Sex Positions for the Shower

How does one make a steamy shower even hotter? With shower sex, of course. Along with being an important component of a man’s penis care regimen, shower time can be a prime opportunity to spice up a couple’s sex life. Couples need to take certain safety precautions when engaging in this racy activity - detachable handles, a shower mat and silicone-based lubricant are important to have on hand, for example. Along with these considerations, it behooves a man to have some shower sex positions lined up in his mind so that he and his partner can make full use of this unique environment. Below are 6 positions that are great for shower playtime.

1) Outer Play
This first position actually doesn’t involve penetration, but serves as a great foreplay move. If the partner is cool with it, the man can suds up her buttocks and pump his manhood in between the cheeks while using his hand - or, better, a detachable shower head - to stimulate her clitoris. Not all partners are comfortable with butt stuff, so check in with her first.

2) Standing Doggie
The female partner can bend over and support herself with her hands on the rim of the tub while the man enters from behind. If there is a significant height difference, the woman may need a stool. If a stool is used, both partners need to ensure that it is sturdy and secure. The man can hold the woman steady at the hips, and she can either spread her legs (if not using a stool) or keep her thighs squeezed tightly together for an ultra-deep feel. This position is great for woman who like deep penetration, and for men who like going deep.

3) Wall-Press
In this position, the woman’s front side is facing the wall and her arms are stretched up and against the wall. The man enters from behind and can press the woman’s hands into the wall if both partners like this element of control. He can also place his hands on her hips for greater thrust control.

4) Man Chair
A man can make himself a very enjoyable chair for his partner by sitting down and stretching his legs out (bending at the knees if he’s tall). The woman can then face him, sit on his lap and go for a ride. The hot water will gently massage her back as she rocks back and forth, making this position even more pleasurable.

5) Leg Lift
The female partner can bend her leg and place her foot on the edge of the tub while the man stands in front of her and enters. Again, a stool may be needed if a drastic height difference is in play. The woman should have something secure to hold onto, such as a stable shower rod, so that she can maintain balance.

6) Leg Lift (Assisted)
In this position, the woman presses her back against a wall and the man stands in front of her; she lifts her bent leg, and he places the back of her knee over the crook of his elbow to hold her leg up.
Note: Some people who are not comfortable with anal play are down for it in the shower, but not everyone. A man should never assume that the butt is open territory, whether for manual, mouth or penetrative play. Couples should discuss boundaries before trying anything new.

After a hot session of shower sex, a man might be sore despite adequate use of lubrication. He can do his skin and nerves a favor by applying a quality penis health cream (health professionals recommend Man1 Man Oil) after drying off. Natural hydrators keep skin smooth and supple, while vitamins and antioxidants protect nerve and circulatory function. Keep a product in the bathroom for easy access after showers, whether sex was a component of tub time or not.

Shower Sex – Keep it Safe and Fun with these 3 Tips

What’s not to like about shower sex? It’s steamy (literally), streams of water cascade down both lovers’ bodies and, of course, both are already naked. Shower sex can be thrilling for both partners, but there are special considerations that need to be kept in mind, ones that don’t always come into play in the bedroom (or any other place besides the shower). Regular showers are clearly a component of good penis health, and shower sex can be a healthy component of a couple’s sex life when the following are taken into account.

Lube Back-Up
There are few places wetter than the shower, but, somewhat ironically, showers can dry out natural lubrication from the penis and vagina alike. That’s because the water washes away the organs’ lube, and water simply doesn’t pass muster when it comes to providing adequate friction prevention during sex.

Silicone-based lubricants are a couple’s best bet in the shower, as they’re the hardest for shower water to wash away. Ample lubrication is important for preventing friction that can result in penile and vaginal soreness. So keep a good silicone-based lube handy for shower play.

Be Safe
Nothing kills the mood like a partner slipping in the tub while having sex. This is not only categorically unsexy, but poses a serious health risk should the fallen partner smack his or her head on the tub or wall.

The first step to preventing falls during shower sex is to ensure that a shower mat is placed securely on the base of the tub. Shower mats provide friction that prevents slips on the wet, soapy shower floor.

Second, couples should consider investing in a few shower handles. Inexpensive, detachable handles with suction cups allow partners to move them around easily, helping keep both partners steady in a variety of positions.

Another safety area to consider is the use of protection. Some are concerned that condoms are more likely to slip off in the shower. Men can combat this concern by not standing directly in the water stream.

Don’t Push It
For some people, sex in the shower means more openness to activities they aren’t interested in when in a dry environment, particularly when their usual lack of interest involves concerns of cleanliness. Anal play, whether penetration or stimulation by a finger or mouth, is one common area of sex that becomes more acceptable to some when in the shower.

However, a man should never assume that a partner who is uninterested in anal play outside the shower is necessarily down for it during sudsy time. Ideally, couples will discuss this before the clothes come off. If partners are already in the shower and a man wants to know, he should always ask before pursuing a new sexual activity. Never place one’s finger, mouth or penis near another’s posterior without prior consent. Otherwise, a man risks not only turning a partner off completely, but violating him or her as well and causing a major rift in trust.

Take Care of the Penis
If a man has taken the above considerations into mind, he’s likely to have some pretty amazing sex sessions in the shower. Even though he may have used plenty of lube, it’s not unheard of to experience penile soreness or irritation after vigorous romps. That’s why applying a moisturizer to the penis is a good idea. A quality penis health cream (health professionals recommend Man1 Man Oil) not only contains natural hydrators like vitamin E and Shea butter, but ingredients that promote penile sensitivity and proper blood flow as well, like acetyl L-carnitine and L-arginine. Keeping the sex safe and the penis healthy will benefit both partners, whether in the shower or in bed.
