Penis Sensitivity May Be Affected by a “Death Grip”

Penis sensitivity is a delicate matter for some men, and one which may be impacted by the frequent use of the so-called "death grip" while masturbating or being masturbated by others. Maintaining the proper level of penis sensitivity is crucial, as a loss of sensation in the penis can severely impede the pleasure that is associated with orgasm in the male. Even those who take pains to ensure good penis health otherwise may experience a loss of sensation if the grip used while stroking the penis is too intense.

Penis sensitivity

The penis is designed to provide maximum pleasure during orgasm. Whether circumcised or intact, the organ is filled with highly sensitive nerve endings that react strongly to touch and which are the core by which sexual pleasure is achieved. This literally "sensation-al" set-up is a masterpiece of design which benefits men in a very tangible manner.

Naturally, men want to make sure that nothing happens to damage this system, as that has the potential to alter the way in which signals to the nerves are received and processed, which in turn can lessen the pleasure felt during sexual activity. That’s where the death grip may come into play.

Death grip

While there are numerous ways to masturbate, the majority of men typically masturbate by wrapping one hand around the penis and running the resulting fist up and down the penis to create a degree of friction that feels good. Sometimes a man will stroke the entire length of the shaft; other times a man may focus most of the stroking on the glans instead. Some men may also vary the intensity of the grip that they have on the penis, tightening it at times and loosening it at others.

Often, however, a man may use a death grip on his penis - that is, a grip that is intensely tight. This can feel very good and can often produce a very satisfying orgasm. However, when a death grip is used too frequently, it can cause some damage to the peripheral nerve endings in the penis. This affects their sensitivity, so that it doesn’t transmit pleasurable sensations as readily. In such cases, a man may respond by making his grip even tighter. This increased tightness will bring about a more heightened sensation, but it will also cause more nerve damage. Thus is born a spiral - stroking the penis with tighter grip that causes increasing damage and therefore requires an even tighter grip - that ultimately can bring about a very significant loss of sensation.

This loss can be problematic also when engaging in partner sex. If there is a significant loss of penis sensitivity, it may make it more difficult to obtain or maintain an erection, or it may mean that the intercourse does not produce an ejaculation or as intense an orgasm as desired.

Tips

The most obvious recourse for a man who has experienced a loss of penis sensitivity due to use of a death grip while masturbating is to loosen the grip. Given healing time, sensitivity often returns, so stopping masturbating altogether for a period of time may help. So can switching to a different form of masturbating, such as rubbing a scarf or other piece of sheer material across the penis or masturbating by lying face down on the bed and simulating intercourse.

Loss of penis sensitivity from overuse of a death grip (or from other causes) can also be helped by regular and consistent use of a first class penis health crème (health professionals recommend Man1 Man Oil). In order to be effective, the crème must contain acetyl L carnitine, which has neuroprotective properties which enable it to prevent and soothe peripheral nerve damage in the penis. Reduced sensitivity can have a negative impact on penile firmness, so using a creme with both L-arginine and vitamin C is also beneficial. L-arginine is an amino acid that helps in the process by which blood flows more readily to the penis. Vitamin C is important for its role in collagen production and its impact on firmness in the organ. Use of a wisely-chosen crème can be a boon for those suffering effects from the death grip.

Manual Stimulation in the Workplace: Why So Many Men Do It

Not surprisingly, there aren’t statistics kept on manual stimulation in the workplace, but anecdotal evidence suggests that this is an activity which has been on the rise in recent years. Behind closed office doors and in men’s room stalls, more guys are more frequently enjoying some pleasurable "me" time to make the 9-to-5 routine more enjoyable. Since manual stimulation can have a positive impact on manhood health, this is a welcome trend - but the reasons for men taking matters into their own hands while at work go beyond keeping their members healthy.

Why an increase?
We lack scientifically valid studies to tell us why more men and giving themselves a personal job while on the job, but some reasonable guesses can be made. First, there’s simply the fact that manual stimulation has become more acceptable. It’s still not something that is typically discussed over Sunday dinner with the folks, but people are much more open about the fact that manual stimulation is a normal and healthy activity.

Another likely reason, of course, is the internet. While many companies use firewalls to keep their employees from accessing adult sites, some do not - and many men find ways around firewalls. (It should be noted, of course, that using company computers for viewing adult media can have serious consequences in terms of employment. It is not recommended - but it’s also a fact that many men do indeed watch adult media at their desks.)

