Unusual Penis Problems: Do You Have Keto Crotch?

Unless you’ve been hiding in a doomsday bunker, you have definitely heard about the Keto Diet. And chances are…you are probably sick of hearing about it unless you are an enthusiast. But something you may not know is that there are a few penis problems that have shown up as a result of this fat-friendly lifestyle. Experienced by both men and women, "Keto Crotch" is the latest potential side effect of Halle Berry's favorite diet. Besides being wonderfully alliterative, Keto Crotch is, for men, a condition wherein their junk smells like, well, junk, and there may be a bit of unusual dryness in that special of all special areas - the taint, or perineum as the fancy folks say. So, let’s talk about this smelly penis issue and how to deal with it. After all, now that you're getting that super-hot body, why would you not want the amorous benefits that come with it that a smelly penis will definitely halt?

What is the Keto Diet?

If you are currently drawing breath, you have heard of the Keto Diet. The Ketogenic Diet, as it is technically known, is a high-fat, moderate-protein, low-carb diet where a person gets about 80 percent of their calories from fat, with as little as 5 percent coming from carbohydrates. So, think lots of avocadoes and salmon and no (or very little) bread or pasta. This low level of carbohydrate intake pushes the body into ketosis, wherein the body burns fat stores for energy. People lose weight pretty fast at first, and the lifestyle seems fairly easy to maintain once you get over the hump. Simple enough, right?

Why is the Keto Diet causing you to have a smelly penis?

The Keto Diet puts the body into ketosis, which creates ketones. Ketones are organic compounds made of carbon, hydrogen, and oxygen. One ketone, in particular, is acetone, which smells a lot like nail polish remover (because it is). They throw off the body’s pH and can cause things to get a little extra funky for a while. This buildup of ketones in the body can lead to things like keto breath and keto body odor, and now a unique new kind of penis problem to deal with, Keto Crotch.
How to calm Keto Crotch

The good news is, after a few months, the body adapts to the new Keto sheriff in town. However, having a smelly penis for 2 or 3 months is about 4 months too many, right? And let’s not forget that weirdly dry situation happening on your perineum.

Here are a few ways to free the funk while waiting it out:

- Drink lots of water - this flushes waste out of the body more frequently, giving it less time to ferment on your insides
- Eat a lot of veggies and some fibrous fruits. These naturally freshen things up and also provide fiber to push waste out of the system. These are also alkaline foods that balance the pH of your skin, which helps reduce odor
- Shower daily, more often if you have sex or workout
- Take a prebiotic daily or eat kimchi or sauerkraut
- Take a quality probiotic every day

Here are a few ways to soften up that taint:

- Only use a gentle cleanser and warm water when washing
- Use coconut oil on the area for a natural softener that soaks in relatively quickly
- Apply a specially formulated member health oil( health professionals recommend Man 1 Man Oil , which has been clinically proven safe and mild for skin) daily. This type of oil includes a natural conditioning base like shea butter that provides gentle, calming hydration. It also helps keep the area fresh and bacteria-free.

Dealing With Erectile Dysfunction: Understanding and Treating It

According to the Cleveland Clinic, 52 percent of men experience erectile dysfunction (ED) at some point in their lives. A frequently talked about penis problem, erectile dysfunction has many different faces. Causes, treatment, and experience are unique to each man. ED delves deeper into a man’s physical, emotional, and mental health in more ways than many men believe, and often times, doesn’t originate in the penis itself. Men need to know all the facts about erectile dysfunction so they can do their best to prevent it, or at a minimum, know how to manage the condition for a healthy, active sex life.

Erectile Dysfunction Defined

Erectile dysfunction is more than an "every once in a while" problem. Men with ED cannot create or maintain an erection at least 25 percent of the time when they try to. Erectile dysfunction is a penis problem that is chronic, meaning that it can be managed, but not entirely cured. While men of any age can have ED, men over 40 do have a higher instance and risk for experiencing erectile dysfunction, and that risk only increases with time.

Erectile dysfunction also isn’t experienced in the same way by all men. Some men can get an erection but cannot keep it long enough to achieve release, whether from self-stimulation or intimacy with a partner. Other men cannot get hard at all. Still, other men can get an erection sometimes, just not reliably. Hardness can also vary. All said and done, erectile dysfunction presents in many ways, and as a result, can be treated in many ways.

What Causes Erectile Dysfunction?

Many things can cause erectile dysfunction. Causes can be physical, psychological, or pharmaceutical. The most common reason, however, is that erectile dysfunction is a symptom of a man’s initial or root disease. This includes conditions such as:

- Diabetes
- Obesity
- Cancer
- High cholesterol
- High blood pressure
- Stroke
- Heart disease
- Multiple sclerosis

Diagnosing and Treating Erectile Dysfunction

A doctor will use one or more the following tests to diagnose erectile dysfunction:

- Physical Exam - The doctor or urologist will check the reproductive region for signs of damage such as bruising, lumps, excessive scar tissue, or a dramatic curve in the penis.
- Urine Test - This test looks for ED-associated illnesses like diabetes and cancer.
- Blood Test - A blood test will be used to look for things like low testosterone, diabetes, heart disease, and other conditions.
- Ultrasound - A specialist facilitates this test. He or she will wave a wand-like ultrasound device over the blood vessels that supply blood to the penis. This test is sometimes heightened by the injection of medication to produce an erection.
- Psychological Exam - A physician, psychologist, therapist, or psychiatrist will perform a 1- to 2-hour examination to look for anxiety, depression, or other mental health issues.
Once correctly diagnosed, a treatment plan will be created depending on the root cause or causes of erectile dysfunction. Sometimes simple lifestyle changes like losing weight or getting more exercise can reverse ED. Medications to treat root causes can also be used. Finally, some men opt for erection-producing pills like Viagra, or the P-spot or penile implants.

Men who suffer from this common penis problem have also benefitted from using a specially formulated penis health oil ( health professionals recommend Man 1 Man Oil, which has been clinically proven safe and mild for skin ) to help treat their erectile dysfunction. These types of oils improve blood flow, resulting in harder, long-lasting erections from critical nutrients, such as L-arginine and vitamin C. Other vitamins, such as A, B, and D, also advance penis health by protecting the penis from bacteria and nourishing the skin to preserve penile sensitivity. Use once per day or more often for best results.

Incontinence – One of the More Embarrassing Penis Problems

An issue in bed - that’s one of the first things that comes to mind when a guy think of penis problems (and with good reason - that is a big penis problem). But the range of penis health issues extends far beyond concerns about erections or ejaculation. One of the penis problems guys especially want to sweep under the rug is that of urinary incontinence. It can be embarrassing, but it pays to know something about this issue in case it becomes a factor in one’s own life.

Urinary incontinence

Urinary incontinence refers to a situation in which a person (male or female) urinates involuntarily. Although technically one lone instance of involuntarily urinating is considered incontinence, most of the time when it is discussed it is in a chronic form, in which it is an ongoing or continuing issue to dealt with. Among men, urinary incontinence is more common at the ends of the age spectrum - among young boys or older men. However, it is interesting to note that as many as 15% of men between 15 and 64 experience some form of chronic incontinence.

Urinary incontinence is generally classified in one of three categories:

- Stress. When a man has stress incontinence, this generally means that urine leaks out because of stress being placed on the bladder. It is more likely to happen when the bladder is full or near full, but can happen even when there is not a significant amount of urine in the bladder. An example of stress incontinence would be a man lifting a heavy object in such a way that some urine leaks out. (It may be only a small amount or it may be much more.) Another common occurrence of stress incontinence may occur when a man is coughing heavily.

- Urge. Urge incontinence is different and is perhaps occurs more frequently than stress incontinence. As the name implies, if a man experiences urge incontinence, he is fully aware that he has reached a time when he needs to urinate but cannot reach a bathroom before the urine starts flowing. Sometimes the time between becoming aware of the need to urinate and the time that the urination begins can be fairly short. When most people think of incontinence, they focus on urge incontinence.

- Overflow. Think of this as simply having too full a bladder - the organ has reached its capacity and has to release urine in order to accommodate more liquid. Overflow urine is often associated with situations in which a great deal of liquid (often alcoholic) is imbibed at once.

Why does it occur?

Incontinence can happen for numerous reasons, including simply drinking too much. But some common causes include:

- Urinary tract infection . In some instances, an infection may impact a man’s ability to control his urine flow.

- Weak muscles. The muscles which are in charge of shutting on and off the flow of urine may not be strong enough to properly do their job.

- Nerve issues. Some illnesses, especially diabetes and Parkinson’s disease, create nerve damage situations which prevent the nerves and muscles from coordinating properly, allowing for unwanted urination.

