman has made comments that clearly indicate she believes adult entertainment to be unworthy of respect and attention, it's probably a good idea to steer clear of asking her. But if she has not made her feelings known, a man should look for clues about her feelings. In a best case scenario, he should go ahead and make his own positive experiences with adult entertainment known and ask her how she feels - but he should also realize that in some instances, this honesty may bring about a difficult time in or an end to the relationship.

Determine tastes.
If a woman has an interest in adult entertainment, a man should then find out where their tastes and experiences overlap. If she has only made small forays into the world of adult entertainment and he is a connoisseur, it may be prudent not to jump into some of the more heavy duty or unusual viewing experiences. Also, a man should find out whether there is a preference for movies/videos, still photographs, or erotic literature. Once all this is established, the man and woman can move forward.

Start slowly but then experiment.
Most couples may want to start slowly. For example, they may put in a DVD or pull up a computer video, lie back in each other's arms and just indulge in mutual masturbation as they watch the onscreen antics of the actors.

Paying attention to how the woman reacts is important. A man can then decide if a little dirty talk is appropriate, and if so what kind: Should it focus on commentary related to what is happening on screen or should it be more personal, comparing (favorably, of course) your partner's attributes to those of the sex kitten onscreen?

Many couples prefer to use adult entertainment strictly for mutual masturbation sessions, but others like to use it as foreplay, leading to oral sex or intercourse. For those who move beyond the masturbation, adult entertainment can be an excellent way of introducing new positions into their sex lives by copying what they see onscreen.

Be complimentary.
After the sexual interlude is over, the man should make sure to be attentive to his partner; while discussing the adult entertainment is appropriate, it should always be in the context of how it makes him appreciate his real life partner.

Using adult entertainment with a partner to achieve maximum penis stimulation can often result in a sore penis, so employing an exceptional penis health cream (health professionals recommend Man 1 Man Oil) is essential. Letting a partner rub in a cream that includes a superior emollient like shea butter will both soothe the sore penis and strengthen the bond between the partners. And a man that selects a cream that also includes vitamin A is showing his respect for his partner, as vitamin A has anti-bacterial properties that help reduce penis odor, a turn-off for many women.

Better Penis Performance with 5 Easy Workout Tips

The idea of penis exercises might conjure up images of painful pushups or yoga poses that directly involve the manhood - an unlikely scenario. However, that doesn't mean that there are no real exercises available that can help to boost penis health and promote better performance, as well as overall function and aesthetic appeal. Here are five simple exercises that most men can do at home to amp up his bedroom skills - of course, all men who do not already exercise regularly should check with their doctor before embarking on any kind of physical health regimen.

1. Crunch It.
Half of a man's penis is tucked up inside the body cavity. If that man is carrying a spare tire up front, even more of his fabulous member could be buried in the fat. Exercises that target the core muscles of the abdomen might not make the penis stronger, but as the fat melts away, the unit can seem longer and much more impressive. Not only that, but building core muscles can help improve stamina, lead to harder erections, and promote more powerful orgasms.

Standard crunches can bring this transformation about, and thankfully, anyone who participated in grade-school gym knows how to complete these exercises. Those who want to look at the floor, rather than they sky, can flip around and do pushups for the same effect.

2. Try Yoga.
While pushups and sit-ups are part of the collective memory of almost every student, few adults know much about yoga unless they've taken a class. But investing a few hours learning some techniques and poses could be a smart move. After all, a significant amount of intimate performance involves confidence and focus, and a lack of stress. Studies suggest that a daily yoga habit can help people to leave the concerns of the day behind when needed, and that might allow the penis to do its work without worries about daily life intruding on the intimate moment.