Stress
But an even more important reason may simply be that manual stimulation is a normal and healthy response to the kind of tension that is all too prevalent in the workplace. For many men, there is great pressure to perform at a high level at all times while on the clock. Whether an administrative assistant for a perfectionist boss, an auto mechanic dealing with a long line of cars needing attention or a high finance wizard making decisions that can affect the lives and fortunes of many others, a great number of people experience significant stress in their workplace.

And when a man feels stress, what’s one of the easiest ways to get a little relief? Simply retiring to the men’s room and rubbing one out!

Of course, not all men feel over-stressed at work. They may self-pleasure for other reasons. For example, a man with a really boring job may self-pleasure simply to have something interesting to do. And some men self-pleasure at work even though they’re happy and content; they simply accept that their sex drive demands some attention and are pleased to acquiesce.

Benefits
And beyond the sheer pleasure factor, there can be definite benefits to getting off in the workplace. By releasing tension and relieving anxiety, it can help a man to focus better on his work. Many men are in a better mood and are less likely to become quarrelsome with co-workers after some useful stroking. The possibility of getting caught also helps some men to become more alert and attuned during manual stimulation, and that feeling often stays with them afterward.

When performed with proper care and regard for one’s job security, manual stimulation in the workplace can make a man’s work life much easier. It may also make his manhood a bit sore, so he needs to regularly use a first class manhood health crème (health professionals recommend Man1 Man Oil). Often men at work may skimp on (or neglect altogether) lubrication, which can make the manhood skin raw. Application of a topical crème with a combination of a superior emollient (like shea butter) and hydrator (like vitamin E) can repair damaged manhood skin and provide soothing moisture. That raw rubbing can also de-sensitize the manhood, the last thing a man wants. A crème with a potent neuroprotective ingredient, such as acetyl L carnitine, provides protection and relief from peripheral nerve damage that diminishes vital manhood sensation. Keeping the manhood healthy for a much-needed manual stimulation break pays off.

Sex Toys: Proper Care Means a Happy Penis

As a quick Google search will verify, there is a wide range of sex toys available today, many of which are specifically designed to ensure a very happy penis. For optimum penis care (and for the proper care of a partner’s private parts, as well), there are a few precautions one should take with sex toys - but fortunately, these do not really pose challenges and are easy to accomplish. These tips on the care of sex toys can help to make the experience safer and more enjoyable for all parties.

All sex toys need care
First, it’s important to realize that all "durable" sex toys are going to need a little upkeep. Sure, it’s different if a person is engaging sexually with an item that is a "one night stand" only. For example, a woman who uses a cucumber as a dildo or a man who engages in intercourse with a watermelon will, one hopes, dispose of the item in question after it has provided the desired satisfaction.

But for those who are using a manufactured cock ring, anal plug or other sex toy, then proper care is essential to ensure the best experience for all concerned. Among the tips to keep in mind are the following:

- Inspect the sex toys beforehand. Don’t plunk down that hard-earned cash without checking out the merchandise in advance. Some toys (especially some in the "jelly rubber" line) are made with phthalates, which are considered carcinogenic - so it’s good to give those products a wide berth. And if they are porous (which, again includes "jelly rubber" toys, as well as those made with polyvinyl chloride), they are more likely to hide bacteria and harder to sanitize. "Solid" materials, like silicone or steel, are not porous and can be cleaned more readily.

- Inspect them regularly throughout their life span. It’s also a good idea to keep checking out toys after they’ve been used. Some may develop rips or tears, which can become good hiding places for bacteria. If they develop an unpleasant odor, it’s a sign that something may be wrong.

- Sanitize them regularly. Lots of people cleanse their sex toys after they’ve been used, which is recommended; this gets any stray bacteria, fluids, etc. off right away. But even if toys are kept locked away in a closed plastic bag between rounds, they can still come in contact with bacteria. Therefore, sanitizing them shortly before they are used is also a good preventive measure to take. Many sex toys come with instructions for proper sanitizing. Usually, washing in warm, soapy water is recommended, after which they should be dried thoroughly. Some toys, such as those made of stainless steel, can be boiled, if desired. If the toy has parts that move, it’s good to open up the pieces and clean and dry them separately. Special care needs to be taken with toys that have batteries or electrical cords.

- Store them properly. As previously mentioned, once toys are completely dry, it may be beneficial to store them in plastic bags; however, do not store toys together (bagged or not) in a situation where they are touching and rubbing against each other. This can cause wear and tear, but it can also pass bacteria on from any toy that may not have been cleaned thoroughly.