- Alcohol consumption. Drinking too heavily during can cause overflow incontinence, but it may also help to weaken muscles or damage nerves.

- Stress. As with so many things in life, high stress situations can create incontinence problems, especially if the stress is chronic and maintained for lengthy periods of time.

Men who experience incontinence should check with a doctor to determine the probable cause and determine a course of action to address the situation.

Urinary incontinence and other penis problems remind a man of the importance of attending to penis health and of daily applying a top drawer penis health oil (health professionals recommend Man 1 Man Oil, which is clinically proven mild and safe for skin). Look for an oil with L-carnitine, an amino acid which can help to maintain delicate penis sensation which may be affected by nerve issues. The oil should also include vitamin B5, or pantothenic acid, a vital nutrient that is required for cell metabolism and the maintenance of healthy tissue.

How to Improve Penis Health and Avoid Penis Problems

Penis problems are no bueno. Erectile dysfunction, premature ejaculation, priapism, and penis fractures are just a few of the issues a penis can have. Many times, these penis problems can indicate underlying issues, like physical and mental health conditions. Thankfully, once a man knows how to improve his penis health, he and his penis can prevent many penis problems from happening. Here’s a basic primer on penis problems and how to improve penis health.

What sort of things affect penis health?

There are tons of things that can affect how a penis functions and cause penis problems. Here are ten of the most common:

- Sexually transmitted infections (STIs) which include things such as gonorrhea, syphilis, chlamydia (which is making a comeback), and genital herpes

- Penile fracture or injury

- Erectile dysfunction

- Priapism

- Yeast infection

- Phimosis

- Paraphimosis

- Ejaculation problems, including premature ejaculation, painful ejaculation, retrograde ejaculation, delayed ejaculation, and the inability to ejaculate

- Penile cancer

- Peyronie's disease

Are their risk factors that make a man more prone to penis problems?

Various risk factors can affect penis health — some modifiable and some not. For example:

- Getting older (sorry, nothing a man can do about this one)

- Heart disease, diabetes, and related conditions.

- Obesity

- Smoking

- Alcoholism

- Hormone levels, especially testosterone deficiency

- Certain medications like sleep medicines, blood pressure medication, and antidepressants.

- Prostate cancer treatment and medication

- Depression, anxiety, severe stress, low self-esteem, or other mental health issues

- Unprotected sex, risky sexual liaisons, and sex with many partners

- Neurological conditions like dementia, stroke, multiple sclerosis, and spinal cord and back injuries

- Penis piercings

When should a man see his doctor?

Sometimes a man shouldn’t just "walk it off" when it comes to a penile concern. Here are some things that definitely warrant a trip to the doctor’s office:

- A sudden change in sexual interest or desire

- Excessive pain after penile trauma or injury

- Bleeding during urination or ejaculation

- A fiery feeling when you pee

- A drastically bent penis or curvature that triggers pain or obstructs sexual activity

- Discharge from the penis

- Changes in ejaculation

- Rash, bumps, warts, or lesions on the penis or in the genital area

How to Improve Penis Health and Avoid Penis Problems

There are many things a man can do to get and keep his penis healthy. Most of them are easy to incorporate and contribute to whole-body health. Consider adding some or all of these tips to keep Mr. Happy, happy.

- Kick the Habit. It’s time to quit smoking. It shrinks blood vessels and deteriorates penile tissue. And, it’s plain ol’ bad for a man’s health.

- Practice Moderation with Alcohol. Whiskey dick aside, too much to drink can put down a man’s peen. For men under 65, limit it to two drinks. Gentlemen over 65 should stop at one.

- Get vaccinated. Men who are under 26 should really consider getting the human papillomavirus (HPV) vaccine to defend against cancers that are associated with the disease.

- Wrap It Up or Put a Ring on It (Kinda). Either get into a monogamous relationship or be sure to put a jimmy on your Johnson. Practice consensual, safe sex.

- Watch your Waist. Being at a healthy weight can lower the risk of having medical issues like high blood pressure, high cholesterol, type 2 diabetes, and erectile dysfunction.

- Bone Up on Your Medications. Talk to your doc about what a medication does and potential side effects it can have.

- Work It Out. Regular physical activity can reduce a man’s risk of erectile dysfunction. Sweat sessions don’t have to be insane but aim to break a sweat and up your heart rate a bit. Also, throw in some strength training.

- Mental Health Matters! Check-in with yourself from time to time, and if you experience anxiety, too much stress, depression, or any other mental issues, head to a qualified psychiatrist, doctor, or therapist for help.

- Practice Good Hygiene. This is pretty basic. Clean your dick. Do it well and be thorough. Use warm water, mild soap, and get every wrinkle and ripple. Rinse well and air or pat dry. To finish things off, massage a specially formulated penis health creme (health professionals recommend Man 1 Man Oil, which has been clinically proven safe and mild for skin) to protect and nourish the penis. Not only will it make a man’s penis soft and supple, but it will also help boost blood flow and ward off bacteria.

Uncommon Penis Problems: Spontaneous Ejaculation

Generally speaking, keeping a careful eye on one’s penis health helps avoid many potential penis problems. But sometimes penis health issues pop up despite careful and close monitoring. One of the less common penis problems a man may encounter is that of the spontaneous ejaculation.

The problem

A spontaneous ejaculation is exactly what it sounds like - a release of semen from the penis without any "warning" and often without any corresponding orgasm (although this last may vary from man to man or from one spontaneous ejaculation to another). In many instances, the ejaculation occurs in the absence of an erection or any outward sign of arousal in the penis at all.

Some men report that their very first ejaculation may be of the spontaneous variety, although there is some controversy about this. Often, a man means that his first ejaculation occurred without him physically stimulating himself or engaging in sexual contact with another person; however, very frequently the first ejaculation is accompanied by a very definite erection and fairly lengthy period of arousal and of sexual feeling, which differentiates it from what is meant by spontaneous ejaculation.

On a purely technical basis, sometimes nocturnal emissions - ejaculating in one’s sleep - may be considered forms of spontaneous ejaculation; however, doctors tend to treat them as distinct from spontaneous ejaculation.

Embarrassing

As one can well imagine, a man who suffers from frequent spontaneous ejaculation (or even infrequent instances) might find it extremely embarrassing. This is the case whether a man experiences the problem in the presence of definite erections or arousal or in their absence.

One of the things that is frustrating about chronic spontaneous ejaculation is that it is usually difficult to predict. Perhaps it happens to one man 2 or 3 times a month and is accompanied by an erection. This can make a man anxious when he gets an erection, as he is not sure whether it will result in an unexpected ejaculation or not. On the other hand, if he does not generally have "warning" in the form of arousal, he may find himself mid-conversation having to excuse himself.

Why does it happen?

Doctors do not really know exactly why spontaneous ejaculation occurs, especially chronically and in adult men. During adolescence, the raging hormones associated with that period may account for an occasional spontaneous ejaculation or two.

But what about during adulthood? One factor that is common with spontaneous ejaculation is stress. Some men who ejaculate spontaneously - whether it is one time only or fairly frequently - report experiencing keen stress in their lives (and especially in their work situation) and often find that the problem occurs when they are feeling especially stressed. It has been theorized by some that the spontaneous ejaculation is the body’s attempt to ease that stress, as typically it is accompanied by high levels of dopamine, the "feel good" hormone. However, studies have not been conducted to test this hypothesis.

In some cases, there may be a medical connection to spontaneous ejaculation. Some medications used to treat attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), depression, or psychosis may potentially be associated with this form of penis problem.

When medication seems to be a trigger, trying another drug might be an option. If stress is the likely cause, lifestyle changes to minimize stress or to learn to deal with it better (such as meditation and yoga) might be tried.

Spontaneous ejaculation is one of the more embarrassing penis problems, and so a man may want to pay attention to penis health to minimize chance of another issue. Regular application of a first-rate penis health oil (health professionals recommend Man 1 Man Oil, which is clinically proven mild and safe for skin) can help improve penis health. The best oils will contain both a high-end emollient (such as shea butter) and a natural hydrator (like vitamin E) to help keep skin soft and well moisturized. The oil should also contain vitamin C, a key component of collagen, a tissue in the body that gives skin its tone and elasticity.

Aging Penis Problems: 5 Issues That Happen With Age and How to Prevent Them

When it comes to aging, no part of the body is spared, the penis included. Thankfully, it usually doesn’t happen overnight. Changes start to manifest over time, and that’s good. How could that be good? Well, that incremental time can give a man a little reminder to take better care of his Johnson to keep it standing strong and tall into his golden years. Let’s talk about 5 penis problems that happen with age and how to prevent them.

