Does Penis Size Really Matter? The Answer and How a Man Can Make the Most of What He’s Got

It’s hard to believe, but nearly half of all men are a little touchy about penis size. When asking groups of men and women if penis size really matters, something interesting arose. There wasn’t just one answer. The answer was different based on situations and the relationship. Let’s take a looksie.

The Situation: The Inaugural Act

It’s the first time with a partner, and it’s usually a bit of an anxious moment. Surely every man wants the "WOW" when he frees his stallion. Here’s the beautiful thing about first times, the D isn’t the star of the show when it comes to overall evaluation and memory. A man merely needs to do two things:

- Last longer than the other dudes

- Do it all better on the first go ‘round than the majority of her/his sexual history

There’s so much going on in the moment that dick size will take a way, way back seat like the trunk of one of those 12 passenger woody station wagons. Have fun and enjoy the moment.

(Quasi) Relationships: The Hook-Up and One-Night Stands

Not surprisingly, women polled mentioned preferred penis size for these sorts of activities was longer and thicker than any other relationship (or lack thereof). Generally, looking for at least seven inches in length and a nice thickness. But why the want when, in other cases, women are less concerned?

Well, in a one-night stand, it’s all about the sex. There’s no real get-to-know-you as a person that can otherwise augment a woman’s feelings about you. When it comes down to the purely sexual, it’s physical and chemical, baby. Now, that’s not to say every woman is demanding you’re Dirk Diggler, it’s just they may get a little more excited for a meatier sausage.

Here's the thing, though. There are plenty of guys swinging a big stick who are crap in bed. Like, really bad. Women will not be singing their praises. It’s usually the opposite. What makes them give you the "five-stars would ride this ride again" review aside from package side? Proper hygiene and smell rank high, but not as high as men who are good kissers and are skilled and generous with oral sex.

Interestingly, on the other side of the fence, gentlemen who prefer men may not want to see one bigger than theirs as it can cause some comparison and competitive feelings. Big is also only desirable if the sex is good. It’s the same for everyone - the skill and generosity of a lover will always outrank size. And those things are entirely in a man’s control. That’s in essence how you can turn a good one-night stand into a friends-with-benefits situation, or more if you are so inclined.

Relationship: Playing the Long Game

Okay, so penis size isn’t the most crucial thing for a relationship to last the test of time, but it doesn’t hurt. Let’s put it simply: a big dick won’t drive a partner away (unless it’s painful), and it likewise won’t keep someone around.

An enjoyable sex life is key to a long-lasting relationship. The average penis size for men is 5.4 to 5.6 inches erect. Women polled generally all were happy with their dude’s hotdog. So, most men are getting the thumbs up on size. Less than 10 percent of women are unhappy with their partner’s schlong, so long as he’s awesome. So, be awesome and you’re golden.

How to Make the Most of What You’ve Got

Many men are happy with their trouser snake, but who doesn’t want a (third) leg up on the competition? Here are a few ways for a man to work what he got and also secure the #1 Lover mug he’s been wanting for Valentine’s Day. Incorporate one or more of these and will penis size really matter? Nah!

1) Trim the Bushes - Manscape to make your penis look bigger. Why hide your light under a basket (of pubes)?

2) Lose Some LBs - Whittle that waist to a healthy weight, and you could get some inches back. Some studies show that a 20-pound weight loss could get you an extra half inch.

3) Oral - Do it and do it well. Enough said on this one.

4) Break Open that Kama Sutra - Certain sexual positions are particularly effective for various sizes of penises. Do a little research and find the positions that best suit your unit (there are tons for every size) and keep those in the repertoire. It’s not to say don’t try others but know where your sweet spots are.

5) Keep it Fresh - No one wants to get face-to-face with a stinky wiener. Practice habitual hygiene! Wash daily or more if needed, be thorough, and rise well. Wear looser undies, so it doesn’t get dank in the drawers. Use a specially formulated penis health creme (health professionals recommend Man 1 Man Oil, which has been clinically proven safe and mild for skin) to not only keep skin fresh but also to boost blood flow to the penis for a stronger, fuller erection that is sure to impress. Use once or twice daily for optimal penis health.

The Debate: Does Penis Size Really Matter or Is There Something Else More Important?

At one time or another, every man has wondered if penis size really matters to his intimate partners. Can it be too small or too big, too girthy or two thin? It sounds like a Dr. Seuss book. This fixation on the size of a man’s penis is a tale as old as time. Believe it or not, big dicks were not all the rage during certain points in history. A smaller member was seen as more refined in some cultures, while a gigantic sword was literally worshipped in others. What’s most surprising today is society really puts the pressure on penis size. Everyone in the modern world knows Pete Davidson has a serious case of BDE (Big Dick Energy). However, when it comes to the individual, studies show that size really doesn’t matter unless it is an extreme. Here’s the lowdown on penis size and the real measure of a good lover.

The Penis Size Study

Researchers at UCLA and Cal State LA tackled the subject when they published a report about women’s satisfaction rate with their partner’s penis. The researchers did a two-part study to collect the maximum amount of data ultimately answering the does penis size really matter debate. In addition to in-person interviews, the researchers posted their survey questions to a wider audience on MSNBC.com and as a result, added 26 thousand new responses to their data. The demographic was diverse and included women ages 18 to 65. Men also answered questions as well.

The good news? Over 84 percent of the participants reported being “very satisfied” with their man’s penis. A mere fourteen percent would like a little more BDE in their lives whilst two percent of respondents would actually like something a bit smaller.

