Can Botox Change Penis Size?

Penis size. It’s something men spend way too much time thinking about, whether it’s worrying about whether their own measures up or feeling jealous that another guy clearly “outranks” them in this entirely superficial way of categorizing masculinity. Since penis size is not generally a penis health issue, and since most men are sufficiently endowed to provide sexual satisfaction to their partners even if they cannot compare to a horse, there’s no reason for penis size to be such an obsession. But reason and reality don’t always go hand in hand – and thus, there is now interest in using botox as a means of increasing penis size.

What is botox again?

Lots of guys have heard of botox, but it may well be one of those words that rolls around the brain without a guy being able to quite put a finger on what it is. Botox is a short way of saying botulinum toxin, which is a protein caused by some forms of bacteria. But it’s not just your everyday garden variety protein – it happens to be one of the most lethal toxins around; the bacteria that creates it also causes botulism, which is widely associated with food poisoning and is nothing to joke about.

Amazingly enough, though, botox is used – very carefully, one hopes – to treat some medical and physical issues. For example, muscle spasms and migraine headaches often respond well to exposure to botox-related products.

But botox really became better known a couple of decades back when it was discovered that injections of botox could help rid or diminish – wait for it – wrinkles. Suddenly, many women (and yes, men as well) were having botox injections to smooth out those foreheads or cheeks. And by the way, some men who did not like looking down and seeing how wrinkled their testicles were – though wrinkling there is unrelated to aging – have used botox to really smooth out their balls.

Botox and penis size

But where does botox come in where penis size is concerned? Back in 2009, some scientists published the results of a study in which they took 10 men who felt that their penises were too short when flaccid (although they were apparently satisfied with their erect length). The scientists realized that botox works in muscle spasms by enabling muscles to relax. They also realized that when the dartos muscle contracts, it causes the flaccid penis to shorten, and when it relaxes, it lengthens. By targeting the botox injection to the dartos muscle, there was some noticeable lengthening of the flaccid penis in 7 of the 10 men they studied.

Some doctors have since reported an increase in girth of penises injected with botox as well. But the jury is still out as to the true safety and efficacy of using botox to increase penis size. And since administration at this point still involves injecting into the penis, men who don’t like a needle near their penis may especially be wary. For the present at least, most doctors are not convinced of the wisdom of using botox for penis size changes.

Penis size, whether enhanced by botox or not, is far less important than penis health, so men would be well advised to keep their penis healthy and to regularly use a first rate penis health creme (health professionals recommend Man 1 Man Oil, which is clinically proven mild and safe for skin). Most men will want to look through the ingredients listed for the crème to see if it contains L-arginine and L-carnitine. The former is an amino acid which helps produce nitric oxide; this then helps keep penile blood vessels open and expanded. The latter helps to maintain appropriate penile sensation, which can otherwise be diminished due to ro8ugh handling or nerve damage.

Can Botox “Help” an Erect Penis?

Many readers are aware of a growing trend among some men to use Botox injections to "smooth out" their penis and scrotum skin. Now it has been revealed that there are some doctors using Botox to help a man achieve or maintain an erect penis. Clearly, this raises issues around the subject of penis health and safety, as well as questions about whether these treatments are effective.

About Botox

Most people have heard of Botox, but what is it exactly? Technically, Botox is a brand name which refers to onabotulinumtoxinA, a form of the neurotoxic protein called botulinum toxin. Botulinum toxin, in its natural form, is a very dangerous poison, the cause of botulism. The form used in clinical purposes is less dangerous; however, it does carry the risk of side effects, some of which can be serious or even life-threatening.

Botox was originally used as a medicine to fight a range of muscle spasm issues. However, it gained popularity after it was discovered that it could be used to fight wrinkles and smooth out skin, making a person appear younger. Many women (and men) have gone to a doctor and suffered having needles ejected into their faces to remove the evidence of their age.

As mentioned, it was more recently determined that injecting Botox into the penis and balls helped smooth out those body parts as well - and some men have opted for this treatment.

Erect penis use

But there have also been a few studies that focus on what else might happen if Botox was injected into the penis - specifically, would it have any effect on an erect penis? And at least two studies indicate that it can.

Premature ejaculation

An animal study indicated that Botox injections might help an erect penis delay in ejaculating. Since premature ejaculation is a common issue among men - and since even those who typically are not premature may wish to find a way to last even longer - this development could be of interest if it works.