Aging Penis Problem #1: Size

Let’s dive right in with one of the potentially more hot-button topics for men that seems to haunt them as soon as they realized their penis might be smaller or larger than another male’s: the size of one’s penis.

The hard truth is that yes, with age, the penis will shrink a bit due to decreases in blood flow and testosterone production. But the good news is that the loss is measured at about 1 centimeter to 1½ centimeters.

With age, many men carry more belly weight than they did in their youth. This makes the penis appear smaller, but great news, weight loss will uncover those lost inches. Lose weight and gain inches!

Aging Penis Problem #2: Reduced Urinary Function

Having a problem turning your stream on or off? Urinary issues, whether getting a flow going or the inability to stop it, are a direct result of prostate health. This is a penis problem that increases significantly with age. It affects men in their 40s around 20 percent, while 50 to 60 percent of males in their 60s experience this, and up to 90 percent of men over 70.

Aging Penis Problem #3: Sensitivity

As men age, testosterone levels drop. Testosterone maintains nervous tissue. Ipso facto, when testosterone decreases, so does sensitivity, making it harder to get to the "top of the mountain." When an erection is produced, it won’t be as hard as it was in a man’s prime years.

Aging Penis Problem #4: Color

When you look at your favorite leather armchair, the one you’ve had for 20 years, it’s common for its patina to change over time. It’s the same with your penis. Atherosclerosis, a common problem of aging, restricts blood flow, affecting the penis. When there is less blood, the penis looks lighter in color. This does nothing to impair function. Skin can also appear more mottled as a result of vigorous use over the years.

Aging Penis Problem #5: Erectile Dysfunction (ED)

Undoubtedly one of the best-known penis problems, ED shows up in around 5 percent of men in their 40s. By the time they’re 70, the number goes up to 15 percent. A variety of issues cause ED, be they biological in nature such as illness, psychologically inclined by issues such as stress and depression, and relationship-related if there’s a significant conflict between partners, or just a matter of lack of skill or trust between partners.

It may seem like an easy problem to fix, right? Just pop a little blue pill and BAM! Boner city! However, the best way to fix it starts with a visit to the doctor since they can best define the sort of treatment you need for your diagnosis.

Preventing Penis Problems

Benjamin Franklin said, "An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure." Well, good ol’ Benny knew what he was talking about. The best way to treat penis problems is by preventing them.

Here’s how to grow old gracefully with a penis:

- Keep at or get to a healthy weight.

- Exercise multiple times each week to tone the pelvic floor muscles. It can be as simple as walking or picking up a couple games of hoop to keep everything moving nicely.

- Do Kegels as often as possible to strengthen pelvic floor muscles.

- Avoid sitting all day! Take frequent breaks to take pressure off the prostate that sitting causes.

- Limit alcohol consumption.

- Ejaculate multiple times each week to "flush" out the area and keep infection and bacteria away.

- Use a penis health oil (health professionals recommend Man 1 Man Oil, which has been clinically proven safe and mild for skin) daily to keep the penis strong and vital. This oil topically delivers penis health helpers like vitamins A, B, C, and D, as well as alpha lipoic acids, L-arginine, and L-carnitine. Get better blood flow, keep bacteria at bay, and keep your penis young for decades to come.

Eating Lots of Fruits and Vegetables Could Help Weak Erections

It happens to the most virile of men: he gets a droopy noodle. Either the big guy won’t get up, or he seems to get up reluctantly and groggy in a half-hearted sort of erection. A weak erection is nothing to be casual about, and a man has many ways he can fix it. However, he may not have thought of this way: eat more veggies. Could a bunch of carrots lead to stronger erections? Let’s look at the data.

How the Male Diet Can Cause Weak Erections

According to a study by the CDC, men and young adults eat the least fruits and vegetables of any other demographic. How is this measured? The USDA recommendation for intake is about 2 cups of fruit and between 2 and 3 cups of vegetables. It doesn’t seem like a lot to consume each day, but only 10 percent of Americans are eating the amount of produce that is equivalent to good health.

Okay, that is all well and good, but what about boners? Studies have shown that a man’s lifestyle has a lot to do with penis problems like weak erections and erectile dysfunction. Men make unhealthy choices like smoking, drinking, and not getting enough quality sleep, and they have a poor diet.

When a man hears the words "poor diet," surely visions of ramen, pizza, and Cool Ranch Doritos come to mind. However, it’s less about that stuff and more about what men are failing to put in their bodies that are giving their trouser snake a case of the blahs. Men are not getting enough flavonoids.

Flavonoids: A Cure for Weak Erections?

Flavonoids are part of nearly all fruits and vegetables. It refers to an assorted group of plant chemicals (phytonutrients) that with carotenoids give produce its color. They also make arteries more flexible, which allows for better blood flow for a man’s boner. Several studies have shown that adding flavonoids into the diet correlates with lower rates of cardiovascular disease, obesity, diabetes, some cancers, and neurodegenerative disease. Hmmm…most of these disease states are the usual suspects for erectile dysfunction and weak erections.

Bring That Eggplant Emoji to Life

Research published in 2016 found that men who took in more flavonoids, specifically flavones, had a significant decrease in the likelihood of having erectile dysfunction. Their study included men from age 18 to 70, so it hits the sweet spot of people living with erectile dysfunction.

So why would a young guy, who thinks his erection will persevere forever, want to increase his intake of kale and beets? It protects his penis health and protects against future erectile dysfunction. Some damage can’t be undone, and by starting his penile preservation early, he can keep his arteries strong and elastic.

Not only that, but some vegetables also have particular nutrients that give a man’s sex life an extra boost. For instance, in addition to having flavonoids, celery is an aphrodisiac for both men and especially women. It’s an excellent reason for a man to make his lady an ants on a log snack to get in the mood. The final word? Eat more fruits and vegetables, so weak erections become a thing of the past.

Another way to get key vitamins and nutrients is to use a vitamin-rich penis health oil (health professionals recommend Man 1 Man Oil, which has been clinically proven safe and mild for skin) that has been created especially for penile skin is a critical part of preserving penis health. It also includes vitamin C and L-arginine, which also serve as a blood flow booster to fight against weak erections and keep a man’s eggplant forever full and healthy.

Penis Problems: Hey, There’s Blood in My Semen

Penis problems can vary in severity and significance, as well as in what parts of the body they affect. For example, sometime they may impact the penis itself, other times body parts that lead to the penis in some way, and in yet others in components that are associated with the penis – such as semen. When there is blood in the semen, this becomes a penis health problem. But what causes it? And is it generally a serious problem?

Blood in the semen

Although a man can get blood in the semen any time after he has started producing semen, it is more common among men between 30 and 40 and in men over 50. When blood is present, the color of the semen tends to change from a milky or pale white to pink, reddish, or brownish. There can be several causes of blood in the semen.

The reason blood in the semen becomes more common in men over 50 is that these men begin being checked for prostate issues – and one of the reasons why blood may suddenly appear in the semen can be a complication from a biopsy of the prostate. It can also be due to other urogenital procedures, such as a vasectomy (which of course can occur in men of any age). During such procedures, a rupture occurs, which causes blood to flow and get mixed in with semen elsewhere in the body.

Similarly, prostate cancer may create this problem – but this tends to be fairly rare. However, this can be a warning sign of the cancer, so if there is no other likely cause, a doctor should check to see if prostate cancer is possible.

More common

A more likely reason for blood in the semen is that a man has been working his penis too vigorously during sex, either with a partner or by himself. When the sex gets a bit uninhibited or rough, it may cause small ruptures in the penile blood vessels, releasing blood.

Also much more common, unfortunately, is the possibility that the bloody semen is the result of a sexually transmitted infection (STI). Several STIs list blood in the semen as symptoms – but so do some infections that are not necessarily passed on through sexual contact.

Sometimes there may be blockage somewhere in the various tubes and ducts involved in semen creation and transportation. When this happens, there may be rupture and the presence of blood.

What to do

If a man notices he has blood in his semen, he should contact his doctor, especially if there is any pain in his penis, if blood also shows up in the urine, or if he develops problems urinating. In many cases, the blood will go away without any treatment within a few days.

How a doctor treats blood in the semen will be based on his diagnosis of the cause. For example, a bacterial infection may require antibiotics.

Finding blood in one’s semen can cause anxiety, but often it is one of the less serious penis problems. Decreasing potential problems is a goal of good penis care, which requires the regular use of a first-rate penis health oil (health professionals recommend Man 1 Man Oil, which is clinically proven mild and safe for skin). There are a variety of creams and oils out there, but search for an oil that contains vitamin A, which is valued not only for its anti-aging and blemish-fighting properties but also for its ability to fight bacteria that can cause persistent penis odor. Check also to see if the oil contains alpha lipoic acid, a potent antioxidant that can help fight free radicals and diminish oxidative stress.