3. Get it Moving.
A healthy, functional penis relies on a deep and constant supply of blood that comes from a rapidly beating heart. Without this flow, the penis is a sad and flaccid thing, but with it, the results are long and strong. Engaging in cardiovascular exercise can allow that heart to flex when it's needed, and these exercises can also be a fun way to get sweaty with a partner. Good options include:
  • Running
  • Biking
  • Swimming
  • Dancing
  • Skating
4. Take Advantage of the Firmness.
Not all penis exercises involve sweating and classrooms. In fact, many of the most effective exercises are completely private and sweat free. For example, working on the muscles that line the pelvic floor can lead to erections that last for hours and hours on end, and those exercises can be done in the wee hours of the morning in the privacy of the bedroom.

During a morning wood episode, a squeeze of the pelvic floor muscles causes the rod to do a little jump. Incorporating a few squeezes throughout the day, when bouts of firmness occur, can keep those muscles hopping, and they might be capable of delivering some intense pleasure.

5. Rest and Reward.
All of these exercises can keep the tool firm and healthy, but it's important to nourish those tissues between workouts. People who haven't exercised for long periods of time, or who push their bodies to the limit during a workout, can deplete their stores of vital nutrients the penis needs in order to deliver signals of pleasure.

A penis health creme (health professionals recommend Man1 Man Oil) can help. These products, when applied directly to the skin of the penis, can deliver targeted nutrition that is specially formatted for the needs of the penile tissue, keeping the cells firing in the proper manner. No nutrition is wasted in a trip through the digestive system when a penis health creme is at play. Instead, all of that goodness is placed right where it's needed, making these products a perfect compliment to any guy's workout.

Punch up Penis Performance with a Powerful Vitamin Cocktail

If asked to sit down and give it some thought, most men will be unable to come up with an answer about the last time they thought about the importance of nutrition when it comes to penis performance and overall good health. After all, why would the penis need any special attention, as long as the body is functioning at a reasonably healthy level? The truth is, though, that maintaining a healthy penis requires more than a catch-as-catch-can attitude when it comes to the nutrients it needs to perform all of its vital functions. Getting plenty of the following nutrients can make all the difference when it comes to a stellar performance versus a bedroom flop on date night.

Vitamin A - A healthy penis starts with smooth, resilient skin; this means getting the right amount of vitamin A, which is widely used in cosmetic lotions and skin medications to reduce scarring, clear blemishes, and maintain the surface integrity of the skin.

Vitamin B5 - Vitamin B5 is a nutrient powerhouse that works to ensure that cell metabolism is humming along and that the penile tissue is functioning normally.

Vitamin C - This nutritional heavy hitter is necessary to penis health for several reasons. First, it is an important component of circulatory tissue and is needed to form and repair the blood vessels that provide nourishment to the penile cells, as well as allowing erections to form. Second, it functions as a powerful antioxidant, helping to fight off disease and maintain cellular health. Third, it is vital to the formation of healthy skin and connective tissue and helps the skin to maintain its shape and elasticity.

Vitamin D - Another all-around nutritional superstar, vitamin D is essential to healthy skin and connective tissue, as well as playing an important role in cellular function.

Vitamin E - This nutrient is especially effective in maintaining healthy skin, locking in moisture, and soothing dryness and irritation that comes from excessive friction. Vitamin E is also often used in treating inflammatory skin conditions such as eczema and psoriasis.

Acetyl L carnitine - This protein-building amino acid is important to penile nerve health, helping to prevent peripheral nerve damage related to daily wear and tear. Acetyl L carnitine, or ALCAR, can help prevent loss of sensitivity due to rough handling.

L Arginine - Another amino acid, this nutrient is important to the circulatory health of the penis, helping to ensure healthy oxygenation of the penile tissue as well as promoting erectile function.
Alpha lipoic acid - Like vitamin C, alpha lipoic acid works as an antioxidant, preventing cellular damage that can lead to early signs of aging and even the development of cancerous cells.

Shea butter - Although not an actual nutrient, no penis health care regimen would be complete without natural emollients such as Shea butter, a rich moisturizer which helps to heal, protect and improve the quality of the penile skin.