Now let’s look at what the dudes said. Two-thirds of the male respondents believed their penises to be “average” which concurred with what women reported about their partners. But wait, here’s the interesting part. Women were only half as likely as men to describe a partner’s penis as small, and more women were likely to call it larger than the men. For instance, men who perceived their penis as small measured in at 12 percent while the women chimed in with only six percent, proving that penis size is all in the eye of the beholder.

5 Ways a Man Be A #1 Lover without a Big Stick

Not every guy is blessed with a big schlong. Honestly, sometimes it’s a curse. It can be too big and hurt a partner or the man owning the mammoth unit could just be a bad lover. Size isn’t everything. In fact, women report that there are five other factors more important than penis size. So, for the men who are feeling a little unhappy with penis size, fear not! Here’s some things to keep in mind when getting down and dirty.

1) Confidence – Men and women both say confidence is the sexiest thing there is. Men should confident in not only what a they have physically, but also what they offer additionally. Swagger, charisma, and a perfected flirting skill prime a partner for sexy time.

2) Partner Focus – Time and time again, women say having a generous lover who really connects and cares about their partner’s pleasure is the hottest thing there is.

3) Foreplay – Taking time to kiss, touch, and excite are all ways to please a partner that have nothing to do with the penis. Enjoy and extend the making out, it’s often the first thing to go in a relationship but it’s what stokes the fire.

4) Oral – Going down on a lady and doing it well will guarantee repeat invitations. Only 15 percent of women can orgasm through penetrative sex, the rest need other direct stimulation, and, in this case, the tongue is mightier than the sword.

5) A Welcoming Member – There is nothing worse than a funky, questionable penis. A well-groomed penis is a must for hot sex. Be sure to meticulously clean and rinse the penis daily and apply a specially formulated penis health creme (health professionals recommend Man 1 Man Oil, which has been clinically proven safe and mild for skin) to keep the penis fresh, pumped up and ready for action. Look for a crème that contains penis health promoters like vitamins A, B, and C and have other amino acids and antioxidants to keep sensitivity at its peak.

Does Penis Size Really Matter? The Answer May Surprise You

It’s the age-old question – Does penis size really matter? From a very young age, boys are obsessed with their penises. As they grow older, that relationship only develops and grows. Watching adult films, lots of time in locker rooms, and penis competitions has given penis size a lot of importance and that can make a man anxious and lose confidence. However, while there are some people who prefer a larger unit, the majority of people don’t. They are more interested in the person, their values, actions, and sexual generosity than the size of their trouser snake. Skeptical? Read on to see the proof in the penis size pudding.

Survey Says

Researchers at UCLA and Cal State LA published a report about women’s satisfaction rate with their partner’s penis. An overwhelming 84 percent reported being “very satisfied” with their man’s meaty appendage. Only fourteen percent had hopes of a bigger bulge while two percent would prefer something a bit smaller.

It’s All about Perspective

This same study took it to another level. The researchers went beyond their in-person sample and posted their survey questions on MSNBC.com and received over 26 thousand responses from women between the ages of 18 and 65. While this group covers a wide demographic, the numbers themselves are staggering and relevant. Men also came out in droves to answer these questions, themselves just under 26 thousand (serendipity anyone?). It’s pretty interesting what researchers found out.

Of the male responses, two-thirds of them found their penises to be “average” which coincided with what women reported about their partners. Here’s where it gets interesting – women were only half as likely as men to call a partner’s penis small, in fact, more were likely to call it large. For instance, men who called their penis small ranked in at 12 percent; whereas, only six percent of women would call their man’s penis small. Men who described their member as large made up 22 percent and 27 percent of women called their man’s penis large. So, does penis size really matter to women? Probably not a whole lot if the numbers are the basis for the answer.

So, why do men evaluate their penises and what is it based on?

Penises Throughout History: Big Not Always Better

In today’s society, men are inundated with big, some may say insanely large, bulges looming in underwear ads, Magic Mike movies, and porn. However, it was not always this way. In fact, a large penis was not always a symbol of the ideal man (whatever that is).

In ancient Greece, figures in mythology with the biggest wangs would be the object of both mocking and negative view. Aristophanes would warn young men that if they didn’t behave, their penises would grow (starting to understand where the storyline from Pinocchio came from), while if they were good or reversed their naughty doings, they’d be able to keep a small penis.

It’s not just the ancient Greeks! Those lusty Italians also valued a small schmeckle during the Renaissance. Take one look at Michelangelo’s David and other male nudes from that period and you’ll see they are all proudly rockin’ gherkins. Back then, believe it or not, it was not the shaft that showed virility, but the scrotum. The bigger, fuller, and lower the balls, the more macho the man.

What changed all of this smaller is better love going around? Technology, of course. As soon as man could take a picture, roughly around 1840, he took a dick pic. Once they got those pictures in motion, porn was immediately behind it. No longer a valet for the testicles, the penis became the main focus and has remained so since.

Penis Plus: Other Stuff that Outweighs Penis Size

Clearly, size isn’t everything. Anecdotal accounts from women demonstrate that other things matter too. The first thing women bring up is it’s less about what he’s got and more about how he uses it. Good technique and effort make a big difference (something some women cite men with especially large penises lack because they are resting on their BD status). Other women would suggest that the size of a man’s tongue and his willingness and skill when using it is more predictive of sexual satisfaction.

A well-groomed penis is also much more attractive to a partner. Be sure to thoroughly clean and rinse the member daily and use a specially formulated penis health creme (health professionals recommend Man 1 Man Oil, which has been clinically proven safe and mild for skin) to keep the penis strong and ready for action. This crème is particularly helpful as it contains vital ingredients designed specifically for penis health like vitamins A, C, D and E, and Shea butter for a smooth, supple penis.