Erectile Dysfunction and Marijuana: What Every Man Needs to Know

It’s hard to believe that marijuana is now legal, in some form, in 33 states in the Union. According to studies conducted in 2017, nearly 37 million people use marijuana in some form. It’s becoming more and more common. Like any substance, it has side effects over time, and there is a direct impact from using it. One direct impact that is currently in question is its general sexual effects on men and women, specifically, erectile dysfunction in men. While the conclusions are skewed, let’s explore the links between this common penis problem and weed.

Erectile Dysfunction: A Quick Review

Let’s all get on the same page about what erectile dysfunction is. Having a once-every-blue-moon issue with summoning the soldier is not classified as erectile dysfunction. Now, if a man has the issue 25 percent of the time, he may be suffering from this common penis problem. Also, it’s not just men of a certain age who are affected by erectile dysfunction. Men of any age can experience it, although a man’s risk of experiencing it does notably increase every decade after age 40.

Marijuana and Sexy Time: The Hard (no pun intended) Data

Since marijuana was classified as a Schedule I drug for such a long time, there isn’t a lot of conclusive clinical data on the effects. However, with more and more legalization initiatives, the opportunity for additional studies grows. However, there is at least some information out there, and some of it does talk about erectile dysfunction and other penis problems.

Here’s what’s been studied or anecdotally noted about marijuana use and sex:

- More people are interested in having sex. This was also clinically measured in 2017 with a test group of 50,000 men and women. They found that marijuana use is "independently associated with increased sexual frequency."

- Some users report increased pleasure when having sex. A study in 2019 in the Journal of Sexual Medicine found that women specifically reported more intense orgasms and increased sex drive.

- The 2017 study also found that marijuana use did not seem to cause erectile dysfunction or issues with sexual function in men or women.

While all that makes it sound like marijuana may actually be good for penises, there are some other correlative pieces of information that may counter this belief. Specifically, there are heart and cardiovascular issues that are linked to marijuana, which include:

- When smoked, it delivers many of the same negative effects as tobacco, which can damage the heart and lungs over time, in turn lowering stamina and blood flow to the penis.

- MJ can also increase systolic blood pressure, which is very closely linked to erectile dysfunction. High blood pressure constricts blood vessels, making it hard for blood to reach the penis to produce an erection.

- Marijuana was also seen to stimulate certain receptors in the penile tissue, which contributes to erectile dysfunction.

- Researchers in a 2010 study found a link between marijuana use and men’s difficulty in achieving orgasm.

Marijuana and Medication: Possible Interactions

There have been some reports of marijuana interacting with sildenafil, the active ingredient in Viagra, the most popular erectile dysfunction medication on the market. These effects are especially felt in the cardiovascular system. In one instance, a man had a heart attack while smoking weed and taking Viagra.

It's also important to note that there have been recorded drug interactions with psychiatric medications, asthma medications, blood thinners, antiretroviral medication, and alcohol when smoking or consuming marijuana.

Marijuana and Erectile Dysfunction: In Summary

Since marijuana has been legal only for a little while and in a limited number of states, there just isn’t enough definitive research on its effect on penis problems like erectile dysfunction. At this time, outside of drug interactions, marijuana has been seen as a mostly positive influence on male sexuality and pleasure, but without more clinical data, it’s still an unknown and has been linked to erectile dysfunction in more than one study. The final word: use caution, and if a man does find that he is experiencing erectile dysfunction, he should consult a doctor for a diagnosis.

No matter if a man tokes or not, he should always give his penis a little TLC. One of the best ways to do this is with a penis health oil (health professionals recommend Man 1 Man Oil, which has been clinically proven safe and mild for skin) that has been created expressly for delicate penile skin. This type of oil not only softens and tones skin but also contains blood flow boosters like vitamin C and L-arginine to keep erections up and the penis active for years to come.

Penis Problems: Can Exercising Reverse Erectile Dysfunction?

Erectile dysfunction (ED) is a typical penis problem for men, and it can affect men in many different ways. ED is the inability to achieve or maintain an erection. A host of things can cause it. The root can be physical, such as issues with low testosterone, heart disease, or obesity. Psychological issues like depression, performance anxiety, or sexual trauma can cause a temporary or permanent erection hiatus. Even emotional issues like relationship problems can cause a man’s love dart to be bullseye adverse. There are many ways to treat and even reverse the condition. Little blue pills, pumps, and other modalities are popular, but researchers have found that getting physical in the gym could lead to getting very physical in the bedroom. Get ready to increase penis sensitivity by pumping the penis up.

Get Daily Cardio

It’s no surprise that heart-healthy cardio is a must for men to restore penile function. A study printed in The American Journal of Cardiology shows that aerobic exercise may help improve ED. That should get the heart pumping!

ED is most commonly caused by complications with blood flow to the penis. Diabetes, high cholesterol, obesity, and vascular disease can negatively impact blood flow, leading up to an ED diagnosis for many men at some point in their lives. When a man adds aerobic exercise to his daily regimen, not only is he adding years to his life, but he is also boosting blood flow, adding powerful erections back into his intimate life.

While at least 30 minutes each day is recommended, start with three to four days each week. Do something enjoyable like hiking, biking, or swimming to ease into the habit, and then increase the number of exercise days and even minutes spent exercising, when it feels right.

Kick up the Kegels

It’s a well-known exercise for women, but it’s just as good for men, too. A study by the University of the West in the United Kingdom discovered that pelvic exercises helped 40 percent of men who have ED regain the same function they enjoyed before their penis problem started. Another 33.5 percent saw improvements in erectile function. The pelvic floor exercise they used? The Kegel. The mighty Kegel promotes sexual health and urinary continence in addition to giving men an erectile boost.

The Kegel strengthens many areas, but especially the bulbocavernosus muscle. This is the muscle that helps the penis engorge for the erection. It also thrusts during ejaculation and helps empty the urethra after peeing.

Find the muscles needed for performing the Kegel exercise by stopping mid-stream when urinating. Once successful, remember the muscles because these are the ones a man needs to strengthen. Perform a rep of Kegels by squeezing those muscles, holding for five seconds, and then relaxing. Repeat 10 times and perform twice each day, eventually working up to 20 reps, 3 times each day.

Kegels can be performed in any position, so feel free to get creative. Most men find that starting in a lying position at first helps them learn the muscles. Focus more on form than reps since isolating the proper muscles is so important for strength.

Enhance Results to Reverse This Penis Problem

In addition to exercise, a man can also use a daily oil to put a little more oomph into his Johnson. Try a penis health oil (health professionals recommend Man 1 Man Oil, which has been clinically proven safe and mild for skin) to boost blood flow and reinvigorate the penis. With unique ingredients like L-arginine and vitamin C, this special oil gets blood pumping to a man’s sexual center. It’s a great way to hit ED from all angles.

Anhedonic Ejaculation: One of the Most Frustrating Penis Problems

One of the benefits of reaching puberty is that a man at last gets to experience the incomparable feeling of a sexual orgasm. The body is finally ready to take him through arousal, erection, increased stimulation and all the way to an orgasmic ejaculation. And as long as penis health is maintained and there are no other penis problems (or health issues impacting penile performance), a man is primed for a multitude of orgasmic ejaculations throughout his life. Unfortunately, some men may experience something called anhedonic ejaculation, which can have a serious dampening effect on his enjoyment of sex, whether by himself or with a partner.

Not premature

Anhedonic ejaculation is not at all the same thing as premature ejaculation, which is one of the more common penis problems that a man may encounter. With premature ejaculation, a man finds that he releases his semen too early. In terms of clinical definitions, “too early” means that less than one minute passes between the penetration of the penis into the vagina and the release of semen. In practice, however, the length of time defining premature ejaculation depends upon the point of view of the man – and of his partner as well.

Anhedonic ejaculation is also different from other penis problems, such as retrograde ejaculation or anejaculation.

About anhedonic ejaculation

So then, what is anhedonic ejaculation? Simply put, this describes a situation in which a man ejaculates, but he doesn’t experience that wonderful orgasmic sensation that is associated with ejaculation. (Anhedonic essentially means “without pleasure.”)

It’s easy to see why this is one of the more frustrating penis problems. Although men engage in sex for a variety of reasons (including as a way to have a deeper connection and relationship with a loved one), one of the primary attractions of sex is the orgasm. Without that orgasm, a man may not have as much interest in sex. His libido may wane or his frustration at not being able to orgasm may bring about erectile issues. He may also feel somehow less a man if he can ejaculate but without pleasure.