So how can a man make sure that his penis gets all of these vital nutrients?
Getting all of these ingredients should be part of a healthy diet (with the possible exception of Shea butter), but this is actually easier said than done. These nutrients can be found in many healthy foods, but absorption of these elements is not always guaranteed, and even those that are absorbed properly into the blood stream are often directed to other parts of the body, leaving the manhood out of the equation.

This is where a little extra TLC comes in. Adding a high-quality penis vitamin cream (health professionals recommend Man 1 Man Oil) to the morning (or evening) wash-and-groom ritual can help to ensure that these nutrients are made available to the penile tissue without having to rely on miles of digestive tract to make it happen. A small dab of nourishing cream that is formulated especially for the penis can go a long way toward boosting performance, maintaining healthy and responsive tissue, and improving its overall appearance.

Punch Up Penis Performance with 6 Super Ingredients

Generally, when it comes to the penis, more is always better. More sex. More erections. More stamina. More sensation -- and so on and so forth. Exceptions to that rule, of course, may be more time needed to reach erection, more wrinkles, and more pain - ouch! While some men may have no problem popping a little pill to achieve better penis performance, there are others who prefer a more natural method. Luckily, men have been using ingredients found in nature for thousands of years for penis health and aphrodisiac properties. Learn more about food and other natural methods of maintaining penis health.

6 Foods for a healthier penis
  1. Watermelon: Though there is nothing sexy about spitting out watermelon seeds, the juicy red fruit may get a man’s juices flowing in the bedroom. Watermelon is packed with the amino acid citrulline, which is then converted to arginine which is the precursor for nitric oxide in the blood. Nitric oxide acts similarly to some erectile dysfunction medications, by helping to dilate blood vessels. This increased blood flow, in turn, works to engorge the manhood and bada bing, bada boom - a nice, firm erection.
  1. Dark Chocolate: While watermelon is not sexy, a decadent dark chocolate can awaken all the senses and be integrated into a delicious dessert - to be consumed in bed - of course. The flavonoid-rich dark chocolate helps dilate arteries and improve circulation to the manly parts - chocolate covered watermelon anyone?
  1. Cherries: If there was an award for the sexiest fruit out there, cherries -thanks to many cherry stems tied with nothing but tongues - would win hands down. Not only fun to eat, cherries increase blood flow, cleanse the body of free radicals, and relax the arteries to ensure proper circulation throughout the entire body. Try a big bowl of cherries to top off the night!
  1. Oysters: Widely known for their aphrodisiac properties, naysayers take note, oysters truly get the blood flowing due to their exceptionally high levels of zinc. Oysters also increase the body’s production of testosterone, making them the perfect penis food.
  1. Butter: Who doesn’t love a good pat of butter from time to time - besides a cardiologist, maybe? Turns out, grass fed butter is very high in vitamin K2, which surprisingly cuts one’s risk for coronary heart disease. This may actually help increase blood flow to the special areas of a man’s body, talk about a win-win!
  1. Nutmeg : A spice most households have tucked in their spice drawer for its yearly appearance in the pumpkin pie, nutmeg is also an aphrodisiac. It has been found to increase libido - in men and women - and boost erectile performance.
Natural Penis Care
Though it may be tempting, it is unlikely that one can be entirely sustained on a diet of oysters, dark chocolate covered watermelon & cherries, with a side of butter and a nutmeg-heavy pumpkin pie. However, slipping one or more of these foods into the diet whenever possible - and maybe even on date night - may pump up the power of the penis.

Luckily, there are also natural penis regimens that can be completed every day to keep the penis healthy. Adding an all-natural penis vitamin formula to the daily penis care routine (health professionals recommend Man 1 Man Oil) can spice up the love life and keep the penis healthy. Packed full of vitamins and minerals, a penis health oil can improve the look and feel of the penis skin by fighting wrinkle-causing free radicals and hydrating red, irritated skin. Amino acids - like those found in watermelon - can be absorbed through the skin of the penis to help improve blood flow and sensitivity; add it to the daily routine today.