A happy penis will be even happier if the sex toys with which a man is involved are properly cared for. The penis will also be happier if it is kept in good shape itself. Regular application of a superior penis health crème (health professionals recommend Man1 Man Oil) can help significantly. Since aggressive use of sex toys may cause some soreness, utilizing a crème with choice moisturizing elements, such as shea butter and vitamin E, is recommended. These will hydrate the penis and help alleviate contact-related soreness. Since bacteria is always a concern, using a crème with vitamin A will avail a man of its mighty anti-bacterial properties (and thereby help eliminate stubborn penis odor as well.)

Penis Odor and Sports: A Common Combo

Is there a man alive who has not been cursed with pungent penis odor at some point in his life? For some men, penis odor is unfortunately a frequent problem, and it may be especially so for those who are active in sports. Fortunately, taking steps to ensure excellent penis care can help to alleviate even stubborn cases of a rank penis smell - even for those who spend a lot of time working it in the gym or on the field.

The sports connection
There’s no scientific data to back this up, but it stands to reason that a guy who spends a lot of time on the football field or swatting the horsehide around is going to have the potential for a worse case of penis odor than a guy who sits around in air conditioned splendor all day. Being active, especially in hot weather, is going to increase the body odor potential all around, not to mention in the penile area.

Being physically active, of course, is a good thing; so guys shouldn’t forswear sports simply to keep their crotches smelling better. But it is worth a look at why sports may result in a more rank aroma from a guy’s midsection.

- Sweat. Here’s the biggie, of course. Sweat is the main reason why a guy’s penis tends to smell. Even without being physically engaged, conditions are ripe for sweat in the penile area. For one thing, the pubic hair in the area adds an extra layer of warmth that not only encourages sweat, but also catches and holds it in. The fact that the penis is (generally) kept under not one but two layers of clothing also increases the heat and sweat factor. Add to that the fact that many athletes wear jocks, the tightness of which pumps up the heat, and it’s easy to see why sweat pours out of this area. But many athletes wear clothing such as biking shorts that make the crotch even hotter still.

- Testosterone. Hey, testosterone is one of a guy’s best friends. It helps physically define the male, and it also is crucial for both sexual development and sexual performance. Getting plenty of exercise helps to increase testosterone levels. But this necessary hormone also tends to release a distinct odor. In small doses, it can be very appealing to a member of the opposite sex; but in too large doses, mixed with other sweat-created aromas, it can be off-putting.

- Locker rooms. Locker rooms tend to be hot and moist, the perfect place for bacteria to breed. Hanging out in the locker room, especially when naked or clad only in a towel, increases the chances for bacteria to cling to the manhood.

- Improper washing. Many gyms feature communal showers in which guys are washing up in full view of other men. In some cases, this can be a little intimidating to a fellow. He may feel very self-conscious about touching his penis in front of another dude. As a result, he may neglect to wash the area, or he may do so in only the most cursory fashion, rather than giving it the thorough cleaning it needs after a sweaty day on the court.

Tips
To fight that persistent penis odor, athletes need to do several things:

- Wash correctly. Even if embarrassed, take the time to wash the penis thoroughly.

- Dry. Drying helps prevent bacteria from accumulating after a shower.

- Powder. Consider using a gentle baby powder to keep the area drier.

Crème it. Penis odor, whether from sports or other sources, is less likely to occur if a guy daily uses a top notch penis health crème (health professionals recommend Man1 Man Oil). The crème must include vitamin A (sometimes called retinol), which is blessed with potent antibacterial properties to fight penis odor. The best crème will also include alpha lipoic acid, a powerful antioxidant that helps contain free radicals and fights cellular damage, enabling the penis to thereby better resist odor. The right crème can be an excellent soldier in the fight against penis odor.

Sex Toys Fun: Is a Male Chastity Device for You?

The use of sex toys can open up new vistas for many couples. For men, cock rings, imitation vaginas and anal plugs are among the more common items in this category, but the male chastity device also has many adherents. Used with proper attention to penis care, a male chastity device can provide men with an opportunity to expand their sexual horizons.

What is it?
Simply put, a male chastity device is a tool which prevents a man from being able to utilize his penis in a sexual manner. This includes both partner-based sex and masturbation.