Not ruined

It’s important to note that difference between anhedonic ejaculation and what is called a “ruined orgasm.” The former is a chronic issue, whereas the latter is something which may occur from time to time. With a ruined orgasm, the source of penile stimulation (a hand, a vagina, a mouth, etc.) is removed from the penis just slightly too soon; the penis is still so stimulated that it ejaculates, but without that little extra stimulation, there is a decrease in or an absence of pleasurable feeling.

Causes

Anhedonic ejaculation occurs when the brain stops releasing a sufficient amount of dopamine during ejaculation. This can be caused by several factors, including use of certain antidepressants. Low testosterone levels are also often blamed, and depression or other mental health issues can also bring about this condition. Some men who suffer spinal cord injuries may be more likely to develop anhedonic ejaculation.

Men with anhedonic ejaculation should consult with a doctor to help pinpoint the likely cause of the problem. When that is discovered, the doctor can advise what steps to take for treatment.

Penis problems such as anhedonic ejaculation can be difficult to solve, but success is likely to be aided when the penis is otherwise in good health. Daily application of a top drawer penis health oil (health professionals recommend Man 1 Man Oil, which is clinically proven mild and safe for skin) can be helpful in this regard. When searching, look for an oil that include L-arginine and L-carnitine. The former is an amino acid which boosts nitric oxide production and helps keep penile blood vessels open. The latter has neuroprotective properties which can be valuable in helping to maintain proper penis sensation.

Got Penis Problems? Here are Five Habits to Kick to Improve Penis Health

Noticing things are acting up a bit in the wrong way down below? It could be a lack of boner or maybe a dwindling of desire. Perhaps a man can get it up, but he can’t release to get it back down. No matter the penis problem, there are a few habits a man can turn around to get his penis health back in balance. Here are a few everyday habits that can cause a limp lover and the ways a man can remedy it.

Habit #1: Chowing Down on Fried Foods

Any man who wants a powerful erection needs to ban drive-thru’s (don’t do walk up either). Foods that are high in cholesterol and trans fats, like those sinful pork tenderloin sandwiches and fries, can put a stopper on blood flow to the area causing a significant penis problem. These types of foods can cause inflammation in the blood vessels, which inhibits blood movement to a man’s joint.

Fix it: Eat a diet full of protein, healthy carbs, fruits, veggies, and good fats. Not only will it make a man feel better and be healthier overall, but it will also make him “strong like bull” in the cajones. Make fried foods an occasional cheat, not a habitual meal to keep penis health high.

Habit #2: Lay off the Sauce

Every man has heard of the infamous penis problem: whiskey dick, the ill-famed deflation of the penis due to the imbibing mass quantities of alcohol (not whiskey specifically). Whiskey dick can also go the other way; a man can get an erection but just can’t make it to the goal line, leaving him unsatisfied and his partner probably pretty sore.

Those are short-term issues though, right? Wrong! Over time, alcoholism can lead a man to lack of interest in making the love and erectile dysfunction. Also, drinking can impair judgment which can lead to pregnancies and STD’s.

On the flip-side, men who keep their drinking to a minimum have stronger erections and more intense orgasms.

Fix it: Know when to say when. The CDC recommends a man have no more two drinks each day. If it’s too hard to do solo, find a program to help.

Habit #3: Getting too Little REM (not the band)

Not only does getting too little sleep affect a man’s penis, but it also affects his demeanor, and no one wants to have sex with a Grumpy Gus. Clinically, lack of sleep can reduce testosterone which is critical for knocking those boots. Not getting enough restorative sleep then decreases libido and can cause erectile dysfunction.

Fix it: It’s pretty straightforward – get those seven to eight hours of sleep each night to avoid this penis problem. No excuses. Turn off screens an hour (minimum) before bedtime and relax instead to ensure a nice transition from a busy day into a blissful slumber.

Habit #4: Loving One’s Self a Little Too Hard or Too Much

Masturbation is a healthy and utterly normal practice among humans around the world. Excessive self-pleasure, however, can desensitize the penis and result in erectile dysfunction. It can also cause a man to be less responsive when he engages intimately with a partner because he is so used to the tension and rapid stroking of his hand.

Fix it: Keep masturbation in a healthy zone. If it gets harder and harder to orgasm while masturbating or with a partner, it may mean a man is getting in too much alone time in. Take a knee and let the penis resensitize. If it’s become an addiction, seek professional help.

Habit #5: Getting Clipper Crazy

First of all, kudos on the manscaping! It’s a wonderful way to keep the penis fresh and safeguard sensitivity (not to mention it makes everything appear a bit bigger). However, according to a study published in JAMA Dermatology, it was found that of the 66 percent of men who said they groom the downstairs, 26 percent experienced an injury related to sheering the sheep. Too much grooming the private parts can actually lead to bacterial and fungal infections, cuts, and razor burn; all of which are definitely not fun penis problems to have.

Fix it: Find a method of hair removal that works and be very careful when doing it to preserve penis health. Also, don’t weed-wack too often to keep the skin in fine form. Even better, use a restorative specially formulated penis health creme (health professionals recommend Man 1 Man Oil, which has been clinically proven safe and mild for skin) to heal and soothe the delicate penile skin. It’s calming and promotes elasticity which makes skin stronger and more flexible.

Some Penis Problems Can Tell a Man Some Things About Himself

What sits on two magic eight balls and can tell a man his health horoscope? His penis. It is the ultimate divining rod as to what is going on in a man's body. Every bend, curve, bump, or out-of-the-ordinary actions can be telling a man that all is not right in Denmark and that he needs to see the doctor. Of course, not everything is serious. In fact, many things can be cleared up or managed. Let’s kick it off with what penis problems may be telling a man.

Penis of a Thousand Colors

If it’s light pink, it's likely flushed from recent activity or heat. Post-coital penis discoloration can also be temporarily red, blue, or purple until the blood pools out (which can take a minute). If it stays or worsens, it could be an allergy (like to latex or to laundry detergent), or it could be a penile fracture which requires professional help fast.

Purple discoloration can be a host of things (including the above). Many times, a purple discoloration is simply a bruise. However, if that bruise starts to pool blood, go to the hospital immediately.

If a red, itchy, smelly, uncomfortable mess has taken up residence on the head of the penis, it could be balanitis, an infection caused by smegma overgrowth. This happens when a man lets his hygiene go. Although this seems like just a penis problem, it goes deeper. If a man isn’t taking care of himself, he should ask himself why, as it could indicate issues with mental health.

The Penis Has a Pretty Noticeable Bend

There are some curves a man can’t lean into. When his penis looks like Gonzo’s nose, it’s one of those times. A buildup of scar tissue from minor and major traumas over a man’s lifetime can cause the penis to curve and shorten and results in Peyronie’s disease once that curve is greater than 15 percent (though some experts say 20 percent). Treatment is possible, but there is a high instance of erectile dysfunction or pain during sex. It can lead to relationship issues and self-esteem issues, as well as chronic pain.

Bumps That Go Bump in the Night

There are many bumps to consider. If they are white, yellow, or reddish, and they don’t hurt or itch, they may be Fordyce spots. If so, they can disappear on their own in a few years. Bumps can also be acne, ingrown hairs, or folliculitis, which can all be managed well, and frequently, a man can get rid of them.

Of course, some bumps on the penis or testicles can be indicators of cancer. Men should perform self-examinations once per week in the shower so if cancer is detected, it can be caught early and, often, be put into remission.

A Less-Healthy Cauliflower-Shaped Growth

If a man sees cauliflower in his Calvin’s, it’s most likely genital warts. Welcome to the HPV club. This communicable penis problem will not go away on its own; warts must be either burned, frozen, lasered, or surgically taken off. HPV is chronic and will never go away; however, future breakouts are less likely. What men need to watch out for is penile cancer, as HPV can sometimes lead to it.

Tiny, Transparent Blisters

Seeing little blisters on the big boy? Are they especially tender and itchy? If they burst and scab over, it’s herpes, another communicable sexually transmitted infection. Herpes is another virus that claims squatter’s rights in a man’s body – it never leaves. A man needs to manage the condition with antiviral meds to keep future breakouts at bay. Herpes can affect many areas of a man’s life, such as his physical health as well as his social interactions, sex life, and his feelings about himself.

An excellent way to keep avoidable penis problems at bay is to regularly self-examine, have a consistent hygiene regimen, and always practice safe sex. Savvy men take penis health a step further by using a specially formulated penis health creme (health professionals recommend Man 1 Man Oil, which has been clinically proven safe and mild for skin) daily to keep the penis fresh, healthy, and supple. Using a cocktail of powerful penis-boosting vitamins and nutrients in a shea butter base, this crème boosts blood flow and protects against bacteria, infection, and nerve damage, all while increasing elasticity and sensitivity. It’s the perfect way for a man to care for his member.