Boosting Penis Performance by Tapping the Power of Antioxidants

Men who slept their way through biology class may only have a passing understanding of how the human body works. For example, they may know that an erection develops when the penis fills with blood, but they may not know how the way they eat and the supplements they use could support that blood flow and lead to a more satisfying sexual experience. Thankfully, there's no need to return to the classroom in order to understand how to perform proper penis care. Just learning more about antioxidants may do the trick.

Chemical Reactions

A series of tiny reactions take place inside every cell of the body on a regular basis. In most cases, these reactions are quite tidy: One cell takes electrons while another cell gives up electrons. At times, however, these trades can go haywire and cells can leave a spare electron behind. Sometimes, too, the body is bombarded with damage from the air a man breathes and the chemicals he takes in. This damage can also lead to cells with spare electrons.

These unstable cells with spare parts are known as free radicals, and they can gobble up nutrition and leave a man's body depleted of the nutrients he needs during an erection. Specifically, free radicals can deplete levels of nitric oxide in the blood. Without this chemical, a man might have difficulty achieving a strong erection that lasts and lasts. Additionally, with too many free radicals, the skin of the penis can take on a shriveled, unhealthy appearance.

An antioxidant is a substance that can eliminate these free radicals by removing their excess electrons. The chemistry is complicated and time-consuming, but in essence, these cells work a little like the cleanup crew after a party, reducing the damage and allowing the area to function as it's intended to function. For men, this means penis cells that fill up with blood as they should, as well as skin cells that look perky and healthy.

Three ways to Tap into the Power of Antioxidants

1. Natural foods - Many antioxidants can be found in natural foods, including:

  • Berries
  • Broccoli
  • Apricots
  • Prunes
  • Onions
  • Cantaloupe

  • These fresh fruits and vegetable sources can easily be sprinkled into the daily diet of almost any man, and loading up the plate with elements like this might also help guys to shed a few unwanted pounds of belly fat, and this might also be an excellent way to improve penis health. But eating right might not be the only way a man can boost his antioxidant quotient.

    2. Supplements - In a perfect world, fruits and vegetables would taste great, cost little and grow abundantly all year through. Unfortunately, some people find the taste of the items in this food group to be just awful, and they may find it hard to access fresh produce in the dead of winter in the big city. People like this don't need to sacrifice their health due to circumstance, but they might need to try artificial means to get the help they need.

Multivitamins often contain antioxidant ingredients such as zinc, selenium and Vitamin C. These little pills are easy to swallow, and they make a nice accompaniment for a morning cup of coffee. Those who want to specifically help their penile tissue, however, might consider adding another item to their penis-health checklist.

    3. Topical creams - A penis health creme (health professionals recommend Man1 Man Oil) contains antioxidant ingredients that are vital for healthy cellular function, and applying a topical cream can make for quick absorption into starved tissues. The nutrition goes right where its placed, instead of traveling throughout the body first, and putting a product like this on is also a bit of a treat. Penis health cremes also tend to contain elements that soften and soothe penile skin, and this can also help to improve both appearance and performance.

Penis Performance Boosters – Fire it Up with L-Arginine

A piece of fried chicken served with a glass of milk can supply men with L-arginine, an enzyme that's considered vital for penis health. However, that chicken dinner must take a long and tortured course through the body before it reaches the organ in question, and sometimes, the body spends its L-arginine quota before it ever reaches the penis, leaving the penile tissues starving for the nutrition they need. As a result, supplementation can be considered an important part of a man's penis performance regimen, but there are good ways and bad ways to supplement for penis health.

    A Question of Firmness
Before delving into the issue of penis supplement methods, it's wise to revisit why L-arginine is so important in the first place. In essence, this enzyme is a requirement when a man is preparing for a little action between the sheets. The transition of the penis from soft to hard is deeply dependent on healthy blood vessels. When the signal to form an erection comes from the brain, the circulatory tissue in the penis needs to relax and open wide, so blood from neighboring tissues can rush into the area.