Typically, the male chastity device is a "cage" which fits over either just the penis or over the penis and balls. The device may be made of metal, rubber, silicone, or another substance. It may be fairly solid, covering most of the penis and/or balls, or it may be more "skeletal" in nature and have some open gaps in it. There is a slit in the end of the device so that a man may urinate while wearing it.
When wearing the chastity device, the man (or another person) is unable to stroke and stimulate the penis, minimizing the possibility of erections. In addition, the device is designed with little "wiggle room," so that when a non-manually-stimulated erection occurs, it has less room to grow and so tends to soften rather quickly.

What is the appeal?
The device is typically designed to be locked, so that the male wearing it is unable to remove it. Men who enjoy wearing chastity devices are engaging in a form of orgasm control and/or orgasm denial.
In theory, a man wears a chastity device to which his partner has the key. The idea is to wear the device for extended periods of time, often several days. During this time, the man is not able to fondle himself or be fondled. When he does become aroused, he is unable to masturbate or engage in other forms of sex, so that he may experience frustration. Often, the partner comments upon this in a manner which demonstrates her/his dominant role in the relationship - he or she now effectively "owns" the man’s penis and is able to decide how long he must undergo sexual frustration before being allowed relief. Men who enjoy submissive play may find this tremendously exciting.

Not always so long
In practice, many couples use the chastity device for much shorter periods of time - usually just a few hours, role playing a dominant-submissive role but with an end in clear sight. This allows a man to indulge a wish for submission without losing total control. This can also be intensely erotic for some men.

There are some good reasons for limiting the amount of time one spends in a chastity device. If the device does not fit correctly, it can cause the penis to become raw and sore, and this can lead to some de-sensitization. A too-tight device can also cut off circulation or pinch the skin in a painful manner. Additionally, many doctors believe that using such a device for more than a few hours at a time has the potential to do long term-damage. However, many men who use one appropriately and for short periods of time find that their orgasms when released are exceptionally vibrant.

All sex toys should be used with care, and the male chastity device is no exception. If the penis experiences minor irritation from its use, regular application of an exceptional penis health crème (health professionals recommend Man1 Man Oil) can help provide relief. If penis sensation has diminished somewhat from use, a creme with acetyl L carnitine can help reverse the problem. This ingredient helps to soothe peripheral nerve damage, which is responsible for much of the loss of sensation resulting from a rough sex situation. Since blood flow is crucial for penis function, the crème must also contain L arginine, an amino acid that aids the relaxation of penis blood vessels so that there is ample room for blood to flow in and out as needed.

Can Penis Pain from Prostatitis Be Related to Testosterone?

Prostatitis (and the penis pain associated with it) is one of the most common penile concerns that men face, and for many, the condition is unfortunately chronic. The results from a new study looking at chronic prostatitis now suggest that testosterone levels may play a role in this painful condition -- knowledge that may be useful for men as they plan their penis care regimens.

About prostatitis
As might be guessed from the name, prostatitis affects the prostate, a gland that is a component of a man’s reproductive system. The prostate is found between the penis and the bladder and is responsible for making fluid that is a key component of semen.

Prostatitis occurs when the prostate becomes infected or inflamed. The gland becomes quite tender in this state, and it can therefore create considerable discomfort in the groin area. If the infection spreads throughout the urinary tract, the pain can become even more intense. Men are most likely to experience this pain when urinating or ejaculating, but it may exist at lower levels all the time. Aside from the physical aspect of this condition, a man who has chronic prostatitis may also experience moodiness or feelings of depression.

Testosterone
There can be numerous factors that may play a role in developing prostatitis, but a recent study in the peer-reviewed "Journal of Sexual Medicine" has found that a man’s testosterone level may be an important factor that has not typically been associated with the condition.

In this study, scientists looked at 948 men who had low testosterone levels (defined for this study as lower than 3.5) and at 4,740 men whose testosterone was above 3.5. When they looked at cases of prostatitis (whether, mild, moderate or severe), the men with the lower testosterone were more likely to have prostatitis than the men with the higher levels.

Factors
The scientists also tried to factor in other factors, such as age, weight, etc., but even taking these into account, there was enough evidence to suggest that testosterone does play some role in prostatitis development. However, there need to be further studies to see if these results occur again, and also studies that are designed to look at some factors that this study did not cover, such as smoking or drinking.