Common Penis Disorders Every Man Should Know About

More than 50 percent of men suffer from some sort of penis disorder. However, it’s not like you’d see men at a neighborhood barbeque talking about them like, “Hey, Richard! You know, lately I’ve been having a lot of trouble retracting my foreskin. Ever happen to you? What’s your trick?” Talking about this subject is actually not really socially accepted.

Until society changes and men are freely discussing their droopy testicles or issues with ejaculation, this article will just have to do. Here’s a list of five of the most common penis problems men have and how to blaze a path forward by learning more about them, preventing them when possible, and (hopefully) telling a friend.

Penis Disorder #1: Erectile Dysfunction (ED)

Okay, so if men talked about any penis disorder, it’s most likely this one. Erectile dysfunction (ED) is the failure to get and maintain an erection. ED has taken center stage over the last 15 to 20 years thanks to more open discussion about sex and the miracle of the little blue pill that “cures” it. Some studies suggest that ED affects nearly one-half of men over 40. Causes of ED can include:

- High blood pressure

- Diseases that affect blood flow

- Lifestyle choices such as smoking, drinking too much alcohol, and sedentary living

- Stress, depression, and performance anxiety

- Obesity

- Diabetes

- Penile injury

Treatment should begin at the root cause of ED, which can reverse it in many cases. Medication can also be used to stimulate erections.

Penis Disorder #2: Priapism

Going hand-in-hand (kind of) with ED, a priapism is an erection that persists for 4 or more hours. It happens when blood in the penis cannot drain, leaving it engorged. Untreated, this painful occurrence can go on for days if not treated and can have serious consequences.

Things that can cause priapism include:

- Medications for depression, blood pressure, and sexual performance enhancement

- Genital injury

- Blood diseases like sickle cell anemia and leukemia

- Spinal cord issues

- Anesthesia

- Drug and alcohol abuse – cocaine especially

Some men can relieve this simply with an ice pack on the penis and perineum. If that doesn’t work, medical treatment is required and is something of a nightmare for men. A small needle is put into the penis to drain the blood.

Penis Disorders #3 & #4: Phimosis and Paraphimosis

This is a two-for disorder since they are so closely related. Phimosis is a penis disorder in which the foreskin of the penis is so tight around the head of the penis that it will not retract. Paraphimosis is kind of like the opposite – it happens when the retracted foreskin won’t return to its original position around the head of the penis.

Phimosis generally happens as a result of infection, scar tissue, or balanitis, or it can be something a man is just born with. There are several ways to treat phimosis, which may include:

- Light, slow stretching of the foreskin over a prescribed amount of time

- Sometimes medication is applied to the foreskin during that manual stretching for additional effect

- Circumcision

- Preputioplasty – a procedure that separates the foreskin from the glans, or head, of the penis

Paraphimosis can be caused by an injury or sexual activity. Paraphimosis is very serious and must be attended to medically as quickly as humanly possible. Apply ice immediately and head to the hospital. It’s likely that surgery will be the most likely option to remedy this penis problem.

Penis Disorder #5: Problems With Ejaculation

There are 3 main types of ejaculation issues. They are:

- Premature ejaculation – This happens when a man ejaculates immediately before or too soon into penetration. This can be caused by a lot of things. Sometimes not having sex for a prolonged period will cause heightened sensation that results in it. Other causes include performance anxiety, stress, sexual repression (intentionally doing it quickly due to shame), or depression.

- Delayed ejaculation – This is the opposite of premature ejaculation. This happens when a man either takes a long time to orgasm or he just can’t release. This is most colorfully known as “Whisky Dick.” Causes include alcohol abuse, psychological issues, relationship problems, medication, or other chronic health problems.

- Retrograde ejaculation – The most astrological-sounding of all the ejaculation issues, retrograde ejaculation happens when a man orgasms and instead of exiting the building, it goes back into the bladder. This is most often associated with men who have nerve damage as a result of diabetes.

Men with any of the above ejaculation issues should head to the doctor for help and referrals, if needed. Treatment can include surgery, medication, therapy, and lifestyle modification.

Ways to Help Prevent Penis Disorders

There are some things, like genetics, that a man can’t change. However, a man can control everything else (for the most part). Staying on top of anything different or worrisome and heading to a doctor as soon as it’s noticed is key, as is getting an annual checkup. Also, try for weekly self-exams in the shower. Practice a healthy lifestyle and adhere to happy penis hygiene regimens.

Finally, put a cherry on it with a specially formulated penis health creme (health professionals recommend Man 1 Man Oil, which has been clinically proven safe and mild for skin) to nourish, protect, and strengthen the penis. Crèmes that include numerous vitamins and essential amino acids can ensure that the penis will retain its elasticity and sensitivity and be free of infection-causing bacteria. Crèmes expressly created for the penis should also include protection against premature aging and peripheral nerve damage, which can lead to penis disorders.

Penis Problems and Some Solutions

When a man has his health, he’s happy, and when he has good penis health, his penis is happy. That should be the end of the story, but unfortunately, sometimes penis problems arise that can get in the way of desired penis happiness. Some penis problems are more complicated than others, and some more distressing. Following are some penis problems a man might encounter, along with some possible solutions to those problems.

- A sore penis. This happens to just about every guy at some point, especially when he’s been sexually overactive – either with a partner or with himself. Due to the cause of the soreness, it’s one of the more desirable problems to have, and one many men like to boast about. But when genuinely sore, it can be a bit of a pain. Solutions include giving the little buddy a rest for a day or two, putting something cool (but not too cold) on it, and rubbing a soothing crème into it.

- A smelly penis. Sadly, this is one of the most common penis problems. We say sadly because persistent and heavy penis odor is one of the most common reasons why a potential partnership gets derailed. Look, guys, everyone knows that the equipment gets hot and sweaty, so take steps to get rid of the odor. Solutions? Try washing more often, and especially right before going on a date. If possible, do another quick wash right before unveiling it; even just using a wet wipe on it can help. Also, using an appropriate penis health crème can help prevent penis odor.

- A hair trigger penis. Guys really want to sexually satisfy their partners, and ideally they’d like to do so from penetrative sex. But premature ejaculation often means that a partner leaves unsatisfied, or may need to be further stimulated via oral or manual sex (and there’s nothing wrong with that). Men with premature ejaculation issues should consult with a professional to discuss possible treatments.

- Stubborn foreskin. Intact men sometimes experience phimosis and/or paraphimosis. In the first, the foreskin is unable to easily retract from the glans. In the second, the foreskin has successfully retracted, but then cannot get back to its position covering the glans. Often the issue in both cases is a swollen glans, and treating the infection or other cause of that can rectify the problem. Stretching the foreskin, perhaps using an appropriate crème, may also help.

- Urinary tract infection. Although somewhat more common among women, many men do indeed get urinary tract infections. They are just what they sound like – bacteria or another agent gets in the system that processes and disposes of urine, leading to pain, swelling, and inflammation somewhere along the line. Checking with a doctor to determine the cause of the infection is best, as the doc can then prescribe the most appropriate treatment for dealing with this issue.

- Sexually transmitted infections. Men with multiple partners and/or those who have sex without using a condom are at a much higher risk of contracting a sexually transmitted infection, or STI. Checking with a doctor promptly for a diagnosis and treatment is absolutely essential.

Many penis problems have solutions that are easy to come by or involve easily accessible products, such as daily application of a superior penis health creme (health professionals recommend Man 1 Man Oil, which is clinically proven mild and safe for skin). As mentioned above, penis odor can be diminished by using an appropriate crème, that is, one with vitamin A, the anti-bacterial properties of which fight odor at its root. When a penis is sore, often a crème with moisturizers such as shea butter and vitamin E can provide superficial relief while keeping the penis skin supple and hydrated.

Don’t Ignore These Eight Penis Problems

Most men are very well acquainted with their own penis. However, just like other relationships in a man’s life, there are always some unknowns. Most especially, when it comes to penises at least, little things can pop up that can be surprising and even a bit worrisome. Some of these issues can be health related, and most can be seen physically. Let’s talk about eight penis problems that a man shouldn’t ignore to maintain optimal penis health, all which require a trip to the doctor.

Penis Problem #1: Lean into the Curve

An erection with a subtle bend is completely normal. However, when that bend is 20 percent or greater, it could be Peyronie’s disease. Peyronie’s is an accumulation of hardened scar tissue that when left untreated, could lead to pain during sex, a more dramatic penis curvature, and a heightened risk for a broken penis. Treatment options vary, depending on how severe a man’s case is.