The brain and the body use chemical markers to communicate with each other. In the case of erections, the brain signals the body to produce nitric oxide, and this chemical causes blood vessels to open up. L-arginine is an enzyme used in the production of nitric oxide. If the body doesn't have enough of this particular ingredient, the blood vessels won't be able to do their job, and no matter how much a man might be thinking about sex, his body might be unable to respond.

Oral Supplements Aren't Always the Answer
Bodybuilders often use L-arginine in pill or powder form, so it's relatively easy to find pills stuffed with L-arginine on store shelves, and men with an unresponsive penis might be tempted to head down the vitamin aisle to get the help they'll need. Unfortunately, this approach isn't likely to bring any kind of relief.

As mentioned, the digestive system isn't very efficient, and the body tends to sprinkle nutrients about without even consulting a person's brain. As a result, men who take supplements for the penis may actually be taking ingredients that are applied to their fingers or toes, bringing them no tangible sex benefits at all.

Additionally, L-arginine can cause some nasty side effects in people who take large oral doses. In one study, researchers found that people who took big doses of this substance experienced:

    • Low absorption of L-arginine
    • Bloating
    • Gas
    • Diarrhea

People who feel really ill like this are unlikely to want to have sex, and the low absorption rates might mean that their bodies won't even react as they should. These aren't the kinds of results any guy would wish for.

    Topical Applications
Applying L-arginine directly to the penis allows a man to experience the benefits of the enzyme while bypassing the digestive system altogether. No uncomfortable side effects take hold, and there's no chance that the product will be diverted to another part of the body. Instead, the enzyme penetrates deep and goes to work when it's applied directly to the skin.

This doesn't mean, however, that men can break open capsules of L-arginine and smear the paste over penis skin. In fact, this practice could be downright dangerous, as few oral products are designed to transform into smooth creams that can soak into human skin. Instead, smart shoppers should look for a penis health creme that contains L-arginine. Products like this have been specifically developed to penetrate penis skin, and they are easy to apply. A high quality penis nutrient creme (most experts recommend Man1 Man Oil) applied once or twice per day can provide men with the supplementation they need to help keep the penis functional and healthy.

Penis Performance and Alcohol: Friends or Foes?

On the surface of things, alcohol seems like a good idea when it comes to penis performance. Besides just the feel-good sensation of the buzz that comes after a few drinks, and seeing potential in partners that a man might not otherwise consider, guys who are feeling no pain might be up for doing all kinds of kinky things they might not ordinarily be willing to try. However, in spite of the sense of adventure and the reduced level of inhibition, alcohol can actually have a negative effect both on sensitivity and on penis performance. With the right penis care, the issues caused by altered body chemistry can be amended in most cases, but alcohol can have some lasting effects if men are not aware of the consequences of drinking too much.

    Nervous Nerves
The sedating, calming effect of alcohol can be felt throughout the body, but it begins inside the cells of the brain and is transmitted along the nerve pathways that serve all parts of the anatomy. Alcohol does lower inhibitions and often increases desire, but it also disrupts the neural transmissions that allow men to experience sensual pleasure. People who partake too often may have ongoing issues with penis sensitivity, as their nerve cells may be permanently damaged by the exposure.

    Haphazard Heart
The swelling action of the penis is dependent on an inflow of blood from neighboring tissue. That blood doesn't arrive of its own free will; an active heart that's beating rapidly during sexual activity pushes it there. Unfortunately, alcohol can also impair electrical activity inside the heart, meaning that this muscle just can't work as quickly or as hard as it once did. While the heart might beat furiously, it might not be able to move blood into the penis at all.

Additionally, alcoholic drinks tend to pack a big caloric punch, so men who drink a lot may be carrying around a big batch of belly fat that puts yet more pressure on the heart. A man with this kind of trouble may still have penis sensitivity, but he may be unable to do anything with the sensations he feels. Losing this weight could be vital, but some men also need to consult with doctors in order to repair heart damage caused by overindulgence.