Treatment
If future studies provide enough evidence of a testosterone link, this may help doctors to better treat - or even prevent - prostatitis. Treatment typically depends upon the cause associated with an individual case. If a man is prone to developing prostatitis and testosterone turns out to be a factor, therapy with the hormone may be beneficial. That, of course, will require further studies to determine in which cases it is beneficial and at what doses. So this study is a "baby step,’ but on which has the potential to bring about change down the road.

In the meantime, men with penis pain - especially chronic penis pain - need to consult their doctors. If the pain is due to prostatitis, the doctor can determine the cause and the best course of treatment - which may be antibiotics, pain relievers, muscle relaxers, prostate massage, dietary changes, etc.
While testosterone may one day be proven as a link to prostatitis, men need to deal with penis pain issues in the meantime. Keeping the penis healthy can help, and premium penis health is more easily obtained if a superior penis health crème (health professionals recommend Man1 Man Oil) is included in one’s daily penis care regimen. If the crème contains vitamin D, a man knows that his penis is receiving a healthy dose of the "miracle vitamin," which boasts proven benefits in fighting disease and in keeping cellular function healthy. The best crème will also include a potent antioxidant, preferably alpha lipoic acid. This antioxidant combats free radicals that cause cellular damage through oxidative stress. Keeping the free radicals at bay keeps penis skin looking younger and healthier. A healthier penis is in a better position to resists penis pain.

Sex Tips: Feeding the Foot Fetish

As society has become more and more open concerning sex, sex tips have proliferated in general, as well as in terms of areas previously considered forbidden. Because of this, the taboo associated with a fetish has become somewhat more acceptable. It’s still not a topic that typically comes up at, say, the dinner table, but among consenting adults, there is more discussion about special interests - such as a foot fetish, one of the more common sexual obsessions. The man with a foot fetish is in a better position today to indulge his desires, and he should be watching his penis health so that he can indulge more completely.

What is a foot fetish?
Merriam-Webster defines a fetish as "a need or desire for an object, body part or activity for sexual excitement." In the case of a foot fetish, it means that a person is acutely excited by the foot of another person (or, in some cases, by their own foot). The foot holds an erotic charge for this person that can at times be almost overwhelming.

The foot fetish can manifest itself in several ways. It may mean that a person wants to stroke, kiss or lick the foot of their companion. Often they may want to masturbate while "worshipping" the foot; sometimes a man may wish to rub his penis against the foot (or have the foot rub against his penis) in a masturbatory fashion. A person may also wish to have the foot rub against other body parts, both typically erotic (such as the anus or nipples) and generally non-erotic (such as the forearm). For male fetishists, ejaculating on the foot is often a highlight of the experience.

Sometimes the fetish may extend to footwear as well. A man can become intensely aroused by shoes (or parts of shoes, such as stiletto heels), socks or stocking. Tickling the foot may also be a pleasurable activity for a foot fetishist. In addition, many of this persuasion enjoy activities such as washing someone else’s feet, putting nail polish on their feet, massaging their feet, etc.

Sex tips
So what are some of the specific sex tips for a foot fetishist to remember?

- Consent is necessary. Foot enthusiasts need to make sure that their partner is comfortable with their fascination before indulging it. It can be unnerving to a person if they suddenly find a man clutching their foot and masturbating vigorously.

- Be clear about releasing. Male foot fetishists may want to ejaculate on the foot in question, or on shoes, stockings, etc. Again, be clear that this is going to be alright with one’s partner; some might not be comfortable with this. A man should also be sure that a partner is copacetic with his borrowing a shoe or stocking and using it for masturbatory purposes when the partner is not home.

- Watch out for callouses. No matter how much a man may adore another person’s feet, there may be some flaws he is willing to overlook which can cause some issues with his penis. For example, rubbing the member against a foot with rough callouses may irritate the penis and make it sore. Be wary of touching the penis against foot fungus, as this can transfer to the penis, creating an unfortunate itchy penis situation. And a sweaty foot can easily transmit unwanted bacteria to the penis.

All sex tips, whether for a fetish or not, should remind a man to keep his penis in prime health. Daily use of an excellent penis health crème (health professionals recommend Man1 Man Oil) can play a big role in maintaining the penis. For best results, select a crème that includes a range of vitamins, including A, B5, C, D and E; their topical application on the penis enables them to reach their penile-specific targets more easily. A penis which becomes irritated from rough use will need a crème with a potent hydrator such as shea butter to smooth and moisturize delicate skin. After all, a foot fetishist wants to make sure that the penis that touches that adored foot is physically worthy of the opportunity.