Penis Problem #2: Patch Problems

There’s a new accessory on the head of the penis, but it’s definitely not a desirable one. It’s reddish and oddly velvety. If it’s painful, it could just be a bit of chafed skin; however, if it’s not painful and a man hasn’t had sex lately, it could be a sign of penile cancer. Get to a doctor ASAP. When caught early, it can be taken care of easily. Ignore it for too long and part or all of the unit may require removal. Is that enough of a motivator for a man? You bet!

Penis Problem #3: Is It Shark Week?

There’s blood in the water, and it has nothing to do with Jaws or that male time of the month. It could be an indicator of several things, such as kidney stones, an enlarged prostate, or bladder cancer. Get that checked out immediately.

Penis Problem #4: Bumpy Moments

Feeling hard, painless bumps on the testicles? It could be testicular cancer, which is most common for men between the ages of 20 and 35. When caught early, a whopping 99 percent of instances are curable. Be sure to check the entire genital area monthly to make sure the member has the all clear.

Penis Problem #5: Invasion of the Discharge Monster

Noticing some discharge and a fiery peeing experience? It could be urethritis. This happens when the tube between the bladder and the end of the penis gets inflamed. The most common cause of urethritis is gonorrhea and non-gonococcal urethritis. It is seen most often in younger men, particularly men who are intimate with other men. Get tested immediately and do not have sex until a doctor gives the okay.

Penis Problem #6: Houston, We Have a Problem

The trouser rocket is not ready for takeoff. This is probably one of the most known penis problems, probably thanks to a little blue pill. Erectile dysfunction happens when a man is unable to get or sustain an erection long enough to have intercourse over 25 percent of the time. Lots of things can contribute to erectile dysfunction, including circulation problems, diabetes, and low levels of testosterone. Other lifestyle-related issues can also contribute to it.

Penis Problem 7: Lumpy Little Guy

Is the road a little lumpy down the old penis highway? It may be genital warts. Caused by HPV, they can be removed by freezing, surgery, or laser treatments. The underlying HPV, however, is still incurable.

Penis Problem #8: A Bit of Spotted Dick

No, it’s not the very interesting British delicacy, it’s a spotty penis. It could be an allergic reaction. If a man is feeling pain, it could be an STI like genital herpes or syphilis. It may also be a reaction to prescription medication if a man has recently added something new. If the pain lasts more than two weeks, see a doctor.

How can a man avoid penis problems? One of the first ways is to avoid risky sex and make sure to practice safe sex with condoms or other barrier methods. A man should also perform a monthly self-exam to get ahead of any new bumps, lumps, or oddities that may arise on his member. A man should also have a daily cleansing and penis care ritual. This includes thoroughly cleansing and rinsing the member, as well as giving it time to air dry and “stretch.” For those men looking to really improve penis health, a specially formulated penis health creme (health professionals recommend Man 1 Man Oil, which has been clinically proven safe and mild for skin) should be used to lock in moisture and keep skin healthy. It should also include vitamins A, B, C, and D, to protect and rejuvenate the penis.

Hypnotherapy and Erectile Dysfunction: Savior or Snake Oil?

Erectile dysfunction (ED) is a sort of plague upon men. It seems like it comes out of nowhere and there is no hope in sight. This is not the case for most men, but it can feel like it. There are many purported treatments out there, promising a rocket-ready dong, from penis pumps to little blue pills to special lotions and potions. The new kid on the block of this rising (no pun intended) industry is hypnotherapy. Let’s explore how, if at all, hypnotherapy is helping men get rid of this penis problem.

What is Erectile Dysfunction?

Erectile dysfunction is when, at least 25 percent of the times it’s attempted, a man cannot get or sustain an erection. ED is a chronic condition, meaning it cannot be cured, but can be effectively treated. Men who experience occasional erectile dysfunction should monitor it, but it’s usually a result of stress, diet, or sometimes illness. ED also looks different for every man.

What Causes Erectile Dysfunction?

In order to ascertain if hypnotherapy might be an option for ED treatment. While there are no 100% known causes for erectile dysfunction, there are many conditions and issues related to ED. These include:

- Mental distress

- Depression

- Diabetes

- Obesity

- Anxiety

- High Blood Pressure

- High Cholesterol

- Heart Disease

- Body Issues/Dysmorphia

- Stroke

- MS

- Cancer

The Brain and Erectile Dysfunction

All shown above, there are several mental and emotional health issues which have been related to ED. In fact, erections technically begin in the brain, so mental or emotional issues can stop the process in its tracks. Some mental issues that have been linked to erectile dysfunction are:

- Lack of intimacy with a partner

- Past negative sexual experiences, up to an including rape

- Feelings of shame and/or guilt in relation to sex

- Daily life stressors

- Recalling a past incidence of ED

Hypnotherapy and Penis Problems

According to Psychology Today, hypnotherapy is “an adjunct form of therapy, used along with other forms of psychological or medical treatment, there are many applications. Hypnotherapy can be used to treat anxiety, phobias, substance abuse including tobacco, sexual dysfunction, undesirable spontaneous behaviors, and bad habits.” It has been used to treat erectile dysfunction that has a root in mental or emotional health. The truth is that most people can experience a range of benefits utilizing the stress and relaxation techniques used in hypnotherapy.

Men who believe there may be an emotional or mental root cause to their ED should find a trusted, licensed hypnotherapiust in their area. It can be done in person and via video-conferenceing. Often times, the therapist will teach self-hypnosis exercises for the patient to use on his own.

DIY Hypnosis

DIY guy? Here’s a quick technique to do some self-hypnosis:

1) Close the eyes and relax them. If that’s a struggle, use an eye pillow to keep them weighted.

2) Do five minutes of even, relaxed breathing. Focus on the sound of the breath and pushing out stress on the exhale.

3) Imagine your partner in an intimate way. Hold that thought.

4) In tandem, imainge you have a magical lever you can pull to increase blood flow to your penis. Just keep slowly turning it up while engaging in your partner fantasy.

5) Visualization is the key to making it work. Hold the vision and after a time, recognize how your member has reacted.

Next time you are in a sexual situation, relax, breathe, and mentally pull the lever to engage your erection. Like all things it takes practice. It’s also advantageous to see a doctor to rule out other common factors.

Healthy Penis, Healthy Erection

In addition to dealing with the root cause of ED, men who struggle with erectile dysfunction should be sure to enage in positive penis health strategies. These include such things as a healthy diet full of a wide array of vitamins, minerals, protein, and healthy fats, as well as perform at least 30 minutes of cardiovascular activity each day to keep blood flow moving. Adequate sleep and stress reduction are also important elements of penis health. Finally, a proper hygiene regimen is key to keeping the member in great shape. After washing and drying, use a specially formulated penis health creme (health professionals recommend Man 1 Man Oil, which has been clinically proven safe and mild for skin) to promote blood flow for stronger, long-lasting erections. These special creams are created precisely for penis problems and include vitamins such as A, B, D, and E.. In addition, men should use a product containing vitamin C as it boosts blood flow to the penis, increasing the chances of an erection. Additionally, look for crèmes with L-Arginine, a powerful vasodilator stimulating increased blood flow, leading to a rock-hard erection.

Erectile Dysfunction: What It Is and How Doctors Diagnose It

Erectile dysfunction (ED) affects many men at different points in their life. While it seems to be discussed ad nauseum, not all men really understand erectile dysfunction. Sure, the common knowledge is that it’s a penis problem and can be easily cured with a little blue pill. However, that’s not the truth of the matter. A lot of times, ED goes deeper into a man’s physical, emotional, and mental health.

Erectile Dysfunction Explained

The first point that needs to be made about ED is that it’s a persistent problem. This means that if at least 25 percent of the time a man cannot get or maintain an erection when he “summons” it, he may have erectile dysfunction. It is a chronic condition, which implies that it is consistent and, while it can be treated, it cannot, for simplicity’s sake, be cured.

Let’s also take a moment to debunk a common myth: men of any age can have erectile dysfunction. It is not something that only affects older men. That also means that not all older men have ED. However, the risk of getting ED increases significantly as a man ages.

Finally, it must be understood that erectile dysfunction doesn’t look the same for every man. Some can’t get an erection at all, while others can get an erection occasionally. Some men can get an erection but can’t maintain it. There’s a lot of range to ED, but that also means there’s a wide range for testing and treatment.

What Factors Cause Erectile Dysfunction?