    Drunken Decisions
When someone is intoxicated, all sorts of ideas seem to be acceptable or even desirable. People who are under the influence may do things that the penis might later regret, including:

    • Having unprotected sex
    • Neglecting  to use a personal lubricant
    • Using fast, acrobatic sexual movements that could bruise or damage the penis
    • Trying forceful hand gestures to make an unwilling penis come to attention

When sobriety returns, a man might be rewarded with a painful, damaged penis that might have a reduced ability to feel any kind of pleasure at all. Proper penis care could amend this kind of transient damage and allow a man to return to his former glory. Soothing baths, cotton underwear and abstinence are the three ingredients needed in a penis-healing recipe for issues like this.

    Choosing Alternatives
Alcohol isn’t the only tool available to a man who wants to break the ice with a potential partner. Good food can also be an incredible aphrodisiac, and some couples find that cooking together provides them with both a physical and an emotional proximity that can boost their intimate moments together. Dancing can also be a healthy way to get the blood flowing for a couple, and the workout on the dance floor could be followed by a workout of a more personal nature.

A penis health creme could be a good investment for men who want to improve penis sensation and repair the damage caused by rough handling. A penis vitamin creme (most experts recommend Man1 Man Oil) is loaded with vitamins that can soothe and protect the skin, and the product is designed to be rubbed right into the tissues of the penis, leaving no perfume or residue behind. An organ treated like this may become more responsive than ever, ready for whatever comes next.

Penis Performance – Keeping the Penis Young

Many men believe erectile dysfunction is a problem that only occurs in older men, but those who do will need to rethink this assumption.  A man under 30 – even some as young as 20 – can experience the same problems down under as a man 65 or older.  Erectile dysfunction is estimated to plague as many as 15 to 30 million men in the United States.  While it’s true that men over 65 are more likely to have erectile dysfunction, many young bucks have had the very same problems in the bedroom.  There are steps men can take to prevent this frustrating problem, including a proper penis health care regimen.

    What is erectile dysfunction?

Erectile dysfunction is a condition in which men are unable to perform sexually.  This may be experienced as difficulty achieving or maintaining an erection, as a decrease in firmness, or an inability to get it up in certain situations – for example, some men have no problems with solo performances, but fall flat when it’s time for a duet.  And while it is true that performance issues can happen to any man and are relatively common, if the problem persists on a regular basis across multiple situations, it is worth speaking to a doc about.  In some cases, erectile dysfunction may just be a temporary issue with a man’s plumbing, but it may also be an indication of an underlying health condition.

What are some causes of erectile dysfunction in a young man?

Stress:  Perhaps the most common reason for sexual difficulties in a young man is stress.  Whether it is the job, the relationship, the kids or money, having too many stressors takes a toll on the body.  Reducing the stress level in anyway possible, or changing the coping mechanism used, can help to alleviate this problem.  Increasing exercise, practicing deep breathing exercises, or trying meditation can all be effective stress busters.

Anxiety:  Anxiety and stress often go hand in hand; too much stress influences the body’s nervous system, which then mucks up the sexual response.  Unfortunately, it is a vicious cycle in terms of one’s love life.  The anxiety may be related to a work problem but it ends up contributing to a lack-luster performance in the bedroom. This then ups the anxiety when it comes time for another romp in the hay, as the man does not want another poor showing; thus, performance anxiety is created.  If such a pattern persists, a non-organic erectile dysfunction can occur (meaning it comes from psychological, not physical origins). A trip to the urologist can help determine if physical or psychological causes underlie the issue.

Alcohol Use:  Using alcohol to excess can affect many areas of one’s health, and sexual health is no different.  Too much alcohol can damage the central nervous system and impact circulation, causing too little blood flow to a man’s favorite organ and reducing its tumescence.