In the animal study, the Botox was injected directly into the bulbospongius muscle, which is used in the ejaculatory process. The injection partially paralyzed the muscle, so that it did not go to work as early as it typically does. In the animal model, typical ejaculation occurred after 6 ½ minutes; those who were Botox injected lasted ten minutes.

A clinical trial in humans is ongoing; it will be interesting to see if there are similar results in human males.

Erectile dysfunction

The other possible therapeutic area for Botox involved getting an erect penis in the first place. In this instance, the drug relaxes the smooth muscle of the penis, which should allow for easier, fuller blood flow into the penis. A small clinical trial in humans was promising, although larger trials are needed to determine its real effectiveness - and what the proper dose should be. (Relaxing the smooth muscle too much for too long could bring about unwanted priapism.)

Men who are interested in using Botox for their erect penis should realize that the FDA has not approved its use for these purposes yet. There is still a lot that is not known, and as stated, there are some substantial risks associated with Botox.

Until more is known about Botox use on the erect penis, guys should explore other ways to maintain their penis health. One reliable way is the daily use of a superior penis health crème (health professionals recommend Man1 Man Oil, which is clinically proven mild and safe for skin) . Check out a crème that includes L-arginine among its ingredients, as this amino acid is a key component of the process whereby penile blood vessels are dilated to become receptive to increased blood flow. The best crème should also include vitamin D which is crucial for proper overall health. Since vitamin D is created by sunlight and since most penises spend little time in the sun, supplementing them through a crème is encouraged.

Smooth Penis, Smooth Balls – Is Botox the Answer?

For many years, Botox has been the go-to medication for those who want to smooth fine lines and wrinkles. It also has some medical benefits as well, and might be used off-label for everything from migraines to digestive issues. Those who are interested in good penis care might think that Botox is something that should never be near the penis - however, some men have found that Botox injections in the scrotum lead to a very new and interesting look. Is this is a good idea?

What is Botox?

In order to understand how this process works, it is important to understand the properties of Botox. The drug is made from a neurotoxin, the same kind of toxic substance that causes botulism - which is, of course, a terrible toxin that can lead to serious medical issues and even death.

But when that toxin is harnessed in just the right way, it can be used to create temporary muscle paralysis in the area in which it is injected. Botox has been used by countless men and women over the years and has been found to be surprisingly safe, considering that it came from such a potent origin.

What is Scrotox?

That clever name is simply a way of saying that Botox is injected into the scrotum. This is done by numbing the skin over the area, then injecting Botox into the dartos muscle, which is just below the skin. The result of paralyzing that muscle is a relaxing of the skin around it, making the balls appear smooth and larger. In some cases, the doctor can go a bit further and inject Botox into the cremaster muscles, which will allow the testicles to drop.

The result is a much smoother and somewhat longer sack, which some men see as being much more handsome than their usual wrinkled scrotum. However, doctors point out that it doesn’t actually make the scrotum bigger - it just makes the skin smoother and a bit ‘floppier.’ Keep in mind that it doesn’t do anything at all to create a smooth penis, as it only works on the muscles that hold the scrotum.

Is it dangerous?

In the hands of a skilled plastic surgeon, it isn’t dangerous to have Botox injections almost anywhere in the body, including the manhood area. However, the balls cannot be made completely smooth, as that defeats the purpose of what the skin is meant to do - it is supposed to contract and move with changes in temperature in order to protect the testicles. Therefore, many doctors are quite careful not to use too much Botox.

What else does it do?

Interestingly enough, some men will opt for Botox to help prevent sweating in the groin area. Botox seems to have a slight effect on the sweat glands in the area, which comes in quite handy for runners or bikers who face horrible sweating during their daily workouts. The result is much less chafing, penis irritation and redness.

Maintaining a healthy, smooth penis

It is very important to remember that injecting Botox into any part of the body should be done only by a qualified medical doctor. And though Botox might make the scrotum appear smoother, it does not do the same for the penis, so injections should never be applied directly to the member.

In order to keep penis skin as smooth and supple as possible, it’s a good idea to use a top-notch penis health crème (health professionals recommend Man 1 Man Oil, which is clinically proven mild and safe for skin) on a daily basis. Men who want the smoothest penis possible can look to a crème that includes numerous vitamins and nutrients in a base of Shea butter and vitamin E. These two emollients will help ensure a supple, handsome and smooth penis.