To understand the diagnosis process for ED, it’s important to understand that it can manifest due to a wide range of causes. For some men, it’s all psychological. Men who are depressed, feeling anxiety, or having body issues can have ED. The most common factor, however, is men who have a disease may be experiencing erectile dysfunction as a symptom of their initial or root disease. This includes diseases and afflictions such as:

- Diabetes

- Obesity

- High blood pressure

- High cholesterol

- Heart disease

- Stroke

- Multiple sclerosis

- Cancer

Erectile Dysfunction: Tests for Diagnosis

There are many options for diagnosing erectile dysfunction. The most common are:

1) Physical Exam. It makes sense to inspect the equipment for any bruising, excessive scar tissue, lumps, or an excessive curve in the penis, which could be Peyronie’s disease, and to see what the sensation is like during the exam. This exam will include both the testicles and the penis.

2) Blood Tests. A blood sample may be drawn to check for signs of heart disease, diabetes, low testosterone levels, and other health conditions.

3) Urine test. Like blood tests, this test is also used to look for ED-related illnesses such as diabetes.

4) Psychological Exam. The doctor may ask questions to screen for depression, anxiety, or other mental health issues.

5) Ultrasound. The most physically invasive of the tests, ultrasound is performed by a specialist. He or she will hold a wand-like device over the blood vessels that supply blood to the penis. A video image of the test will be given to the treating physician for review to see if blood flow is the issue. This test can also be done in concert with injections of medication into the penis, which cause the stimulation of blood flow and production of an erection.

After testing, the doctor will make a diagnosis and a specific treatment plan. Most times, erections will return with treatment.

Men who suffer from, or believe they may suffer from, ED may want to try a specially formulated penis health creme (health professionals recommend Man 1 Man Oil, which has been clinically proven safe and mild for skin) to promote blood flow for stronger, long-lasting erections. These special creams are made specifically for penis problems and concerns, and they contain vitamins such as A, B, D, and E, which provide healthy cellular function. In addition, men should use a product containing vitamin C, as it boosts blood flow to the penis to assist in hardness and strength. Additionally, look for creams with L-arginine, a powerful vasodilator that promotes increased blood flow, which leads to sturdier firmness.

Does Semen Variation Indicate Penis Problems?

Penis problems are something that men definitely want to avoid. In many cases, spending a proper amount of time on penis health will help keep away many common penis problems, such as persistent odor or rashes. But what about when a man notices that there has been a change in his semen? Does this indicate some potential penis problems that he should be concerned about?

Normal semen

In order to determine what is a change or variation in his semen, it helps to know a little bit about semen in the first place. First, semen is not produced solely in one part of the body. Instead, several body parts make different components of the semen – the seminal vesicles being responsible for some 60-65%, the prostate for 30% or so, and the testicles and epididymis joining in for the final 5% or thereabouts.

Semen tends to be somewhat thick, at least compared to other fluids like water. But the thickness is likely to vary from one man to the next, largely as a result of diet. Most men know from masturbation what their general semen thickness is and can use that as a guide to determining if there is any change in thickness. The typical color is also usually white or greyish-white.

Color variation

Sometimes a man may notice there is some color variation in his semen. What is typically a distinct white now has a tinge of another color. What might this mean?

When semen takes on a reddish, brownish or pinkish hue, it frequently means that there is some blood in the semen. Many men understandably find this alarming, but in many cases it is not a serious matter. Often it simply means that blood vessel has developed a small leak and this often resolves itself in a few days. However, if there is a large presence of blood in the semen or if it continues beyond two or three days, a physician should definitely be consulted, as this may indicate more severe trauma or an infection.

Sometimes semen becomes noticeably yellow in coloration, which can result from several factors. For instance, if a man has not ejaculated in quite some time, there may be a large number of expired sperm in the semen, which accounts for the yellowness. It may also mean a bit of urine has become mixed in. More serious causes include a urinary tract infection or a sexually-transmitted infection (STI), both of which require a doctor’s intervention. Greenish semen may also be due to an STI, although a green color may also be due to a problem in the prostate. Again, a doctor should be consulted in this case.

Volume variation

Men who ejaculate frequently often find that they are ejaculating smaller volumes than usual, simply because the body has not had enough time to replace ejaculated semen. If frequency is not the reason, there may be blockage or other issues, which require a doctor visit.

Sometimes the volume is the same but the thickness varies. Again, thinner semen may be due to frequent ejaculations, but diet or low sperm counts are other options. Diet is often a factor behind thicker, lumpier semen; often it means a man needs to take in more water. If the thickness varies for an extended period of time, consult a doctor.

Semen variation can sometimes help a man spot some potential penis problems. He can better manage such issues if he daily applies a superior penis health creme (health professionals recommend Man 1 Man Oil, which is clinically proven mild and safe for skin). The penis needs to attain sufficient intake of vitamins, so it’s best to locate a crème which includes vitamins A, B5, C, D, and E; topical application of these vitamins via a crème provides a more direct benefit to the penis. In addition, a crème with L-carnitine can take advantage of this ingredient’s neuroprotective qualities in help insure against loss of penis sensation due to overuse or rough handling.

7 Common Penis Problems and How to Solve Them

Even the best-behaved penis has issues from time to time. However, things happen, and penis problems pop up. Here are seven common problems men have with their penises and how to solve them.

#1: Painful Urination

Painful urination is a very common penis problem. There are several potential reasons for painful urination such as:

- Urinary tract infection

- Prostate infection

- Kidney stones

- Medication sensitivity

- STDs

- Allergic reactions

If a man is suffering from painful urination, it’s best to see a doctor as soon as possible to get a diagnosis since most causes will need medical intervention.

#2: Delayed ejaculation

Most men pride themselves on how long they can last sexually. However, if a man fails to ejaculate after 30 minutes or more, they may have either a temporary or chronic case of delayed ejaculation. Several things can cause this phenomenon including some things as:

- Stress

- Depression

- Anxiety

- Diabetic neuropathy

- Urinary Tract Infection

- Hypothyroidism

- Prostate surgery

- Damage to the nerves of the spinal cord or pelvic area

- Medications

- Alcohol

If delayed ejaculation is a problem that happens more than once, it’s a good idea to see a doctor for a consultation. If it is mental health related, consider seeing a counselor

#3: Premature ejaculation

The opposite of delayed ejaculation, premature ejaculation is a penis problem that afflicts many a man throughout his life. Premature ejaculation is considered ejaculation with minimal penetration or immediately after penetration.

Possible treatment for premature ejaculation includes sexual therapy, psychotherapy, and topical or oral medications. There are also special exercises men can do to help prolong sensual contact before release.

#4: Peyronie’s disease

Peyronie’s disease is a condition in which a man’s penis bends too far to the left or right, generally 20 degrees or more. This makes erections painful and can also make urination uncomfortable. Peyronie’s disease is the result of inflammation and accumulation of abnormal scar tissue around the erectile tissue. It’s said that Peyronie’s disease affects twenty percent of men, mostly over the age of 40.

Treatment of Peyronie’s can include topical creams, injections, implants, penis pumps, traction, and surgery. Treatment results vary, but the pain usually disappears after the first 6 months post-diagnosis.

#5: Penile discharge

Discharge from the penis usually indicates inflammation of the urethra. This discharge can be caused by bacteria, viruses, and yeasts which infiltrate the urethra and cause inflammation and discharge. The discharge can be clear or bloody, thick or thin, and odorless or funky.

The most common reason for discharge is sexually transmitted diseases such as chlamydia, gonorrhea, mycoplasma, trichomoniasis, and ureaplasma. Since medical intervention is required for all conditions, refrain from sex and see a doctor immediately for diagnosis.

#6: Jock itch

Jock itch is a common penis problem that affects men, both jocks and non-jocks alike. Jock itch is caused by a fungus or bacteria overgrowth in the groin. It causes itching, pain, odor, and a rash and is highly contagious.

Treating jock itch is pretty easy. Keep the groin area clean and dry and use an anti-fungal cream for two to four weeks. If it continues for over four weeks, see a doctor for a prescription.

#7: Erectile dysfunction

From time to time, it’s normal for a man to have trouble getting hard. However, if it’s a more frequent occurrence, it might be ED. It can be caused by several factors including age, medication, medical conditions, or penile trauma.

It can be treated quite effectively using medications, sex therapy, supplements, and penile implants. That said, if ED is caused by a medical condition, it’s most important to treat the root cause before treating the symptoms.

One of the best ways to prevent penis problems is to perform a daily penis health regimen. This should include a thorough cleaning of the penis every day followed by application of a specially formulated penis health creme (health professionals recommend Man 1 Man Oil, which has been clinically proven safe and mild for skin). These special crèmes contain natural ingredients for moisture like Shea butter and vitamin E. They also contain other vitamins like A, B, C, and D to which provide antibacterial protection, cellular strength, promote strong erections, and contribute to overall penis health.