Smoking:  Smoking is not only bad for the heart; it is bad for the nether regions.  The ingestion of nicotine and other carcinogens causes hardening of the arteries, which in turn stresses the circulatory system, making it more difficult for blood to reach the vital organs and extremities of the body.  A sturdy lovestick depends on a high volume of blood, so if the circulatory system is compromised, the penis may pay the price.

Medical and other causes:  Certain medications, including anti-depressants, have been linked to erectile dysfunction, in addition to various diseases such as diabetes and multiple sclerosis. Peyronie’s disease -- a condition where plaque builds up on the penis tissue, causing bends and abnormal curvature -- kidney failure, surgery, and psychological disorders have all been linked to problems of the intimate nature.

    Keeping the penis healthy

Many simple lifestyle changes can go a long way in reaching optimum penis health.  Eating a balanced diet, managing stress effectively, exercising, avoiding drugs and alcohol and getting regular checkups from a physician can all help keep the penis healthy.  The daily use of a penis health creme (most professionals recommend Man 1 Man Oil) can also help improve blood and oxygen flow to the penis.

Penis Performance and Phallic Falsehoods - 4 Penis Myths Debunked

Over the years, there have been plenty of myths and old wives’ tales about penis performance and size; nearly everyone has heard the story that masturbation causes blindness or hairy palms. But the vast majority of these myths are based purely on imagination, with no medical evidence to back them up.  So before getting stressed out over the idea that women can tell the size of a man’s penis based on his height, weight, eye color, or the height of his father’s grandfather’s cousin….read these 4 common penis myths and maybe have a chuckle.

While it’s true that one may not be able to tell much about the size, health or virility of a man just by looking at him, there are some steps he can take to maintain the health of his penis so it is in tip-top shape the next time his partner gets up close and personal.  A daily penis care regimen will keep the love stick running at optimum performance, which may help improve self-confidence in the sack -- and that is no laughing matter.

A common old wives’ tale hypothesizes that the size of the man’s equipment correlates to the size of his feet, meaning, the bigger his feet, the larger the penis, and vice versa.  In fact, considerable research has been focused on this phenomenon, and it has been proved time and time again that there is no scientific link between the sizes of these two body parts.

    Hand Size
Another collective belief is that a man’s penis size can be determined by the size of his hand; big hands equals a big Johnson.  This myth is not entirely true, though interestingly, there just may be a connection between a guy’s digits and his trouser mouse.  A study in the Asian Journal of Andrology found that men who have a shorter index finger than ring finger may have bigger penises than those whose relative finger lengths are reversed.  It is believed that penis length and finger length are both influenced by the amount of testosterone men are exposed to in utero.  This pre-birth exposure to the hormone may be, in part, responsible for a longer penis.

    Race
It is a often thought certain races are naturally more endowed than others, with the generally accepted idea being that men of African descent are especially large in this department, while Asian men get the proverbial short end of the stick, and Caucasians falling somewhere in the middle.  While numerous studies have been published on this very issue, the results tend to support the fallacy of this claim.  Bottom line, penis length and girth vary amongst all men, regardless of race.

Men are always ready to go
While it may be true that some men have a more active sex drive than their female counterparts -- particularly in their teens and early 20s -- men are not all insatiable creatures ready to rumble 24/7.  In fact, this myth, above all others, may make some men feel that they are underperforming or not living up to expectations.  Men, like women, are entitled to say, “Not tonight, Dear” without feeling emasculated – everybody has to sleep sometime.  Keeping realistic expectations about one’s love life and penis performance can help reduce feelings of insecurity or failure.

However, for men who feel like they have lost – or are losing their mojo – there are things that can be done to bring back the vitality to the penis, or simply maintain and improve on an already healthy member.  Using a vitamin-rich penis health creme (most experts recommend Man 1 Man Oil) can help to improve circulation – poor circulation is a major contributing factor to a lack luster performance – in addition to repairing penile nerve damage and increasing sensitivity. Many nutrients, including vitamins C, E, A, and B5 have been shown to improve sexual functioning, and applying them directly to the penis may improve absorption rate when compared to taking a vitamin pill.
